For all the bad publicity you see in the news, you wouldn't be able to tell by visiting this location. I've been using them for 6.5 years. Urgent care is faster than local walk-in clinics OR the hospital, and the staff has always been caring and attentive. The VA is a great benefit for veterans.

get any therapist here just NOT Destiny. she is EXTREMELY unprofessional and will try to gaslight you when confronted. if you have issues she personally disagrees with, she will openly scoff at you then lie to the other staff when you try to stand up for yourself and they will believe her because it's a crazy person's word against a "professional". she is a joke of a therapist and it is a true shame someone with her level of rudeness works with people like us. I really really can't wait for ai to replace horrible therapists like her so we can truly get the unbiased help we deserve.

Eventually our first meet up was over the phone and we ended up talking for over an hour and just clicked. We didn't meet in person until a couple months later, but I LOVE talking with her. Huge stepping stone for my life. I’ve been to a lot of places in my history of addiction/recovery and this was the one place I actually felt like I was equal. The staff go above and beyond for legit anything you need or struggle with. I never once felt alone. Most places and people in recovery are there for a paycheck, this place? The absolute opposite. Dawg this was one of the scariest yet BEST decisions I made for my recovery journey as well as myself. The love and care is endless.

Before Selah, I had several experiences at trauma centers that made me questioned if I ever wanted to get help or if my recovery was worth it.
I was admitted to Selah in Summer 2023 and 2024. I learned to advocated for myself and others. Shout out to nurse Mary Adkins and Kenzie, therapists Emily and Marice! Without them I would of left Selah. I was panicking, didn't feel heard and my dietian left for a different practice. There was so many changes that happened when I was there in 2024. But overall for me, what I gained from both experience was "trust" from the clinical staff at Selah. Trust the process. I have never had that before.

So glad to hear recently therapist Emily is taking over Christian Programming. One of the reasons I looked more into Selah was faith programming. On Sundays, I always looked forward to church in residential and php.

selah may not have been able to heal me from my eating disorder, not because their work and people aren’t great, but i believe because i have very deep internal issues i’ve struggled to work on myself for years. the program improved a lot from 2022 to 2024 (my two stays). obviously the program had its issues and iffy staff members, but overall the nurses and techs made me feel so loved. nancy, hailey, sydney, jess, christi, maggie, marcie, kati and chris the chaplain are amazing people. thank you guys for making me feel like a person.

Was wonderful. They have a great program. I took so much out of there in the 30 days I was there. I would like to give a shout out to my PCC
Sabrina she was amazing. Also all of the RA’S at Skywood are very friendly and helpful, but there is one especially that made my stay so much more comfortable her name is Mikala. She was amazing always had a smile on her face and said things to make me feel good. I think we all need that when we are in treatment because we are all going through some depression and anxiety. She knew how to make me feel good about myself. I would recommend Skywood to anyone needing help with any type of addiction. 😊

The lodge has an incredible staff of counselors and techs that absolutely cares about your recovery in a woodsy and relaxing environment that has access to a gym and 24 hour availability to people who can help with any issue that you might be having with recovery and access to food 24 hours a day ( so watch the belt line ) . Although the schedule is demanding they have a way of making seem that it is not over bearing ... They changed and saved my life and I know the staff can do the same for you if you want it ... Wonderful staff. They really want to see you get better. Only downfall is that there are some patients that can be unruly or are just there to detox and not actually heal themselves. I did my intake/transfer from my muskegon clinic this morning and they were so good to work with and made me comfortable which is something I was worried about. The staff was super nice and professional! I'm excited to see where this next chapter of my sober journey will take me with this facility now! You can tell that they truly care which is more than needed.. If you want to get your life back from addiction and are ready for the change then please stop in there and let them help you. I have no ins and am a cash client but if I can do it which I have for 18mos clean now then anybody can!

Victory is helping me get my life back 👍🏽. it's difficult in the beginning, but worth the uncomfortable 1st day to get treatment started 🤢🤮😵💫I almost walked out a few times on day 1 but held on, and I'm so glad I did. The councilers & Doctor really have empathy for what people are going thru, they don't judge, and help you every step of the way. If your struggling with addiction of any kind 🙏🏽 please give this place a try. They offer different treatments to fit each person's needs/goals. Just be honest and transparent with them about what your doing & going thru and they can help get your life back.Medicaid accepted as well as lots of other options. I would not send my worse enemy there there is one person Cecelia or something like is very racist with some of the girl she don't like you she find some way to kick you out they give false drug test the girl that don't do drug and they say they are and when the girl get another and it false they are not fair to anyone and when family members ask why all they say the answer is in the pudding So professional, they don't know what the heck they're doing on there and they put all these girls out in harm's way they want to give them a chance to help them, and when the girls are doing so good, they knock them down and put them out there to relapse. They don't care 1 bit about any of these girls. I know this is. When I first pulled up and seen the building I said oh God this can't be the place then they gave me tour inside and I said oh God but I made it my 28 days plus got my excellent in recovery certificate and my little Stone only had a couple problems with a few staff members the last week the doctor didn't want to see me and the recovery Coach Guy didn't want to see me for some reason but the head nurse I'll give her four stars
