I was discharged today short of 18 days of completing my 90 days of treatment which puts my possibility of reunification with my children in jeopardy because I refused to share a room with a trans man. I expressed to the counselors that due to my trauma with DV I didn't feel safe with this individual in my room. The counselor along with Mary who is the director of the women's program will not take into consideration your well being. They do not care about the clients recovery. They triggered my trauma and became personally attached. They create an unsafe and anxiety filled environment. I would but recommend anyone to use this facility. If you are legally referred to this facility demand reconsideration.

I am an alumna from the C.L.A.R.E. Foundation. I must say my experience was life changing. I take a CA panel into the center every 3rd Saturday of the month.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The goal of couples therapy in California is to strengthen the couple's relationship. The therapist may take one or more approaches to counseling which may include the Gottman method, emotionally focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic couple's therapy.

Family therapy offers a platform for members to have an open dialogue about the challenges that addiction has placed on the family unit. Through guided sessions, therapists can help families develop healthy communication skills and address unresolved issues. By working together toward a common goal, they help to support their loved one's sobriety.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

This place was okay with how you have outside freedom, most of the staff actually care about your well being. Erika the counselor was a blessing and she really cared about where we ended up if we ended up getting discharged and making sure we're on top of our case managment as well as multi-tasking and being respectful. Taylor also has compassion and helps to her best ability to make sure your taken care of. Sometimes the lack of low staffing can affect the counselors ability to get to everyone but they really do try their best. Unfortunately, since i've been there two counselors quit right off rips because of the way they are treated by the director Mary. She doesn't care if she sends you to the streets and will discharge you immediately for things clients are trying to work on like emotional sobriety. Seeing how we didn't get individual therapy it was a struggle maintaining emotions, loneliness, and working on factors that will actually help our recovery. Johnny's groups were a hit or miss sometimes but he definelty cares as a counselor. He encourages attending outside meetings and taking us to the beach which was a plus and meditation therapy. Cici's groups were fun most of the time with art therapy and allowing us to get up and move around to keep us entertained for the ADHD clients. They are silly about store runs and get on you as the night counselor Evelina creating problems when or if your store run doesn't go as expected because of lack of my food card working. And then when I apologized to her she responded negatively and unprofessionally knocking me down by saying "I know how you are and the way you act so I think you meant it. I dint accept your apology. Instead of giving positive feedback like hey, I know your working on it, we make mistakes and its part of emotional sobriety so thank you for acknowledging that and continue to better yourself and respect others, no matter the consequences would of been an professional response. But she said I was bugging her and she didn't accept my apology. when I just was having a bad day and asked my official counselor if I could go to the store again which she agreed to. Miscommunication on the staff but my wrong of having an emotional outburst, ill admit. I didn't expect to be discharged for it because thats what i'm there for, to work on changing. So stay clear of Mary and emotionally breaking down. Otherwise, they try to get you through your days. The place can be kinda dirty so I would scrub the walls and clean the offices to stay busy. They gym is sub-par and they're food can be also. Red gate is a decent program where I attended after clare kicked me to the streets. They work on trauma therapy, individual therapy and outdoor activities with a fun unjudgmental environment unlike clare. The woman treated each other with jealousy and stealing from clients with no consequences. The place could use a paint job. And new doors. Other wise I give it three stars. Good program and groups.
