I felt lost, anxious, confused, and ashamed. But as soon as I stepped into DEDICATO they treated me with compassion and empathy, I wasn't judged at all. I felt so at ease and comfortable. Dr. Marshall is very understanding he knows where I was coming from and he felt my pain. The staff treated me like family. The first person to greet you is Lilly with a smile and helps with any questions you might have, Kalen a staff member and a physical trainer is their by your side step by step. I call them the three wise men again Dr. Marshall keeps it real with me, that's what I wanted honestly, by my side during my journey on recovery. I have David an awesome person has great group zoom meetings. Charles keeps it real also honest and humble, very understanding. I recommend this place to everyone and everybody who wants to change their lives and recover from any addiction. They will give you hope and become a better person.DEDICATO save me!Thank you DEDICATO for being there for me.

Miguel, thank you my freind for your words. Your words are a breath of fresh air. In this profession it can be tough due to the psychological, physical, and social ramification addiction has on the person and the family. It's not often that we get a review from people, but when we do and know that what we are doing is having a positive effect it's so darn rewarding. I appreciate you taking the time to ackowledging me and especially the team of people I work with. God bless you and your journey...

Dr. Marshall is a prime example of fighting the odds and changing his life in a complete 180, inspirational in so many ways. I'm lucky to have the privilege to attend his classes at The Salvation Army and every time it is an exceptional lesson I learn. His story from having nothing to being successful in school, attaining multiple degrees in college, and opening up rehabs of his own shows his determination and will power to want change and better for himself and still try to help others. He has shown great resources and ways to be successful and it is extremely helpful to have a source like him to listen to and learn from. This smart, encouraging, and helpful human being, Dr. Marshall, has helped and is still helping lives daily by sharing his life story with passion and honesty and teaching lessons to help the ones still struggling in addiction. I'm thankful for his heartfelt and hopeful words that inspire me to be a better man and human being, the honest and sober way! - Julio Diaz

Accepted Insurance

Dedicato Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Fitness therapy blends exercise with psychotherapy for a fun, inspiring, and effective way of treating addiction and other issues. By incorporating movement into counseling sessions, clients become more empowered, motivated, and goal-oriented, all while strengthening their bodies and becoming more flexible. Fitness Therapy is usually used to complement a course of treatment (inpatient or outpatient) to make it even more successful. Increasing the connection between a patient’s mind and body helps both with healing as well as in creating new, healthy habits.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Dr. Marshal completely changed my life. Thanks to his guidance and the tools I received at Dedication, I now have almost five years of sobriety and this year, I opened my first women’s sober living home. More importantly, I’ve been able to heal not just within myself, but with my family too. What makes Dr. Marshal different is that he tells the truth—even when it’s hard to hear. This isn’t some watered-down, feel-good program that takes your money and leaves you empty. This is real healing. He offers a clear and honest design for living—one that truly works if you’re ready to commit. I’m living proof. The pictures are some proud moments over the years. This is what true healing and sobriety looks like. Good friends, a great education, family by my side, and I have a higher power that looks out for me!

I am so honored to have been a part of your recovery journey. Our team loves what they do. We totally appreciate your words of encouragement. As you know addiction is cunning and baffling to the person who is suffering. Often people have a hard time breaking patterns of denial and admitting to themselves that they have a problem. God used you to be a positive motivating force in the lives of others, and place us as part of your journey.<br><br>Your sober living is beautiful, structured, and very safe. I pray that other women who truly want a safe environment in a really nice neighborhood and setting, realize what a gift you and your sober living home are. I wish you the very best with your sober living and Dedicato Team will be a true partner with you. Thank you again for your acknowledgement and encouragement.

I have read all these reviews say some very pleasant and positive things about Dr. Keith Marshalls, but my experience with this man wasn’t very pleasant at all. Dr. Marshall lacked professionalism in my opinion. Dr. Marshall also made the assumption that a woman with blonde hair is Caucasian, he made a racial/ stereotype statement while trying to claim he was being racially profiled. His behavior was unacceptable. No matter how many books Dr. Marshall has written or awards he has won, doesn’t excuse him from being impolite.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
I don't know who you are or have been acquainted with you. I do know I was in a Dr. office recently and was talking to "my wife" about issues related to "our" experience related racism. We were talking about someone and the way they treated us and may have referenced what we perceived their race was, BUT WE WERE TALKING AMONG OURSELVES. If you heard something and took it out of context that's unfortunate. <br><br>Who ever you are...you have a right to your opinion, however you have never been at my center or have been involved in anything I do as professional. My name is known among the professionals in the business I conduct. If you know my name(and that is obvious), and heard comments about someone that had nothing to do with you or my business, writing a review on google "about me" personally is erroneous and unfounded. <br><br>I will still wish you peace... Me being an African American man and someone who has worked hard to achieve personal success has dealt with racism all my life and is very sensitive to a multicultural diverse community. <br><br><br>

Ours is a world full of fragmentation and brokenness. A world that exposed how extremely deficient we are with respect to having enough "essential workers" in our recent pandemic. I was afforded the privilege in January 2023 to attend a training titled, "Cultural Competence: Be Empowered to Help & Not Hurt" at the Dedicato Treatment Center, guided by Dr. Keith Marshall. Not only is Dr. Marshall an essential worker, his teaching through this training equips others to become "essential workers" on some level. The training was filled with valuable content, providing me with a new set of self-reflecting tools that will help me engage with a diverse culture - in ways that will "help not hurt." I left the training thinking to myself, "everybody needs this!" I pray that Dr. Keith Marshall continues to have a heart for those who are broken, addicted, hurting and struggling. I pray that his work and efforts to duplicate his knowledge in others continues. Great work Dedicato Treatment Center! Great work Dr. Marshall!

I happened to be invited to Dr. Marshall's Cultural Competency training and was very impressed with the level of insight and education that was provided. My team at Glendora Recovery Center really valued the passion that was projected and the interactions with all of the members of the training. Will be attending further trainings! Thanks a lot!

This experience was nothing short of amazing. I came here to support a friend and was surprised by the changes he was making in his life. I asked him what he was doing and invited me to attend support groups on the weekend. The knowledge, love, and human regard experienced at these meetings was unlike anything I have experienced. Just being there made me understand why it was so easy for people to open up and engage about their mental health struggles and addiction problems. Programs like this are what help save lives and make me want to take my own struggles more seriously. I recommend anyone who needs help with substance abuse and mental health to this program seeing what it has done for others like my friend.

My experience while living at Dedicato Treatment Center was very rewarding. The atmosphere there is peaceful and the house and grounds are beautiful. This lends itself to a safe environment in which to grow mentally, physically and spiritually in sobriety. Dr. Marshall, Miss Lilly, the wonderful staff, and the team of therapists are knowledgeable and caring. Hence, I believe this period to be a very positive milestone for me. As an older adult, the freedom and self-awareness I gained is invaluable to me for this next chapter of my life!
