My Son is nonverbal and is on the spectrum. We were taking him to the office in Leesburg but his Doctor retired and the closest appointment we could get him was at the office in Cleremont with Chantel Baptist. The first 2 visits with her were ok, unfortunately we missed an appointment in October due to me being in the hospital having an emergency surgery. We went to his appointment in November, mind you we live a hour and half away, for them to turn us away because we had a school I.D. and not a Florida I.D. I called to reschedule that appointment and they tell me the next available is January 15th due to the doctor being on vacation, I asked if they would call a refill in of his medicine because he'll be out before his next appointment. They refused too and told us that if he has withdrawals to take him to the ER

I was seeing Chantel Baptisce for the first time because my Doctor had just left my location and was waiting for the new doctor to start. Soon as I walked in her office she looked me up and down and right away I felt uncomfortable. She would constantly cut me off and would talk over me when I tried to talk. Right away she wanted to change my meds even though I said it was working so well for me and was helping me have a better life. She made me very anxious and after I left I said I would never go back. Absolutely terrible experience.

Accepted Insurance

LifeStream South Lake works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs encompass multiple levels of care to facilitate clients' progress through their recovery journey. Clients who are stepping down from inpatient treatment may require intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, which involves more frequent and substantive therapeutic interventions than does standard outpatient care. Outpatient centers typically provide extensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Medication assisted treatment programs (MAT) and recovery-focused life skills training are also common in outpatient care.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients typically choose inpatient rehab when they are in early recovery or are experiencing a crisis that puts them at an increased risk of relapse. They reside at the treatment center for the length of their program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Intensive psychotherapy is often the primary treatment modality, but clients in inpatient care may also receive holistic treatment and recovery-focused life skills training.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The first step of the recovery process involves the removal of all drugs and alcohol from your system while under 24/7 medical supervision. Known as a medically assisted detox, you are closely monitored by medical staff who can provide medications, if necessary, to help alleviate any potential withdrawal symptoms. Medical detox is usually followed by a period of inpatient addiction treatment.

Treatments

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Mental health and substance abuse treatment in Florida is offered by dual-diagnosis facilities that can provide comprehensive care tailored to your needs. By integrating mental health, medical care, and therapeutic care, medical experts can effectively treat both co-occurring mental health conditions, stabilizing your mental health, and helping you learn vital skills to achieve long-term recovery.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

During family therapy sessions, you navigate the complexities of addiction and are provided tools to help improve communication and resolve conflicts. When you work together, families can better support their loved one's recovery and restore balance and harmony within the household.

Lied to us in person about calling the morning of appointment to inform me that my 6 week follow up appointment with the PMHNP to go over bloodwork and medications (testing my liver function on the new meds,) was cancelled. Only to push the appointment out another six weeks. (oh you have enough meds until then, was the office clerks statement) Worse care ever, feels like you are just pushed aside. For those who truly need quality mental health care go someplace else.

you cannot get through to anybody at this place!! nobody ever picks up the phone or returns calls!!! we have had my son drop medications cold turkey because they wouldn’t get back to us for refills!! ended up in the ER with a $10k bill because he had a seizure from stopping his meds suddenly!! not a reliable place AT ALL! a place taking care of mental health patients should be WAY more attentive than they are!!! not returning multiple voicemails about medication in 2 weeks is unacceptable!! get more staff or a better phone person because this nearly cost my son his life!!! we will NOT be back and nobody else should either!

Update as of 02/20/2024. A lady named Michelle (the doctor) is racially motivated and will retaliate for no reason. I will make sure her license is pulled!!!! I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend it!! This place needs to be shut down!! The kids come out worse than when they went in! Richard is not stable himself he has life issues himself and does not seek help for himself at all, and take it out on the client's! There is a reason this place has a 2.3 stars out of 5. The ones with 5 stars are fake reviews. Stay away!!!!!
