The most recent reviews are from years ago so I'd like to talk about the changes that have happened over the years compared to the past reviews.
I've been going here for the last four years now. I've had to change therapists once (with enough warning) and I've had to change case managers twice (also with given warnings) every issue I've ever had had been resolved quickly and efficiently (I am so sorry for getting upset about my meds that one time, omg I still feel guilty)
I've felt very safe with my therapists and they've been a great help in my mental journey

I love this place depends who you get when it comes to counceling some are better than others there. But I have a lady that has helped me in more ways than one and went beyond her duties there and helps my kids out and me when I need the help and shes so informative and helpful and knows all the resources auburn has to offer I wish more ppl cared about their jobs like sandy does ! Shes the best!

*PLEASE READ!!* I struggled with addiction and mental health for the last 10 years. In and out of rehab, hospitals, a never ending struggle. The coping center is THE FIRST place that actually made a difference. The doctor, the therapists, the nurses, everyone- were BEYOND supportive and knowledgeable of their jobs.
Frankly, I’m shocked at some of the low reviews on here…if anything- I’d say it CLEARLY comes from disgruntled patients who weren’t ready to change or take genuine responsibility for themselves. Let’s not forget, the patients here have to be willing to change, if they aren’t willing, then no place will help them. Excuses won’t allow you to heal properly. How do I know this? Because I did it for the last decade of my life. Complaining about them “not releasing you”- is their way to love and protect you if you can’t do it yourself yet. Personally, I think is tragic people want to discredit this place- because I know it can help so many people like me.
This is an individual journey, and a REAL CHANCE to learn how to love & put yourself first. This place gives you that opportunity!!! I’d give more than 5 stars if I could. If you need help, or someone you love needs help- save yourself time and send them here! It was a blessing, and I can’t brag enough! Thank you to everyone at the coping center for changing my life, and finally giving me the chance to live life the way I deserve to, and the chance to love my family the way they deserve to be loved!!!

Finally a safe place with doctors, nurses, therapists and social workers who truly care! I owe so much to the Coping Center for saving my life and for helping me manage my chronic suicidal ideation. I'm finally on the right meds and seeking therapy with the right people, and for once, I'm determined to get my life back from BPD. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Dr. Ghori has no business being in healthcare as she has no interest in treating people. My daughter has been a patient at Bowen for four years and not only has her mental health not improved, but it's gotten worse and Dr. Ghori has definitely contributed to that.
She asks questions solely for the purpose of hearing her own predetermined answers and if you express your own feelings that aren't what she wants to hear, she cuts you off, and talks over you. This is appalling behavior for a mental health professional. She will say out loud that she does not believe medication is the answer to promoting positive mental health, then turn around and prescribe a 14-year-old child Lexapro, Wellbutrin, and BuSpar to take simultaneously, more or less putting the child into a disassociated, tripped out state of mind. When she finally decided her patient was worth listening to, and realized this was making matters worse, instead of a slow taper or gentle adjustment, she ripped these meds away and replaced them with Zoloft. I'm no medical professional, but even I know that a patient has more success and fewer concerns using a taper method when stopping mind altering substances. For someone who claims meds are not the answer, I have not once heard her suggest other tools such as diet or exercise to help cope with the stressors of life.
Dr. Ghori, as a mental health professional, should know how important routine is to someone with mental health struggles but this is also not a concern to her. She is perfectly comfortable only keeping "office hours" during the school day, causing great disruption to her patient's routines. Further, it is beneath her to actually come into the office and her appointments consist only of five minute video chats. One would think that would make keeping the appointment easier, since there is no commute time and the appointments are so brief, but that is not the case. Patients are kept waiting, at times over an hour, for their five minutes with her neglectful care.
At my daughter's final appointment with this woman who should never be allowed to treat patients, I was asked if I had questions regarding my daughter's care and after four years of things just getting worse, I finally spoke up and suggested that With healthcare deductibles being as high as they are, at some point I'm going to need to see some positive changes, instead of this continued decline, because I am not a rich woman and I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars trying to help my child, when only the opposite has happened. Instead of receiving that statement with empathy and understanding, Dr. Ghori said that my daughter now needed to be institutionalized because she was out of ideas, and kept pushing this suggestion to the point where it was clear that if I did not follow through with this, and the less than one percent chance that something did happen to my daughter actually happened, there would be legal consequences for myself, So what choice did I have? My kid is now institutionalized for 3 to 7 days for evaluation. Please understand this is after no incidents, absolutely zero action at all by my daughter to harm herself or others or anything of that nature. This is because I had the audacity to contradict Dr. Ghori And call her out on her failure as a doctor.
It's also worth mentioning that despite my insurance being in the Parkview network, the doctor repeatedly attempted to push us towards Maple Heights, a mental health facility that is outside of our network. It was very curious to me that she would do this and I chose to sit there nearly another hour after our appointment with the doctor ended, having the techs present for the appt research which healthcare facilities our insurance would accept, and choosing any but the one that doctor suggested, not out of spite, but because I don't want this woman anywhere near my child again. It did cause wonder though, that perhaps she has some kind of affiliation or referral payment system set up with Maple Heights, and that's why she was pushing so hard for us to go there.

I went to serenity haven about 3 & 1/2 years ago and to this day I still have them to thank for me being where I am in life. They gave me all the tools I needed to do good & I use them on a daily basis. The staff is amazing. At first I hated it but now when I walk into the doors it just feels like im coming back home. My stay at serenity haven saved my life. And has saved the lives of many women I know. Been sober since January 1st 2023. I was a chronic meth user for 11 years 9 years of that I was an i.v. user. I have been a patient at Bowen for almost 4 years. In those four years I have been seeing Michelle Para and Shannon Walter-Harvey. Both are true assets to the company. From the receptionist, to the medical assistants/nurses to the providers I have always received compassionate care. I’ll admit it hasn’t been perfect, some wait times go over but they are always there.
I have never felt judged or let down while going to Bowen. They have helped me during some of my most unlovable times and saw me through my sobriety and for that I thank you! Mental health is a difficult beast to deal with and takes time and I feel people don’t always realize that.
If you are looking for quality and compassion this is an excellent resource. Thank you for all you do!

Everybody's generally friendly! Sometimes the staff have off days but for the most part they really go above and beyond! Kind of wish you'd get a greeting when you walk in the door or even a wait here sign would be nice. Regardless they've really helped me!

After going through one of the scariest experiences of my entire life, and waiting in what felt like a limbo-esque ER, I cannot even begin to explain how grateful I am for Coping Center. The staff immediately were warm and welcoming, ready to help me work through what I was struggling with, even at my arrival time of 10:30pm. As someone who was nervous looking at other reviews and the lack of information about the schedule on the website, hopefully I can clear up some concerns.
1. There is a daily schedule, lasting from roughly 7/9am to 8pm. It is often subject to change, and you are encouraged to attend group sessions, but not required. (The first day I slept mostly, but I'm glad I started to attend them on my 2nd day because it helped more than I thought it would)
2. You can call anyone from 6am to 10pm, and can even set it up so that certain people can call YOU. There is also visitation from 4 to 5 EVERY DAY, but it can only be one person who is 18 or older.
3. Yes, your phone will be taken away. They will let you write down numbers before they do. Honestly, aside from the logistical concerns of patients having phones, it was kind of nice to totally detach from the stressors of the online world and social media for a few days.
4. The accommodations are great, especially for a hospital, but be prepared to sleep a bit uncomfortable. Bring some clothes going in, or try and get people to drop them off shortly after arrival. You'll have to wear scrubs at first, but 24 hours in you can change into streetwear. Make sure none of it has strings, or they will need to cut it off.
5. The food is better than what I was expecting, but don't be looking for a gourmet experience. Order as much food as you can every meal, as you never know when you might be craving a snack.
6. All of the staff were absolutely incredible, but huge shoutouts to Sam, Chey, Alyssia (?), and Dr. Mercado for being extremely personable and ready to help anyone through whatever they were working through.
7. Go in hoping not for a cure or immediate treatment, but ready to look inward and take the time to learn what you need. I know that for people struggling with mental illness, such as myself, it can sometimes be hard to see that you need help, or be willing to accept it. I could have shut everything out and hunkered down, but then I wouldn't have had change and gotten the chance to see my cat again so soon!
8. Read, read, read! Yes, I am a former book lover who has gotten back into it, but reading truly saved me during my time here. Yes the groups were great, the people were kind, and the TV was enticing, but while you read, you make notes of what is happening in the literature and often get to think about your OWN story.
Though I am glad to be home, I will in the weirdest way miss the comforting and routine structure of the Coping Center. I hope to be able to give back some day!

I would be so much worse off but the ACT TEAM has been bringing me meds every other day to prevent another suicide attempt and with their help I have hope of not being homeless and although I am extremely depressed because of my situation, the meds are really helping my schizophrenic symptoms. I have no regrets 😁 . I am free and I am unbelievably Happy. I’ve been to a couple different clinics, CMS is by far the cleanest, fastest, and overall one of the best clinics. Tiffany is always a pleasure to deal with. She’s knowledgeable, respectful and goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smooth. The same can be said for Tanya and the nurses. Tanya has gone out her way to help me on multiple occasions and is always there to give an encouraging word. The Doctor is friendly and thorough, so are the counselors. If you are looking for MAT treatment I would recommend checking this place out. One negative aspect is the billing process if you are paying out of pocket keep your receipts and stay on top of your payments.

Wonderful staff. They really want to see you get better. Only downfall is that there are some patients that can be unruly or are just there to detox and not actually heal themselves. You get out what you put in. I’ve done therapy for many years and this facility is great. I’ve only seen my one provider, but I would believe that every other provider also offers exceptional care. Veterans need to be treated better in this country and some of the workers here are rude and seem annoyed with their job. New comments. I truly feel bad for the veterans who have to deal with this place. I took my elderly father here and the employee was so rude to us. I think she was more concerned about wanting to go home and not doing her job. Constant eye rolls with questions and an attitude the entire time. She was clearly annoyed with her job, which seems like an easy one to me, honestly. I called and left a voicemail message with the patient advocate to relay my concerns on her behavior and also left my phone number with someone that day. No calls back, no concerns on how this lady treated a veteran. This place does not care how people are treated and I feel bad for those that have to deal with this place. Absolutely disgusting.

I used to love this clinic and I always thought the dr I had truly cared about me as a patient and person then it all changed and she moved away and now I feel like the doctor I have doesn't care at all ...I am in severe pain all the time and even have had to go to the ER because the pain i feel is unbearable....I get told by my current doctor try old fashioned remedies or yoga or see mental health to help with pain lol ....I'm so tired of them treating me like I'm some kind of junky when I'm not and never have been !!! I just need help with my pain and get ignored or blown off and it is so inhumane. This doctor I have and this clinic makes me feel like they would rather let me suffer than to help me. Like they just don't care at all !!! I feel like giving up all together 😞😭 Just exhausted from feeling like I have no voice in my own treatment plans like it has to be their way or no way at all 😔

My visit to the ENT here was wonderful. I met Dr. Zacharek, who was professional, kind, and humorous. He patiently performed endoscopic examinations of my nose, ears, and mouth—definitely one of the best doctors I’ve ever encountered. The staff here were also incredibly friendly. The nurse at the front desk helped schedule my follow-up appointment and even proactively booked a consultation with an allergist doctor for me, so I didn’t have to call and arrange it myself.
Later, when I wasn’t sure where to go for my blood test, a doctor passing by noticed and personally walked me to the lab. The nurse who drew my blood was also very gentle and considerate—he even switched to the smallest needle without me asking. Ahh, it was such a great medical experience, filled with so many sweet and lovely people!

For all the bad publicity you see in the news, you wouldn't be able to tell by visiting this location. I've been using them for 6.5 years. Urgent care is faster than local walk-in clinics OR the hospital, and the staff has always been caring and attentive. The VA is a great benefit for veterans.

Social workers are great, therapists are great, nurse practitioners are great, this review is more for HEGIRA in general but their psych doctors are all disrespectful.will talk down to you, judge you from the very beginning, at least that's my experience with each new doctor I see and location I go to. They see I am prescribed Suboxone (have been for 5 plus years) and try to take me off of my psych meds I've been on for five years or longer.yes, one is a controlled substance but ive heard so many reasons why they won't or can't continue me on my medicine that I know works because I've been told multiple times completely different stories.it took years to find the right cocktail that works for me.only by the prescribing doctors do I ever have anything to complain about.i don't usually leave reviews for anything unless it's something I love or it's a genuine problem.i know plenty of people who are prescribed incredibly unnecessary amounts of drugs, or people with the same or similar combination I am on and don't have the problem i am having. opioid crisis I get it but not everyone taking them is abusing them.is the only way I'm going to get the same meds I've always been on by going to a shrink where I have to pay? I've seen plenty of doctors who weren't psych doctors but would still give me my psych meds with my Suboxone, yes things are different now more strict, but over the last two and a half years of trying to find a shrink to get my stuff from the right doctor , I haven't had a psych prescribe my psych meds to me In almost three years. My PCP and my Suboxone doctor help me by writing them as long as I show them I am trying to get in somewhere. So if it's perfectly fine for the doctors who really shouldn't be giving benzos scripts to me (psych meds were originally started from actual psychiatrist in the beginning) why in the EFF will absolutely no one help me?!?

I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am for the care I received at the veteran clinic yesterday. 05/27/25 I had accidentally left my effexor in another city and hadn’t taken it in three days (please don’t EVER do this!), I was a complete wreck, both physically and emotionally. I rushed to the clinic in a bad state, and even though they were clearly understaffed, everyone treated me with such compassion and urgency.
I especially want to thank the pharmacy tech working at the desk by the windows. I was crying, struggling, and deep in withdrawal symptoms, but she never once made me feel judged or invalidated. she was kind, patient, and truly went above and beyond to help me get what I needed. her empathy meant everything to me in that moment.
I also want to shout out the woman who helped with registration. she was calm, efficient, and kind, which really helped ease some of my anxiety.
I left that clinic feeling heard, cared for, and supported. thank you so much to the team for taking care of us!!!!

They won’t call you on your appointment day, if they do, trills once and no voicemail, you will be ignored. You may have done your research but you are PART OF THEIR RESEARCH, you’re going to be put on what’s on their trial list at the time
