About Peak View Behavioral Health – Outpatient

The Peak View Behavioral Health Outpatient Program in Lone Tree, Colorado, offers a customized and convenient solution for those who want to remain engaged with work, home life or school while working on their mental health or substance use concerns. Their primary outpatient programs are a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP).

The PHP offers near-daily therapy support. This is especially useful for post-inpatient care transitions or those with severe but non hospitalizing therapeutic needs. The PHP usually provides psychotherapy, group therapy and psychiatry to treat a wide variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma and addiction.

The IOP is best suited for those who are transitioning from the PHP or need continued help and support but can handle daily activities. It covers the same areas as PHP treatment in terms of emotional health and recovery from substance abuse, but with a targeted lens that provides more autonomy. Both programs are designed to create a comprehensive experience, incorporating evidence based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). These methods address root causes and promote healthy coping mechanisms.

Complete joke of a company, the doctor was nice but the appointments are 3 minute phone calls, little care if any at all. It s impossible to get a hold of anyone. They schedule appointment without telling you, won t call you, and then charge you a no-show fee on a tela-health appointment even though they never called. Refused to refill a medication that extremely dangerous to just stop taking even though I put in 4 refill requests. I had a uranalysis test they made mandatory and scheduled without my knowledge, luckily I saw the appointment through their patient portal, drive an hour to the office and there not open. Literally nobody there, lights off, door locked. They said I couldn t get a refill on my medication until the dr got the results of this test. Absolutely ridiculous and completely unprofessional. I don t understand how they are still a company especially one that offers health care services. They really should be shut down

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Just look at the other reviews. They charge me for a 30 minute appointment when they just call me for 3 minutes at most. Won't tell me when they are going to call me. If I call, I'm on hold for 5 hrs and then the call drops. I tried going in person to pay for my copay and they closed early. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM!!

I strongly recommend you avoid this company. Their phone system does not work correctly and their customer service blames you for having a spam blocker. Then they cannot see you for days or weeks. The doctors are excellent, when their phones work. Go somewhere else and save yourself the hassle.

My 14 year old daughter was supposed to have new patient appointment at 10 AM with Dr. Dr. Kevin William Kilimann, MD no showing. They then rescheduled it for 2 PM and again Dr. Kevin William Kilimann, MD no showed again. We asked if this is common for providers to no show there new patient appointments and they stated no. Its also abandonment of care with having the prescreen done prior to the physician seeing you. This provider needs turned into the board. zero stars for all the time wasted and away from my own patients on this incompetent provider and office.

Don't even bother with this company. Poor communication and they didn't verify my insurance and didn't even tell me there was an issue. I had to call for them to tell me that there was an issue day of my appointment 30 min after it was supposed to start.

READ THE REVIEWS! there is a reason this is 1 star. I begged for help with my severe PTSD. They said they would help in the first session but wouldnt prescribe anything until labs were done. I have been attempting contact for an entire week now and they will NOT respond. Doctor OR staff.

You are all a complete joke when it comes to mental health care. I have been "seen" for YEARS at Compass. Just stuck with it because it is so hard to find new care providers, my mistake all along to stay. However, I had an appointment scheduled at 2PM yesterday (09/07) with Dr. Warren. There was no phone call. I logged in to see if maybe I had the appointment wrong. It was noted in my chart that the physician didn't call due to there being a balance on my account, (from last month). Are you KIDDING me. If someone would have taken one quick look at my account they would see that I have never let a balance stand for long. To cancel a mental health medication check in due to an outstanding balance is the most atrocious business model I can imagine. SHAME on you all and this establishment as a whole. You are all the epitome of the worst there is in mental health care. I will not be back, and I most surely will not be giving any referrals.

The Drs. are absolutely awful. I find the staff extremely rude and disrespectful which is unprofessional. I called 50 other Dr's for a new patient appt but ultimately this was the only place that had an opening. I had a DNA test done through them and no one went over financial obligation with me. They just told me that if I get a bill to let their office know and they will take care of it. Now I have a bill for over $3,000, and they deny any of what I said. My husband was their and confirms my experience. I feel incredibly uncomfortable in this place but have nowhere else to go atm.

Extremely disappointed with the services provided by Compass Health. I strongly advise against choosing them, especially if you're a new patient. My recent experience was absolutely terrible. I had scheduled a Telehealth appointment since it was the only option available, which I was fine with. However, they completely failed to call me at the designated time. I followed up three times, every two hours after the scheduled time, seeking answers. Each time, I was assured that the call taker would reach out to the manager of patient services and that someone would promptly contact me to complete the appointment. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up whatsoever. To add insult to injury, four days later, they finally decided to give me a call, asking if I wanted to reschedule. What a joke! It's evident that they don't value their customers or the importance of providing timely and efficient service. It seems like they couldn't care less about attracting new business. I strongly caution against putting your trust in Compass Health. They have proven themselves to be unprofessional, unreliable, and clearly disinterested in providing quality care to their patients. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a healthcare provider that actually values your time and well-being.
