The Elms provides a case management model to assist residents in learning new ways to successfully live a drug and/or alcohol free lifestyle. The program relies on a peer mentorship model, and building positive relationships amongst the residents. Resident clients are expected to share the responsibilities associated with the cleaning of the facility.

The Elms is located in downtown Amesbury, and is within walking distance to numerous stores, shops, hospitals and medical offices, churches and synagogues, gyms, parks, and river and beach access. The program is located within minutes of the Nick Costello Transportation Center for easy access to public transportation.

Inpatient

Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Outpatient

Outpatient programs are designed for clients who are medically stable and not at an elevated risk of relapse, including those who have already completed inpatient care.
