Its business as usual with 7 out of 10 self-righteous, all of a sudden morally superior drug dependency counselors who act as if they are Senior Corrections Officers high on a false sense of power and authority, instead of humble and kind "recovered" addicts who are in the field of helping others less fortunate "still caught in the crossfire." The treatment groups are redundant psychobabble sessions instructed from boring repetitive "worksheet handouts" that become mental torture to endure, unless your ironically one of the fortunate opioid addicts, in which case they GENEROUSLY dose u with enough suboxone to skywalk on a PhARMAceutical high cloud through grouptime from "morning devotion" to dinner. If u cant transform into a mindless drone and conform, follow, and obey INSTANTLY as u enter their admission doors to receive their PHARMACEUTICAL induced zombie-state of PSEUDO treatment, u will inevitably suffer staff antagonizing u, preying on your downfall, and literally encouraging you to leave and "go relapse!'' 9 out of 10 of the patients I was close to and graduated, relapsed within 6 months of leaving there. In addition, securing a bed through their sober living program is so arbitrary it can be considered equivalent to Section *8 lottery. One on one Case-Management by randomly assigned Counselors provides inadequate 'fill-in-the-blanks'' insignificant resources that 9 out of 10 successful graduates that came in homeless and destitute are NO better off the day its time to leave, than the day they came in with no where to go. I ASSIGNED 1-star rating review only for the precise aspect they have that attracts patients to them: THEIR LOCATION, the beautiful city of SANTA MONICA. Make no mistake "clare/matrix" is a business machine earning revenue readily providing pharmaceutical drugs to substitute illegal substances, without providng adequate treatment necessary to substantiate their fallacious claim of "changing lives." If you have a close friend, respected colleague, or valued family member who suffers from the disease of addiction and you seek to get him/her life-changing treatment, DO NOT be misguided to elect CLARE/MATRIX because even though it is located in Santa Monica, this ambitious business portraying a "Treatment Facility" does not reflect the lofty core values of higher quality living demonstrated by sorrounding environment.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The goal of couples therapy in California is to strengthen the couple's relationship. The therapist may take one or more approaches to counseling which may include the Gottman method, emotionally focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic couple's therapy.

Family therapy offers a platform for members to have an open dialogue about the challenges that addiction has placed on the family unit. Through guided sessions, therapists can help families develop healthy communication skills and address unresolved issues. By working together toward a common goal, they help to support their loved one's sobriety.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

I can't find my review. This place scared me off of getting help. They were mean, demoralizing, cruel and heartless(If you consider ignoring me and insulting me all at the same time, heartless). If you need help this is the last place to go and the man who is dark skinned, tall, with glasses? I'm not sure of his name but he was the worst of them all and needs to be fired.
