I recently went to ARD and the reviews you read are legit. I talked to Laura multiple times before I went and I was really nervous. She made me feel better about going and is super cool. Without her they may not have as many patients. A driver picked me up and took me back to the airport so they make everything pretty easy. I was on oxys then suboxone for 15 years after a car accident and was tired of how it made me angry at times and ruled my life and schedule. It helped contribute to ruining my relationship with my daughters mom and I just wanted off of it now. She was not very supportive either. It is a fast process for the worst of the withdrawals but you will need to follow their program when you get home. Frieda is great and adjusted my meds on the days I called. I’ve been home a month and I still have low energy and lethargy but I’m working through that with exercise. Laura keeps in contact with me and she truly cares about people. Pat is awesome and we had some great chats. I recommend going here if you are struggling. It wont be easy but if i can do it, you can too. Now I can enjoy my time with my kids and granddaughter. First, I want to say that this review isn’t based on my personal experience, but a friends who isn’t comfortable sharing their name on this platform.
After months of research, he took a leap of faith and chose this center over a similar center in Florida that was double the price. Because he doesn’t have insurance, he had to come out of pocket so this obviously was the more practical option price wise, but also care wise. If you’re paying 5k+ for treatment out of pocket at a facility, you’re doing so because you want to know you’re in good hands and have a staff of people who will be with you through the process. Releasing someone after 24 hours to a hotel room with active monitoring just doesn’t seem right when you’re paying 20k+ for a treatment (the other facility doesn’t accept insurance either). Of course, rehabs want to make money- a business is a business. But that doesn’t mean everyone shouldn’t be treated with respect and quality care. The staff here, on the other hand, supported him the entire time and made sure he got the care he needed. He is 6 months sober now!
The treatment isn’t by any means “easy” but Rome wasn’t built in a day. No treatment is going to be easy to break the shackles of addiction, you have to want your sobriety and to be free. If you don’t want it, no treatment will save you from going back and using. But if you want it, then this place is a no brainer. You will feel some exhaustion, maybe even a lack of motivation but the important thing is to get up and move around. All of that will balance itself out. Take vitamins before and after your procedure, and thank God for another day! I am currently saving up to come here for my own treatment from an Oxy addiction, and will update my review from my personal experience once I have.

1 year ago today I made the 5 hour one way drive in a blizzard to drop my love off. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. To drop him off in a parking lot and turn around and leave without him, broke my heart. This place was a pivotal part of my recovery journey. I was here twice, once in September 2019 and once in March 2023 (which was my last time in rehab). I’ve been to several different rehabs all over the state and I’ll say this:
Brighton isn’t the nicest facility, they don’t have the best food, but Brighton has THE BEST therapy, therapist, and THERE is where you get some of the most one-on-one time with your therapist. They give you real thoughtful work to do on your own and hold you accountable to change and doing the work if you say you really want it. Their IOP is Amazing and the sessions lead by Mo changed my life. Dudes awesome 👏
Anyway, never a fun experience but 100% would recommend.

I Was a patient here 5 years ago I started drinking at the age of 14 and got into other stuff at 19. I didn’t know how to live life without a buffer Brighton gave me the tools to begin the recovery process I am still clean and sober after a horrible detox from barbiturates and Suboxone, I am thankful and grateful everyday that I made the decision to call and ask Brighton for help. Even after being shipped out to the hospital after 2 weeks they let me back in and gave me the tools and advice to start my recovery process.

Best experience for recovery in the state in my opinion. Food is great, plenty of activities, outside time, basketball and other enjoyable options. The classes were amazingly enjoyable and informative. The staff and cooks were always helpful , kind. They offer AA or NA meetings. If you’re struggling with any substance abuse you owe it to yourself to at least check them out. Don’t hesitate to start your journey to sobriety. You’ll thank yourself later.

I’ve been through 3 therapists at this clinic, they were very nice people. The service is great, the ladies at the desks are always kind and helpful.
Only things I would say is that sometimes the therapists go against your opinions and judgement and make you feel out of place or out of control. BUT all of my experiences here have been pleasant. Loved my past two therapists, Mattie DeBoe (no longer a therapist, moved to higher position) and Kelly anthi.
Compared to pine rests outpatient/inpatient care facility, this place is paradise. Their inpatient and outpatient facility has many many issues with the inpatient and resident facilities, the outpatient facilities are very helpful and welcoming, quite opposite of the inpatient.

I didn’t think I had time for recovery, but the flexible schedule and awesome staff made it possible! They respected my culture and never made me feel ashamed. Common Ground staff saved my life! I spent about 8 days in the CRU. When I arrived, I had basically given up. When I was discharged, I had a small flicker of hope. The CRU was the perfect setting to readjust my meds. The staff are super awesome and will bend over backwards to try to get whatever you need for your recovery.

I’ve been coming since since November 25, 2024 & I believe it was meant for me to come this clinic cause when I called the 800 number to get in another facility that I wanted to go to , they couldn’t get me in into sometime in December & I was telling the representative I can’t wait to dec I’m not gon make it gonna relapse so she said Nardin Park had an opening mind you I’ve never been on methadone
I didn’t even know it was a Methadone clinic but I took what the lady offered me & im on methadone now and it has helped me stay clean from pills.. they’re about business at nardin park good staff Great counselors well the two that I know of Ms. Todd and Ms.Burton I love them they’re so awesome n helpful but don’t take no bs as well .. long story short I’m happy to be a patient here don’t get me wrong. It’s a lovely clinic, but I don’t plan on being here for a year after the year. That’s my goal but I’m happy I came here with the right people much love ❤️

This place is the best! I’ve been to other treatment centers but Nardin Park outclasses them all by leaps and bounds. The staff has a friendly but no nonsense attitude which I appreciate. They are professional and caring at the same time. For someone like me that is here for treatment and not a “Social Club”, NPRC is the place to be!!!
Well, it’s 2023 and time for a life change. Thanks to NPRC I have been “clean” for over 2 years. I feel that I am ready to take the next step in my life. Time to detox out of the program. I am so ready to move on. Thank you NPRC staff for helping me to put my feet on solid, stable, drug-free ground.

My son has been sitting in the emergency room at Corewell since Sunday and the VA don’t even care. My son got so frustrated they jumped on him and drugged him. The VA isn’t worth a dam dime. He’s being beaten up and drugged waiting on a bed at the VA. Who ever is in charge of this need to step up or Almighty God will help you step down and put someone who’s in charge of helping VA with mental trouble. They just going to keep beating him up at the Corewell emergency room in Saint Joseph, MI. Everytime he has a mental breakdown.

Detoxification is commonly referred to as detox and is a medically supervised process for individuals in Michigan. The state borders four of the five Great Lakes and has over 3,200 miles of freshwater coastline.
Detox is the process that clears substances from the body, while medical supervision may help manage intense physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms. It’s usually the first phase of treatment for individuals dependent on alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, or other addictive substances. Detox can occur in various settings, including hospitals, inpatient facilities, and specialized detox centers, and may last several days to over a week. The time depends on the substance involved, the severity of use, and the individual’s health status.
During detox, clinicians monitor vital signs, administer medications when appropriate, and intervene if complications arise, such as seizures or hallucinations. Emotional support is also a key component because individuals may experience anxiety, depression, or cravings.
It’s important to note that detox alone doesn’t address the behavioral, psychological, or social factors of addiction. While it clears the body of substances, ongoing therapy and relapse prevention strategies are essential to sustain recovery. Detox is most effective when immediately followed by structured inpatient or outpatient treatment.
