I volunteer once a month for a fun night and I truly am blessed beyond measure!! (Probably more than I can give). I go with the intention to give and to encourage and I leave more encouraged!! It’s an anointed place and I pray the Lord continues to move and transform through this ministry!

If you're ready for change, this is the place for you. Even though I was court ordered I quickly realized this place has been helpful. In my case I'm learning more than just helpful tips to avoid the charge that brought me here. I wish I would've known about this place years ago. For me C.P.R. has been organized with my paperwork. They have been friendly, and personal, and a lot of the people I've met here I've enjoyed the friendship. I've seen people come here that clearly aren't ready to change, and they don't. They have bad attitudes the whole time, and they're rude to staff. It's sad, but you can't change anyone, you can provide them helpful tools though. The best part of this place? It's open to the public. If I'm still in the area I plan on continuing coming to the classes once my ordered classes are done.

Now that I look back. I wish I was still there. I loved Friday night chapel. When Josh preached man I could feel the holy spirit. I miss the staff alot. I just had anxiety so bad. I spent 3 months at ICFR South Bend. It was the 4th facility I had been at since August 2025. I can honestly say this place was a great experience for me. I came to know the staff and truly believed they had my best interest at heart. Sometimes there were communication issues but for the most part it was a nurturing, supportive environment. There were a few staff members who made my stay special. Facilitators Stephanie, Dr. Steph and Heather as well as Client Care Coordinator Constance were extremely helpful. They were a great resource and a wealth of information. I don't think my experience would have been as positive without them.
I would highly recommend ICFR South Bend for recovery facility.

I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to this rehab center and its staff. No, it’s not a luxury retreat or a spa-like setting—but neither is prison, or worse, the morgue. This place is about recovery, not comfort, and I believe they are doing exactly what they’re meant to do: helping people get their lives back.
The staff was kind, dedicated, and truly cared. My son's father recently completed treatment here, and while he shared that it was incredibly tough—physically, emotionally, and mentally—he also said it was nothing compared to the pain of being out on the streets, lost in his addiction. Recovery isn’t supposed to be easy. If it were, addiction wouldn’t be so hard to beat.
I’ve seen some reviews criticizing the center for not giving constant updates to family members. I get it—when someone we love is in pain, we want answers, we want involvement, we want to help. But part of the healing process means letting go of that need to control. We didn't have control when our loved ones were in active addiction, and recovery is no different. The program is designed to build independence, accountability, and internal strength. Constant calls, questions, and attempts to interfere, even with good intentions, can undermine that.
Trust the process. Let the professionals do their job. It’s not always comfortable—but neither is addiction. Discomfort is part of growth, and growth is what this place is all about.
If you're looking for somewhere that offers real recovery—not coddling, but healing—this is it. Let them work, and give your loved one the space to fight for their own life.

Sacred Heart started me on my recovery journey giving me the tools I needed to get sober and stay sober. I hit my 90 days sober in about 2 weeks, and I couldn’t be more happy or proud. I’m so, so, so grateful for what Sacred Heart did for me. Shout out to staff Leslie, Trish, Jessica, Tom, Johnny, Margaret, Joe and Tom#2, Elizabeth, nurses Jane and Jim.. the therapists are amazing (all of them except Maria, she’s awful) the peer recovery coaches are amazing, love the nursing staff, y’all took good care of us. I love you all and maybe I’ll come back one day to help my fellow addicts. Anyone thinking of getting sober and trying to find a good rehab, this is the one, you won’t regret it!!

I recently got discharged from a 4-day stay here. From the minute I was admitted I was told what was going on and questions were most certainly welcomed. I got a tour of the unit and my bedroom and was introduced to my roommate right away. I have a gluten and lactose intolerance, and the staff sat down and asked what I would like to eat and accommodated my needs. The food is great and there's plenty of options. Anytime you need something you can walk over to the nurse's station and they'll be able to help you. My nurses and the techs and the doctor were exceptional! I especially want to thank Katey, the group organizer. She and I painted and sat and talked and she said she really wanted to be a part of my healing journey and found material for our groups to help me out. I enjoyed the relaxed schedule where groups are in the morning and early afternoon and if they don't fit your needs you don't have to attend. I was able to take naps when I was tired or feeling unwell, and one night they let me sleep on the couch because I felt more comfortable doing so. I was also able to take showers at my request and recieve fresh scrubs, socks, and undergarments daily. You can also take in a phone call list and call your friends and family any time you'd like. I can't express how good this place is, and how amazing it is that I got in when they only have 7 beds at the moment. I had a client of my nonprofit, LITE, who needed access to a safe place overnight until we could find him a residential recovery program. He'd completed a detox program but we hadn't secured a "bed" for him at this next stop. Jill was welcoming and helpful and we were able to provide our client a comforting, safe space. About 5years ago I went here and didn't have the greatest experience..but today I had to visit the Albion office for an appointment for my daughter. I signed up for counseling/therapy and i informed them who my insurance provider was i was gonna use while signing the paperwork. They took me to a counselor and then later sent me a huge bill and told me the counselor they guided me to doesnt take my insurance and that i already signed paperwork saying i would pay it no matter what. Be very careful. They arent coordinated and are in it for the money, not to help you. I was also told by the billing department that the manager, Jeremy, agreed to drop my bill due to the error being on their side. When they still didnt, i called Jeremy directly and Jeremy said hes unable to even do so and the billing department said "I didnt say that"
Dont do this to yourself. Stay away. This will make your mental health issues worse.

I wouldn't even give them one star. Awful awful place to get counseling, at least for children. My step daughters mother takes her here against better judgment from her dad. This counselor has made her believe she has full control over her life, and if it's not her way, then it's wrong. This counselor has listened to the mother bash her dad and paint this awful Pic of her dad while she is actually the one manipulating her daughter. She and the counselor have phone calls, yet the counselor won't call dad back to talk. He has written that the father should not have any contact with the daughter because of emotional and verbal abuse. Her dad is not abusive in any way towards her or our 3 children, but since he only talks to mom, he hears and believes whatever garbage comes out of her mouth. She coaches her daughter on what to say every time before she takes her so that she can use it against dad. (Daughter has said that, and she is 9)
This counselor is very one-sided, and he is helping a mom take away a really good dad from his daughter when he actually has no idea who the real problem is.

So I just want to start off by stating that this facility changed my life drastically and saved my butt! Quite literally. I came to FCRC a scared, shaking, & shy woman. I was a kid on the inside.
Mr. Jeff & Savannah saved me from myself AT LEAST 3 times from trying to walk out on my recovery because of issues on the outside (life continues even though we go to treatment, ya know). When I tell you I have never met a team of such caring loving & HONEST staff? I hadn’t until I walked into this facility. I graduated yesterday, with 44 days today under my belt. I had hopped on a plane from Houston TX not knowing anything but my Higher Power did. I am so beyond grateful to First City and their peeps. All the way from the Detox experience to my PHP part of my program, everyone was helpful and so kind. And that level of care? Hard to find. Aye, shout out to Bobby in PHP & IOP, that’s my boy!!!
