If you’re seeking treatment know that insurance could be denied (after being “approved” over the phone) and you could be stuck with an insane bill. $5,999 per day for detox and $5,795 per day for residential treatment. That price for treatment is 3-4x the national average!! I would have never went here if I knew this was out of pocket treatment if insurance denied the claim after the fact. This could happen to you. Do the math, 30 days of treatment is well over $150,000 in medical debt.

PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR RECOVERY I can’t say enough good things about Todd Crandell and Racing for Recovery. Racing was the first real treatment center I attended. I had been to The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center before, but that is very different from treatment centers and not part of this review. I first came to Racing in 2023 and I am back in 2026 after learning hard lessons in other treatment centers. After leaving Racing the first time, I worked at two treatment centers and was also a client at another. Most of them say they are different, but in reality, they are very similar. In many treatment centers, groups are loosely run. People are often on their phones, talking during group, vaping, or leaving multiple times during a session. Staff are generally not well prepared and do not consistently enforce structure. Racing for Recovery is not like that. It is structured, consistent, and focused on accountability. Clients are expected to participate fully and take recovery seriously. That level of structure makes a real difference in outcomes. One of the biggest benefits of Racing is the consistency. Expectations do not constantly shift, and the environment does not allow for a lot of distractions or “checking out” mentally. It creates a setting where people can actually focus on recovery instead of just going through the motions. The staff are involved and truly care about client well-being. I cannot say the same for many other places. I am not saying there are not good people working in other treatment centers, but this has been my experience. Another benefit is the culture. At Racing, there is a strong sense of accountability and peer support. Clients are around others who are also serious about change, which helps create a more focused environment. In many other programs, there is a wider mix of motivation levels, which can make it harder for people who are trying to stay serious about recovery. A common issue I have seen across many programs is how discharge planning and employment timelines are handled. Clients are typically given about 90 days to find work and housing, which is understandable. The issue is that clients are usually in PHP level of care at first and only begin job searching once they move to IOP. I have also seen this first-hand while working in treatment centers. In level-of-care meetings, the case manager, group facilitators, and therapist may all agree that a client is ready to step up to IOP so they can begin working and preparing for discharge. However, I have also seen situations where higher-level staff review insurance and determine the client can be approved for two more weeks of PHP. In those cases, the decision is often tabled despite the clinical team’s recommendation. I have seen this happen many times. This delay can leave clients without enough time to secure work or housing, which increases the risk of relapse or having to restart treatment. I have seen both outcomes. I hope this helps someone who is serious about recovery. Racing is a structured and disciplined program, but it offers real opportunity, accountability, consistency, and support that I have not found elsewhere.

Honestly, half these reviews are exaggerating OR are describing how things use to be yearsss ago at the clinic.. There are cameras, they have been in place for; a year or so maybe-giveORtake; So outside issues have pretty much subsided. Now, the people sitting in their cars while people "hold their spots" IS something a few certain individuals do, but certainly BHG have been and will be addressing those issues as well from their camera footage.!? And last but not least THEIR ARE 4 NURSES NOW 👏 YAAAYY Usually 4windows open! Barely a wait in the last 2 months at least.

Overall, this place really does a lot right. The staff works hard, things run smoothly and you can tell there are people here who genuinely care about what they’re doing. Huge shoutout to Michelle (aka the real MVP / PD) for keeping things together. It does not go unnoticed. That said…the parking lot is currently giving “extreme sports obstacle course.” The potholes are not subtle. You don’t just park here, you navigate it. If you hear a loud thud on your way in, just know it’s not construction, it’s your suspension filing a complaint. Fix the potholes and this place would be pretty close to perfect. Until then, consider it part of the full experience — just drive in like you value your tires.

As someone who recently was discharged from the hospital, this is by far the best facility I’ve been to. I like the fact that you have to wear scrubs. So you don’t have to worry about having someone drop off clothes. The nurses and tech are super helpful and friendly. Their food is better than most hospital foods. They offer helpful groups which was one thing I liked. Because other facilities the groups are not reliable. These groups are almost DBT related. The doctors listen and won’t discharge you unless the doctor thinks you’re ready.

There are people that care here, both residents and staff. I'm 7 years sober today. Because of grace. In order to overcome many addictions you have to separate. Absolutely love this place. I actually called to get clarity on paper work and the receptionist heard in voice something was wrong. She talked a min and got me in for an appointment. And I seen Yolanda and she is fantastic. She listens she has such a kind heart but will tell me if I’m doing something I should. She builds me up and makes me pro Ise to stop putting myself down. She is absolutely amazing and the fact that they heard the hurt in my voice when I called and got me on schedule for the next day is amazing. My children also go to the same place and their therapist is amazing as well. He listens to them as individuals. So anybody needing someone this place worked wonders for me and my kids. My kids see Nick and he’s one in a million for my kids. They are love going.

A Place That Truly Saved My Life I don’t say this lightly when I say that Boca Recovery Center in Huntington, Indiana, saved my life. I struggled with addiction to opiates and fentanyl for approximately 30 years. During that time, I lost at least 80 friends to addiction. I have been to at least 30 treatment facilities throughout my life, and I can honestly say that none of them even came close to comparing to Boca. From the moment I made the call for help, I felt like someone genuinely cared. They were ready to help immediately, including arranging my flight and transportation to the airport. That kind of urgency and compassion meant more to me than I can put into words. The staff at this facility goes above and beyond to make you comfortable, safe, and cared for. They do things you wouldn't necessarily expect—from providing great food, snacks, and drinks to doing your laundry and making sure everything is clean and comfortable. I was honestly shocked when I found out they even did our laundry. And for those who smoke and may not be able to afford cigarettes, they even try to help with that. Most importantly, the people are what make Boca different. I came in needing help and left with people I consider friends for life. I would estimate that I made at least 30 new friends through what we affectionately called the Boca crew. I enjoyed my stay so much that I would honestly go back just to visit the staff. The nurses—Michelle, Tiffany, Tami, Beth, and Maddie—were incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring. They treated me with dignity and never made me feel judged. The techs—Grosiala, Leann, Bri, Lista, Nate, Malaia, Sarah, Michael, Mike, Jason, Darius, Crystal, Lilly, Joe, and Andrew—were friendly, relatable, and always there when we needed them. The addiction counselors, especially Candace and Dave, were absolutely amazing. Thank you both for the incredible groups and the information you shared. I didn't just listen—I took what you taught me to heart and truly internalized it. Taylor, the Client Care Coordinator, is absolutely amazing. She knows what she's talking about, and her compassion and dedication really stood out to me. Olive in housekeeping deserves recognition as well. She goes above and beyond, and the laundry was always returned clean and folded beautifully. And Bill and Jeff, the chefs—your cooking was incredible! Thank you for putting so much love into the food and making me feel at home. If I forgot to mention someone, I sincerely apologize. Please know that I appreciate every single member of the Boca team. Each person played a part in my recovery, and I will forever be grateful. Since coming home, my desire to use has been almost nonexistent—something I honestly wasn't sure was possible after 30 years of addiction. Boca didn't just give me treatment. They gave me hope, compassion, friendships, and another chance at life. To the entire Boca crew: Thank you for saving my life. Thank you for believing in me when I needed it most. In Most states when you go to recovery you're treated like a prisoner they lock you into a recovery center and you can't go anywhere do anything not at Boca. Boca Recovery Center is totally different they treat you with respect. The staff: At Boca the staff understand what you're going through,they've been there . Most of them are recovering themselves . They get it! To the staff at Huntington Indiana. You Know Who You Are. Ya' all are great! Even if you have a disability the staff of Boca and Huntington Indiana will make sure that you are comfortable and capable of meeting your goal. If I had to pick four words to sum up the staff in Huntington Indiana it would be kind, professional, respectful, and compassionate. In summary if you have the compassion to want to get clean and stay sober Boca Huntington Indiana is one of my top recommendations. As long as you have the desire to get clean. Boca is the place to be. The staff is awesome. That people get along very respectful if you want to get your life together or you got a loved one that needs help with addiction. Joe's awesome Dave is awesome. Candace is awesome. Never won their nurses. They're all awesome people, and I gotta take a shout out to Michelle. It's Sunday not gonna forget you either brother, I recommend this place to the fullest. I can go all day long out. The entire vibe is great and safe, the front desk staff are angels, and both my psychiatrist (Leah Sands) and therapist (Amber Gibson) have been very respectful, intelligent, and very good listeners. I can't wait to continue my healing journey. (9/9/26) I love Bowen Health. My main therapist Amber Gibson continues to help me heal and become the best person I can be. My other psychiatrists and therapists stop at nothing to see that I get the help- we all deserve to have in our time of need. The vibe continues to be great, safe, and the front desk staff continues to be the angels they are. Shortly after my first review I had to call the Bowen Health Crisis service line and was treated with compassion, patience, and love. The man on the phone sat with me for an hour and set up a plan- and a backup plan with me. I felt seen and supported. I have switched to the Genoa pharmacy located in the building and they went above and beyond to help me get my medication sorted out. I'd give them all 10/10 stars and a raise if I could.

First psychiatrist I seen was rude kind of just said I was doing drigs when I wasn't like my pee came back clean nothing in it tried saying I smoked marijuana I don't like marijuana I was addicted to fentanyl I wouldn't go smoke weed I would smoke fetty second off I'm giving a 4 star because the guy I see now is amazing and caring and actually talks to you and listens to you and helps people he's the best person I've ever seen it's sad that August will be his last month because he was truly amazing he helped my wife and me and we would do our appointments together he made our journey to sobriety really easy and really helped us get there.

My experience at the Huntington Bowen center has been great. The staff is helpful and always willing to accommodate me. My son and I both go here. I'd like to mention the wonderful caregivers who have bettered our lives. Firstly, Erin Hollowell is amazing with children. She's worked with my son and we've had family sessions that have resolved issues that seemed hopeless. She offers realistic advice and provides a plan that can help future issues. I appreciate how well she is able to articulate both side's perspectives and offer valuable feedback without undermining either of us. Fay Montague is a wonderful doctor who diligently worked to come up with a plan to help our family. It took months to see an improvement but she was persistent and showed our family so much compassion during one of the hardest times of our lives. I went from feeling endless frustration and wanting to give up to feeling hope for the first time in months and finally the results that we prayed for. Aaron Crump is an amazing therapist. He is so insightful and smart. He is able to reframe my situations in such a way that my perception shifts. Instead of offering pointless validation he challenges me by asking questions that lead me to a better understanding. It's so helpful when I'm feeling stuck in an unhealthy thought cycle and has improved my self esteem so much. I'm more reflective and have more self compassion. Don't let the other reviews persuade you. Our Bowen center is filled with providers who consistently do their best to improve the lives of their patients. This location is so much better than the ones in the surrounding community. Thank you for all you do.

I dont know why the rating is the way it is, I come here for mental health therapy and I think so far that my therapist is great and I am a very hard man to get along with because of my physical and mental health trauma in my past. My therapist, Brandy, is excellent and listens, and is also very real. I have been with Bowen for many years through Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and now Huntington. I currently live in Indianapolis and travel over two hours one way to come to therapy, this is how good Bowen is in my eyes.

I have been going to ICCBT for almost two years now. I have been treated with kindness and dignity since day one by my therapist and Dr. Clevenger. Dr. Clevenger felt that the medicine I have been taking is a good fit for my issues. They always accommodate my appointments and requests. But, I try to be considerate of their schedules also.

Ive been going here for years and I always, always have a positive experience! Sharron is so kind (a bit intimidating in the beginning, but once you get to know her shes very caring) and is always on top of medications, ready to listen to anything Im struggling with and has never made me feel badly for needing to switch medications (which Ive done several times)! She literally looks at anything and everything to make sure that all the bases are covered on my health. Its very easy to access my information on the online patient portal that they use too. Very happy with them and always reccomend them to friends and family!

Although wait times were longer than I expected and a follow up was scheduled pretty far out, I still was pleased with this facility. The registration staff was kind and helpful. Sean was a fantastic counselor to talk to. He was thorough and you can tell he cared. He creates a welcome and comfortable atmosphere. His recommendations were above and beyond as well.
