Boca Recovery was my saving grace. I was given the ultimatum that if couldn’t get clean from alcohol and marijuana, then I would be removed from my children’s lives and have no chance of getting custody back. As an addict I just didn’t see me able to do this alone. I Google searched top rehabs in Oklahoma, and came across Boca Recovery. When I spoke to a recruiter they informed me that the facility was not in Oklahoma, but he told me not to panic. If I was ready, then all I had to worry about was making sure I was going to board on my scheduled flight. It seemed too good to be true, but sure enough they delivered and made sure I made it there safely. As soon as I stepped foot into the facility the staff treated me with the best care. Not only that, but the facility was very well maintained. You’re seen by a nurse the first day, and they set you up with everything you’ll need for the detox process. All therapist and case managers work together to build the best treatment plan that suits the patient/client. Not to mention the food they provide is amazing! Thanks to Boca recovery I have passed every UA since I’ve been out, and am able to be involved in my children’s lives again. Before arriving to Boca I didn’t see any of this being possible. Highly recommend to anyone struggling with addiction!

BOCA saved my life. It offered me safety, stability, and daily expectations that I needed desperately. From the first day of entering the program the techs were welcoming, understanding, and supportive which eased my anxiety and allowed me to relax. If you're ready for change, this is the place for you. Even though I was court ordered I quickly realized this place has been helpful. In my case I'm learning more than just helpful tips to avoid the charge that brought me here. I wish I would've known about this place years ago. For me C.P.R. has been organized with my paperwork. They have been friendly, and personal, and a lot of the people I've met here I've enjoyed the friendship. I've seen people come here that clearly aren't ready to change, and they don't. They have bad attitudes the whole time, and they're rude to staff. It's sad, but you can't change anyone, you can provide them helpful tools though. The best part of this place? It's open to the public. If I'm still in the area I plan on continuing coming to the classes once my ordered classes are done.

As of this writing I have a years experience with this location and program so will try and clarify things a bit. An important thing to understand is that each house is independent and ran by the current residents under guidelines set forth by its area chapter which in turn is governed by the state chapter then national program. Each house is run democratically by its residents with a persons power being in their vote. I feel most of the negative reviews I've heard are from those who relapsed or who routinely or egregiously violated rules and were kicked out. The only violations that allow for immediate expulsion are relapse, violence, or those of a potentially criminal nature. This program is not a good fit for everyone as it is more of a peer supported independent living type situation. It is not as rigidly governed as many halfway houses and is better suited for those comfortable in recovery and capable of living independently but still desiring some structure and guidance. As for Emyla specifically I would say it is a great location. It is near downtown with Leeper Park and the river nearly next door. The residents tend to be easy going and get along well. The house is big with 3 full baths, 3 kitchens, and 2 living rooms. It is worth looking into the place to see if it is for you but remember it is not for everyone.

Justin Hutchenson has helped me decompress alot of stress in my life dealing with multiple deaths in my family and my own health tragedy. The therapist my daughter saw at the Portage location was wonderful. Billing was always an issue - they would say we owed money, so we would pay it, then they could contact us and process a refund because we "overpaid". Otherwise, we were very pleased. However I have been trying to reach them for a week now. Website says they are available 24/7 - however I have called EVERY number on their website repeatedly, as well as the number the "owner" provided in these comments, and there is never an answer or option to leave a message. I also submitted an appointment request form through their website and have not received a response. Not sure what is going on here. UPDATE: apparently this is a cell phone issue - NOT pine rest. Despite using my phone daily and having no issues making calls, for whatever reason, I had to put my cell phone on then off airplane mode and suddenly I was able to make calls to them. Updated my review to correct for this.

Messing with so many clients meds and lying to clients faces and so so much more! My girlfriend and I battle opiate addiction and have went to the victory clinic in south bend (where we're from)to try getting off the opiates but left there more frustrated and discouraged than before. Now we go to Swanson and it's amazing. We are understood, heard, and not judged. People there believe in us and are willing to do anything to see us succeed

I went to the swanson center afraid I was going to get a doctor who wasn't going to listen to me, just prescribe pills, and send me on my way. BUT no, that is not what I got. I got a nice lady named Gloria, who , like me, is a dog lover and encouraged me to bring my dog in next appointment. I am excited to go back with my dog, not only because I can bring my dog with me, but because I liked her energy and responsive care to my woes and sorrows. Made me feel comfortable and at ease.

I used to be an inpatient at Borgess 1 North, and the unit was alright. If you complied with medications, group, and individual therapy, things did seem to get a lot easier. In order for inpatient care to really make a strong impact, I feel like the person being treated needs to want to better themselves. Other than that, the adolescent unit really made a positive change in my life.

I would be so much worse off but the ACT TEAM has been bringing me meds every other day to prevent another suicide attempt and with their help I have hope of not being homeless and although I am extremely depressed because of my situation, the meds are really helping my schizophrenic symptoms. I'm still many layers beneath depression due to the reality I woke up to but the Act adventures and getting out with people makes me feel human again.and I am looking forward to trying clubhouse

This was our first time experience in this hospital. We were treated very nice by all the staff. They were very helpful. The rooms and hospital is very clean... ER doctors saved my husband's life... very, very thankful for all of them. Heather who works in the Pharmacy at Hines has been absolutely incredible! I had 2 prescriptions scheduled to be delivered, I only received one. Per my doctor, I should call the pharmacy to find out what happened. I am SO thankful to Heather for her diligence to keep me updated every single day (sometimes multiple times a day. And even if the news wasn't great, she communicated with me every step of the way) none of the lost prescription was Hines' fault, responsibility falls solely on the USPS. Thank you Heather 🖤

I was so impressed with Skywood in so many ways. My husband went through Skywood and not only has it given him his life back, but they were so supportive all along the way and even after discharge.
Although we had some challenges with our insurance, Skywood was so helpful in walking us through the ups and downs with our insurance company and making sure my husband got the care he needed. Thanks Skywood!

Such a transformative experience! Naturally, the reviews you read for addiction treatment centers are going to skew negative but don't let that deter you if you believe you need help. Not only did I have an amazing experience with staff, I've built a strong foundation of community among my peers who were also seeking treatment. While encouraged by their use of an evidenced-based model, the incorporation of the 12-steps had me skeptical at first but now I'm fully committed. If you feel the 12 steps aren't for you, they also provide information about alternatives such as SMART Recovery and Recovery Dharma. My one complaint would be that I had chosen to participate in the in-person IOP during intake, but was somehow placed into the virtual IOP. Once it was recognized it was a quick fix and it didn't impact my start date or anything like that.
