RCA was the best experience of my life in the worst time in my life possible I felt like nothing could go right until they trained me and taught me mentality. I needed to move on with my life, protect my sobriety and help others.

I would recommend this place to anyone! I myself had the best experience here for my inpatient recovery ! Could work on somethings like the food and how they serve it. Other than that it was over all the best experience I had!

All of the staff there is helpful and as friendly as you are. It is a bit slow when trying to get referrals and appointments to outside practitioners and other VA centers for specialist and coronary tests.

Rated #2 in all VA's in America. It's breathtaking views and classic architecture make it more like #1. On premises cafeteria, and gift shop, add a real convenience. Located in beautiful Chester County, Pa., it's only minutes to famous Downingtown, and West Chester.

My brother is a resident. He is well cared for each and every day.

I felt compelled to write this as my loved one was a resident there, and I am extremely thankful for all of their support. Seth was always there to help me when I needed advice and assistance for my loved one...even after they were discharged. He made that very clear that I could always reach out, and I could not be more grateful to them/him.

Thank you PRC, I have 402 days clean and sober today because of the excellent treatment that I received from the entire staff. I got the help from Chris my therapist to work on more personal issues with alcohol drugs and mental illness. He also helped me with my family to. I saw a psychiatrist and a doctor. They provided me with recovery home to live. I feel blessed today and I know that if I stay clean and sober for today, life is worth living. Thank you

My Experience here is wonderful.I know that the staff cares .. I have gotten a job while here . And I am working on my recovery . The tools you learn while here can take you far. The staff are also great.They keep you busy working on your self. The house managers are real. They don't allow you to go by the wayside. You will be held accountable. If you are working the program of recovery whether mental or SUD , trust me you will see the growth . Those staff who stood out , are all of them ..They go above and beyond to make sure you accomplish your goals. So I give them a Five stars . Cause they are very compassionate. You gotta come here wit a open mind . Liz Yoga groups and Sam art therapy are great. Equine with Ms Cat is therapeutic. Ms Jen Grief group with the candy and heartfelt shares are awesome. The rekie class is flawless. Mary and Megan see to it that we are provided with things to do. Weather it's Softball league ,Gym Passes to work out . Sheile the intake assistant is real as they come . Olivia is a joy to communicate with. And Luke, Neil , and Reggie , Sarah and Timber are all that ... Can't forget Emily ,Veinna , Brooklyn therapist Jen , Julie , The book club Teacher , Anthony, Eric , Kai , and his martial arts class and Emilee they all have touched my heart . Compassionate Care I can’t say enough good things about the VA Hospital in Wilmington, DE, and the care they provided to my stepdad. From the moment he received treatment, the staff showed genuine compassion, patience, and professionalism. They treated him with dignity and respect and made sure he felt cared for every step of the way. Our family truly appreciated the time, attention, and kindness shown by the doctors, nurses, and entire staff. It meant a lot to know that my stepdad was in the hands of people who genuinely cared about his well-being. Thank you to everyone at the Wilmington VA for the outstanding care you provide to our Veterans and their families. Your dedication makes a real difference, and we are truly grateful. I've been driving my father here, several times a year, for quite some time now. Staff is always welcoming, the doctors, in any field, always speak with my father like they've been friends for years & making sure he knows exactly what to expect before, during & after his procedure/surgery. Athough it's a hike from the Atlantic City area, the doctors & staff make the drive worth it every single time. I'm actually here now & although there's a bit of a wait, it's still comforting knowing my father will be in good hands.

Earlier today I realized I was out of medication while traveling. This VA hospital got me exactly what I needed. It took a little time because their travel liaison was out of office so I had to go to their ER, and they were on a different system than my home VA, but I really appreciated their dillagence. Literally saved my brain from imploding on itself and were so patient!

Great place, I learned so much from the older people there and it helped me mature and grow in an amazing way. Bri and Lauren were incredible and group sessions were mixed with open sharing and activities to shift your mind to something else. I joined evening and morning classes and both were great.

Taking great care of me. 6 East staff is amazing. I have been here for 10 days. The food is really good which is a positive change from years ago.

My review is in regards to the ER here. We arrived around midnight, I had quite the scare. I have never visited a VA facility so my inprocessing/check in took a little long but I was patient and they stayed in communication throughout the process while constantly apologizing for the wait, which I really didn't mind - I never expect to be immediately seen at any ER lol. Once I was checked in, everybody I dealt with from the nurses to the doctor to the person that conducted my CT scan were so warm and comforting through my issues. I felt instant relief once I was in my room dealing with the medical staff. I can not stress enough how silly I feel ever feeling hesitant of visiting this facility. I have never been treated so well by medical staff. VA facilities have had a stigma over the years but I can not stress enough how wonderful of an experience I had once I was I checked in.

It's been quite the experience. I have an amazing team n have gone here 4 Healthcare for decades.

Was in there Back in 2003, around before Christmas. Place was beautiful and so surreal and peaceful... Helped me appreciate life Can be beautiful to just look at soberly. Psyhs. Good too. Food was awesome too. They even made me hand poured flapjacks for breakfast. And sausage 😋 I am currently Sober thanks to A lot from MALVERN. I HOPE TO REVISIT IT SOMEDAY SOON JUST FOR A GROUP OPEN MEETING 🙏 🙏 🙏

My sister and I admitted our father to the rehabilitation center six days ago. Only the workers and patients are allowed inside. The guard stopped us at the door, but he was friendly and empathetic. He assured us that he would be well taken care of, which was true. I was particularly concerned about his safety and well-being because of the negative reviews I had read. According to the rehab policy, I couldn’t contact him, and he was only allowed to make phone calls with his counselor. He managed to make one call and was released today. I finally had the opportunity to talk to him about his experience. Our father is a retired attorney and highly intelligent, but he has struggled with addiction throughout his life. He can be belligerent and argumentative at times. I was unsure how the staff and residents would interact with him. To my delight, my father had an excellent experience at the center. He described the facility as spotlessly clean and the staff as friendly and cultured. He praised the food and mentioned that he was able to get plenty of rest. The only downside he mentioned was that patients were limited to two or three ten-minute smoke breaks outside and there were no activities to keep them occupied, making his days feel long. I found this to be a pity, considering the center’s beautiful surroundings. Fresh air and sunlight are essential for health and well-being, but that was the only complaint he had. Overall, I highly recommend this center and wish my father had chosen to stay longer. I would also like to mention that the admission process was quick and easy. The representative was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this center, provided that you are okay with not being able to contact or speak with anyone from the center at all or hear from your loved one on a very limited basis. Thank you!!

Entered Valley Forge Hospital 36 years ago today (July 18,1981) and today I celebrate 36 years of continuous sobriety. The staff at the time taught me to listen, learn and examine my motives. I was a horrible patient but they got through in spite of myself. We started the Valley Forge Alumni Association (me, Linda McD. and and Curt C.) in 1981.The place has done a lot of good for a lot of people. Sobriety isn't for those who want it or even for those who need it. Sobriety is for those who are willing to do the work to earn it. Once we stop complaining and start doing the work, life gets better. May God continue to bless us all. EDIT. Just celebrated 45 years of continued sobriety. Everything I said 9 years ago still holds true. Sobriety is earned on a daily basis. Life is wonderful. July 18, 2026. Keep on keeping on. Sobriety works...... Just keep doing the work.

I recently just left Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital, & honestly, I would give this facility a 9.5/10. I’ve been to two different hospitals within the last three years due to the loss of my brother, & out of the experiences I’ve had, Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital stood out to me the most. The reason I’m giving a 9.5 instead of a 10 is mainly because I feel like communication between staff could be a little better at times. Other than that, I honestly had a really good experience. From the moment I got there, I felt welcomed, safe, respected, & cared for. I know I probably asked for about 10,000 things at once , but I felt comfortable enough to ask because the staff made me feel like I was at home rather than just another patient. I especially want to recognize the C2 floor because the team there really made my stay what it was. I had an amazing team, & I could tell that the staff genuinely cared about the people they were taking care of. Everybody has different personalities & different ways of doing things, but they were still respectful, helpful, patient, & willing to work with us. I honestly felt like C2 had one of the best teams there. While everyone else wanted to go to B2 because they thought C2 was “boring,” I actually enjoyed being on C2.We had puzzles, books, activities, conversations, & little things that helped make the environment feel peaceful. Sometimes you don’t need a bunch of excitement when you’re already going through a lot mentally. Having a calmer environment gave me space to think, rest, & focus on myself. I also want to recognize the lunch crew because they were part of making the experience feel welcoming too. From the people working on the floor to the people helping with meals, I felt like everyone was doing their part. I noticed that the staff are not robots. They’re human beings who have a lot of patients to care for, & even when they couldn’t get to everyone immediately, I could see that they were trying their best. The facility itself was also one of the cleanest hospitals I’ve been in. That stood out to me because cleanliness can really affect how comfortable & safe someone feels while they’re receiving care. The staff were also very helpful, & I personally never experienced or witnessed a client being mistreated, abused, or neglected during my stay. As a Certified Peer Specialist, advocacy is something that is very important to me. If I ever saw someone being treated unfairly, I know I would want to speak up for them. I also understand that people can have different experiences, so I would never tell someone that their experience didn’t happen just because I personally didn’t witness it. I can only speak on what I experienced, & my experience was that the staff I interacted with were willing to help, followed the rules, & did their best to care for the patients. I recently left Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital, & I honestly left with a grateful heart. I’ve been to two different hospitals over the past few years during some very difficult moments in my life, & Brooke Glen truly stood out to me. I felt welcomed, safe, heard, & cared for—not just like another patient. I especially want to recognize the C2 team. ❤️ The staff were patient, kind, helpful, & genuinely made me feel comfortable. The little conversations, laughs, help, & even just knowing someone was there made a bigger difference than they probably realize. C2 will always be the floor I remember most. I also appreciate the lunch crew & everyone working behind the scenes. You all helped make a difficult time feel a little easier. My only suggestion would be better communication between staff, but overall, I’m truly thankful for my experience. Thank you, Brooke Glen, especially C2, for taking care of me during a time when I really needed it. ❤️
