Had a great experience here! Everyone on staff was incredible! Very kind and empathetic people doing God’s work. Taija is a great therapist with seasoned experience and advice. And James, the case manager is one of the best workers I’ve ever seen. Very professional, and an excellent case manager. I’d come again, but only to say hi and not get high.

This place goes above and beyond for its clients. Let’s just say I’ve been there more than once on my road to recovery. The staff have become my second family. I can’t say enough good things about this treatment center. From day one, the staff and owners made me feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for. You can tell they aren’t just here for a paycheck — they truly love what they do and go above and beyond to make sure every client feels safe and valued. One of the things that stood out to me was that they let me keep my phone. It might sound small, but it made a huge difference being able to stay in touch with my family while still committing to the program. That balance of trust and accountability helped me stay grounded during my stay. The therapy and case management here are what really set this place apart. The therapists were knowledgeable and compassionate, always willing to meet me where I was at instead of forcing a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Case management worked with me step by step, helping me set goals, prepare for life after treatment, and build a foundation I could actually maintain. Since graduating, I’ve stayed sober — and I honestly credit that to the tools, guidance, and support I received here. This isn’t just a treatment center; it’s a family that gives you hope and equips you with everything you need to rebuild your life. If you’re struggling and looking for a place that will treat you with love, respect, and real care, this is the place to go.

Hollywood Hills Recovery gave my loved one a second chance at life, and I’m forever grateful. From the moment we reached out, the admissions team was kind, responsive, and truly understanding of what we were going through. Throughout the program, the staff kept us informed and involved. The clinical team was incredibly professional, offering personalized therapy and evidence-based groups like CBT, DBT, and relapse prevention. It wasn’t just about detox—it was about real healing. The facility is beautiful and secure, and the holistic therapies like yoga, art, and fitness made a real impact on their emotional recovery. Today, my family member is thriving, and I truly believe Hollywood Hills Recovery made that possible. If your family is struggling with addiction, this is the place to trust.

This is the best rehab I have been to. The staff and people there were so wonderful and did their very best to help me through my drug addictions. They did their best to get you out of your shell and to feel like you're apart of a loving, easy-going family. I've been to many rehabs, and it's safe to say that this rehab was the main reason I got clean. The staff really cared for you and made you feel loved and included. The attendees made the experience so awesome, I couldn't have asked for more. The rooms were very nice and relaxing. The food was awesome, as well. They accommodate for any allergies and they still make it taste good, which is almost impossible when you're going through withdrawals. The classes were fun and laid back, which allowed me to not have to speak if I didn't want to. They challenged me to get better with the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, which I feel was the most important part of the recovery. Anaheim Lighthouse allowed me to really look deeply into my life and see what I was doing wrong and what I should strive to be. I'm extremely thankful for Anaheim Lighthouse. Without it, I wouldn't know what to do.

If you are like me, you have been tirelessly researching online or calling various sober living facilities - feeling heartbroken, lost, desperate, and confused - all while facing a decision which would directly impact the livelihood of a loved one. No pressure, right? My family member had just completed rehab outside of Los Angeles and needed a sober living facility with good and honest people to help them adjust back to “real life.” All I knew at this point in my search is what I wanted for them. I was looking for a sober living facility where they would have focus on the program, be given the direction and guidance of counselors with care, be introduced to meetings around LA, all leading up to the goal of steering them back to a healthy and positive life. The real (and scary) answer is these places are hard to come by. I unfortunately saw that first-hand. Now to get to why I NEEDED to write this review. Nexus. 5 letters that make up a word I want to shout from the rooftops with such profound gratitude. Yes, my family member chose to do the work, take it seriously, make it a priority in their life, but it is also about who you surround yourself with. Nexus gave my family member a community bringing people into our lives which have changed it for the better. Nexus gave my family member counseling which has opened them up to realizing their true potential without the need of drugs or alcohol – they are just grateful to be walking in their shoes sober. And one of the most important attributes of Nexus you may ask? Those that run the program. Halim, Johnnie, Rob, and Dano. I will never forget the first night I talked to Halim. And I say “talked” as if it was only one time. We spoke at least 10 times and he was a savior. He picked my family member up from somewhere where they were drowning and brought them to the Playa house. I was in a different state and was powerless but Halim was there. How could I have been more fortunate? I am forever indebted to the people that work at the Playa house (house manager, supervisors, techs, case managers, drivers) and the program Nexus has brought to our lives. Nothing is more important to me then family, and Nexus gave me my family back.

I was stumbling around the barren wasteland of treatment centers desperate enough to buy the guise of empathetic adversaries stating they care for you promising water and nourishment only to be a mirage in the futile landscape (south Florida). So I showed up on a rainy day in Los Angeles and was greeted by great staff, met my therapist Melissa (amazing person and professional) and started group therapy. Delena, a group therapist at Nexus, is a god send and at this point I believe she might literally be an Earth Angel that brings light to all of the darkness that we think we believe when we get sober. I started to have hope for my future and felt like the impossible was now possible. Somewhere in the mix I met Kurt (another group therapist) I don’t know what exactly he does or how he does it... but he changed my life because I was always seeking answers to questions unattainable or that others never had the capacity to answer... but the best way to talk about Kurt is to not talk about Kurt and let people experience spirituality on THEIR terms! All the staff is wonderful shout out to UA Nick. Big Jeff will help you with all of your outside stuff legal, work ect but also knows what he is talking about in recovery and in spirituality. Halim Daniel is the go to guy for pretty much anything. He holds his staff just as accountable as the clients. Lastly, I’d recommend this place for anyone serious about recovery. The best testimony comes from clients and past members and what stands out to me is that a lot of past members are still sober or clean. We are all pretty close too. If you are fed up with the treatment industry I understand how you Feel. There is real solution and hope here and more than that to me is the amount of love ❤️

When my 19 year old son completed residential treatment I began the search for an outpatient program that could supplement his sober living. From the very first phone call to Nexus I knew we had found the right place. The initial contact was loving, warm, and encouraging which was exactly what I needed in those early days of his sobriety. Over the course of his seven months at Nexus those same traits from that first phone call grew and worked magic on my son. I can’t know what happened daily or even weekly at Nexus, but I know the changes I saw in my son. The young man he was destined to be was awakened and nurtured by Nexus. They kept me informed along the way and I was able to participate in a wonderful family program weekend. Today my son is in college and living a productive life. We both credit Nexus for providing him the space, support, insight and love he needed to move into this next chapter. I am forever grateful to the staff at Nexus.

Gloria Detox helped me in my journey of over 10 years of addiction. All the staff and counselors were extremely professional and took pride in there jobs. Many are recovering addicts with years of sobriety themselves and can relate to you in a way that most others can’t. ☆This is a 2 year update to my comment☆ Well, I've been able to maintain abstinence from opioids still! Times have been hard: Family stress, big changes and situations that have triggered me beyond belief. Yet, I still have refused to go back to my old ways of using opiates to turn off my feelings and emotions. Truly, the treatment I received through the Waismann Method and DOMUS center continue to keep me on a path of an opiate free life. The ups and downs of life are still a struggle, as they are for everyone. But with continued therapy and support, I've managed to combat the intrusive thoughts that rise up when things look and feel impossible. I'll say it before and I'll say it again: I believe I wouldn't be here to write this review, or live this gift we call life had I not had the treatment I received. Thanks again to everyone who makes this program happen. And if you or a loved one are ready, truly ready to be free of your opioid addiction, this is it. Worth every penny and then some. *This is a 1 year edit to my comment* **Since leaving, life has not been easy. Stress, trauma and mental health have all been a major part of this recovery time. Yet, here I am, no desire to use opiates as my "off button" for stress. When intrusive thoughts of using or past use arise, Im able to shift from a longing to numb myself to a reminder of how far I've come. I want to take this time to thank the staff at Domus and those who took such good care of me at the hospital. It wasn't a walk in the park, and certainly wasn't enjoyable to go through such a procedure, but I was well taken care of and made to feel as comfortable as possible. So if you're reading this, take it from someone who thought addiction WAS the only life I could know: You can do this. Sticking with aftercare has been crucial, I have some amazing practitioners but aftercare looks different for everyone. I did experience some PAWS symptoms (to be expected) about a few months after coming home. Which is why I so highly recommend some form of therapy as your transformation is slowly taking place. I felt like a million bucks when I got home, but that cloud 9 feeling slowly left as my brain continued to go through the process of degrading old neuro pathways and using new coping skills to deal with life. Rest. It's so important in my opinion to be able to rest afterwards. I felt like I wanted to run a marathon, only to realize 20 paces in that my body needs rest. Security. Again, just my opinion, but to go to Domus and then return to a life where you're surrounded by risky situations is foolish. I don't mean living in a cave, but prepare before you go. Say goodbye to the people you won't want to see. Tell them what you're doing, maybe they'll see you going for it and want to make changes for themselves. Just don't go back to tell them how clean you are, it's not worth it. It hurts to see others where we were, and can be triggering. So til next year, I wish the best to anyone considering the freedom that can come from this treatment.**

i've done multiple php/iop programs before cast. i just finished yesterday after about 4 months of first php and then iop levels of care. when i arrived i had been 10 years sober and in 1-1 therapy, been on meds, done somatic work, and did two rounds of TMS. i still was not feeling right, least of all confident in my direction and sense of self. through very simple (but not always easy!) guidance by my individual therapist Samson, the best therapist i've ever had, i was able to change things in my life i have been resistant towards forever. group therapy sessions are facilitated with a deft, guiding hand by a *licensed therapist* (many other programs in los angeles employ facilitators that are only associates or not even at least that at times). individual therapists may have differing approaches based on each client, but from talking to the members of my cohort, each 1-1 therapist at cast is as good as they come. from front desk to admin to therapists/facilitators, the level of professionalism and care is a rarity for a mental health facility, especially one that accepts insurance (a sign that they are in this to help people). if you are looking for the best care in la, i cannot recommend cast enough. my life is night and day from when i started, to when i ended just yesterday.

cast changed my life. shout out to the whole team, but especially jackie, my individual therapist. i had done a php program previously that had nowhere near the high standard of care that this facility maintains. i have been sober for the first time in my life since starting there, and i thank them for giving me a strong foundation to build my life off of. most rehabs suck, but if you’re considering signing up for a program somewhere, this is the right place to start. if i can do it, you can do it.

Loved CAST! Matthew is so sweet and I had Jackie as a therapist she’s amazing - all of the staff are great. Samson is also awesome - who runs the facility. I learned a lot and it helped me get sober and provided me with amazing friends and a sober community that I never had before.

My name is Mark and I live in Alaska. A long time ago (about 20 years) I went to treatment there, and being non Jewish, I was a tad afraid of what was to come. Rabbi Mark and Hariette (sp?) were still there, they are beautiful people. A beautiful lady named Aileen (sp?) found me online and hooked me up with Beit T Shuva. Thank God for her! I can say now that the people there helped me SO much, I have great love and respect for this place. If your thinking you need help, this place is the bomb!

This place is like a paradise away from home. Very respectful and caring staff in the recreational facilities. Bernardo chief of security gave me one of the most insightful tours. Alma at the aquatics center educated me on the proper steps on getting certified lifeguard, cpr and AED in the state of California. Very hospital and patient. This veterans hospital has to be either 1st place or in close competition with other locations.

My time at Haven House was truly transformative. The luxurious facilities, especially the beautiful swimming pool, provided a serene environment for healing. The highlight of my experience was the personalized counseling sessions. These were instrumental in my recovery journey. I must admit that I was a bit skeptical at first about going to a treatment living facility. This was due to my own perceptions and stigma on being open with total strangers on my addiction. I didn't realize that a communal atmosphere is just what I needed to open up and take care of well being. I stayed for 6 months at the Haven House in Long Beach. They had so many resources for me getting my life back on the right track. I found a setting of other guys who had been through so much and were there to listen and to encourage my progress. I honestly felt like staying resort for rehabilitating everything about myself. We did yoga to help the mind and body. We had movie nights to laugh and think and engage in life conversations. The best part was the proximity to the beach. We had a lot of outings and picnics along the Long Beach Shore. I very much recommend this establishment if you wish to progress through addiction and leave all the more better for society.
