Two stars are for my therapist. As for High Focus, it requires much more organization on the administrative side.As a result of my intake appt, I'm informed I will be attending their Intensive Outpatient Program, a 9-month program condensed in 8-weeks. Immediately I receive a notification of a repeat meeting that will last 8-weeks. Within 2 weeks of the start of my therapy sessions, I meet a psychiatric nurse who informs me of my return to work date which is within the next 2 to 3 weeks. EXCUSE ME? Within a week of meeting the nurse, she leaves causing my mental health to be severely impacted because her exit plan wasn't planned very well. THANK GOD for my therapist. Within a week, I'm aligned with a psychiatrist to discuss my progress (or lack there of). After this check-up, I felt deplated & unheard. The psychiatrist is more concerned with my return to work date then recognizing I'm not ready. As a result of this conversation, I'm prescribed more meds not the option to extend therapy to address my mental health concerns. BUT, THANK GOD for my therapist who listened & took action. I just feel like I'm being rushed out of the program with medication. If the 9-month program is being condensed into 8-weeks, why are clients being rushed through the program? My anxiety wouldn't be at an alarming level if the administrative & medical staff were more aligned & organized. WHY NOT schedule the client for the program's full 8-weeks, monitor their progress every 2 weeks. Within the first month, reevaluate to determine is this form of therapy working? If yes, then discuss discharge date from program or the need to keep in program or does this individual require another form of therapy? This experience with High Focus has heightened my anxiety & hasn't truly addressed my anger & grief BUT thank God for my therapist. If it wasn't for her, I would be returning to work worse off from when I was placed on leave. High Focus really needs to take a thorough look at the intake process. Also, I believe I'm being rushed through because I'm being placed on the same timeline of tjose transition from their partial hospitalized program into intensive group therapy. Two different programs, CORRECT? Don't rush my therapy based on another program. I believe, my 8-weeks is being shortened because of this. Very disappointing & discouraging to have this feeling & this office still believing I'm ready to return. BUT THANK GOD for my therapist & my therapy group. If you choose to come here, ask questions, get clarity, & don't allow yourself to be rushed through. Advocate for yourself.

Accepted Insurance

Center for Addictive Diseases works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

I sat for the 3 hour intake just to find out that they could not provide transportation for some of the days my daughter would be attending. That they also don’t supply meals for lunches. So we went with a different program.

I am in my second week of High Focus Center's Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and I have had an outstanding experience. I have the capability to participate virtually, with the in person group, and it is working very well. I love the expressive therapy groups (art, yoga, sound, meditation, etc.), and the psycho education materials. We have a small group and plenty of time to process and participate. In the past two weeks, I am feeling significantly better and I am excited to keep going with my daily challenges. Amazing group of people and positive energy.

I cannot say it enough I really don’t know what I would do without going to IOP. All the tools I learned really helped with getting me on track to feeling okay and meaning it. This whole team is the BEST! Thank you Alexa!

I’ve been here for both PHP twice and IOP once so far in the adolescent unit. Heads up, the lower reviews are older, and the facility has improved a lot since then and has made changes to accommodate patients. Staff does their best to help. Very kind, accommodating, and lenient. Groups are fun and offer a variety, such as dance, music, yoga, art, etc. Staff also offers psycho-ed and has process groups every day to make sure that every patient gets to talk about what they need. The only minor problem I have is the lack of windows in the group room, but the staff do their best to make up for it. Definitely would recommend!

They made a great effort to make the room we were in very cozy and welcoming! Even though there were no windows, since it was in the middle of the building, the therapists made me look forward to going there!
