The group sessions are small enough to cater to the individual's needs while keeping an interactive session amongst clients enhancing the experience. The cafeteria staff takes pride in meal prep and the three meals per day are on par with home cooked meals. I am completing the Avenues program feeling confident in the skills and methods I've learned to continue recovery on my own and enjoy life to it's fullest.

A Place That Truly Saved My Life I don’t say this lightly when I say that Boca Recovery Center in Huntington, Indiana, saved my life. I struggled with addiction to opiates and fentanyl for approximately 30 years. During that time, I lost at least 80 friends to addiction. I have been to at least 30 treatment facilities throughout my life, and I can honestly say that none of them even came close to comparing to Boca. From the moment I made the call for help, I felt like someone genuinely cared. They were ready to help immediately, including arranging my flight and transportation to the airport. That kind of urgency and compassion meant more to me than I can put into words. The staff at this facility goes above and beyond to make you comfortable, safe, and cared for. They do things you wouldn't necessarily expect—from providing great food, snacks, and drinks to doing your laundry and making sure everything is clean and comfortable. I was honestly shocked when I found out they even did our laundry. And for those who smoke and may not be able to afford cigarettes, they even try to help with that. Most importantly, the people are what make Boca different. I came in needing help and left with people I consider friends for life. I would estimate that I made at least 30 new friends through what we affectionately called the Boca crew. I enjoyed my stay so much that I would honestly go back just to visit the staff. The nurses—Michelle, Tiffany, Tami, Beth, and Maddie—were incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring. They treated me with dignity and never made me feel judged. The techs—Grosiala, Leann, Bri, Lista, Nate, Malaia, Sarah, Michael, Mike, Jason, Darius, Crystal, Lilly, Joe, and Andrew—were friendly, relatable, and always there when we needed them. The addiction counselors, especially Candace and Dave, were absolutely amazing. Thank you both for the incredible groups and the information you shared. I didn't just listen—I took what you taught me to heart and truly internalized it. Taylor, the Client Care Coordinator, is absolutely amazing. She knows what she's talking about, and her compassion and dedication really stood out to me. Olive in housekeeping deserves recognition as well. She goes above and beyond, and the laundry was always returned clean and folded beautifully. And Bill and Jeff, the chefs—your cooking was incredible! Thank you for putting so much love into the food and making me feel at home. If I forgot to mention someone, I sincerely apologize. Please know that I appreciate every single member of the Boca team. Each person played a part in my recovery, and I will forever be grateful. Since coming home, my desire to use has been almost nonexistent—something I honestly wasn't sure was possible after 30 years of addiction. Boca didn't just give me treatment. They gave me hope, compassion, friendships, and another chance at life. To the entire Boca crew: Thank you for saving my life. Thank you for believing in me when I needed it most. I will forever be grateful for every one of you. If you're struggling with addiction and wondering if recovery is possible, please don't give up. Make the call. It could change everything. In Most states when you go to recovery you're treated like a prisoner they lock you into a recovery center and you can't go anywhere do anything not at Boca. Boca Recovery Center is totally different they treat you with respect. The staff: At Boca the staff understand what you're going through,they've been there . Most of them are recovering themselves . They get it! To the staff at Huntington Indiana. You Know Who You Are. Ya' all are great! Even if you have a disability the staff of Boca and Huntington Indiana will make sure that you are comfortable and capable of meeting your goal. If I had to pick four words to sum up the staff in Huntington Indiana it would be kind, professional, respectful, and compassionate. In summary if you have the compassion to want to get clean and stay sober Boca Huntington Indiana is one of my top recommendations. As long as you have the desire to get clean. Boca is the place to be. The staff is awesome. That people get along very respectful if you want to get your life together or you got a loved one that needs help with addiction. Joe's awesome Dave is awesome. Candace is awesome. Never won their nurses. They're all awesome people, and I gotta take a shout out to Michelle. It's Sunday not gonna forget you either brother, I recommend this place to the fullest. I can go all day long out. And I seen Yolanda and she is fantastic. She listens she has such a kind heart but will tell me if I’m doing something I should. She builds me up and makes me pro Ise to stop putting myself down. She is absolutely amazing and the fact that they heard the hurt in my voice when I called and got me on schedule for the next day is amazing. My children also go to the same place and their therapist is amazing as well. He listens to them as individuals. So anybody needing someone this place worked wonders for me and my kids. There are people that care here, both residents and staff. I'm 7 years sober today. Because of grace. In order to overcome many addictions you have to separate. First psychiatrist I seen was rude kind of just said I was doing drigs when I wasn't like my pee came back clean nothing in it tried saying I smoked marijuana I don't like marijuana I was addicted to fentanyl I wouldn't go smoke weed I would smoke fetty second off I'm giving a 4 star because the guy I see now is amazing and caring and actually talks to you and listens to you and helps people he's the best person I've ever seen it's sad that August will be his last month because he was truly amazing he helped my wife and me and we would do our appointments together he made our journey to sobriety really easy and really helped us get there.

My experience at the Huntington Bowen center has been great. The staff is helpful and always willing to accommodate me. My son and I both go here. I'd like to mention the wonderful caregivers who have bettered our lives. Firstly, Erin Hollowell is amazing with children. She's worked with my son and we've had family sessions that have resolved issues that seemed hopeless. She offers realistic advice and provides a plan that can help future issues. I appreciate how well she is able to articulate both side's perspectives and offer valuable feedback without undermining either of us. Fay Montague is a wonderful doctor who diligently worked to come up with a plan to help our family. It took months to see an improvement but she was persistent and showed our family so much compassion during one of the hardest times of our lives. I went from feeling endless frustration and wanting to give up to feeling hope for the first time in months and finally the results that we prayed for. Aaron Crump is an amazing therapist. He is so insightful and smart. He is able to reframe my situations in such a way that my perception shifts. Instead of offering pointless validation he challenges me by asking questions that lead me to a better understanding. It's so helpful when I'm feeling stuck in an unhealthy thought cycle and has improved my self esteem so much. I'm more reflective and have more self compassion. Don't let the other reviews persuade you. Our Bowen center is filled with providers who consistently do their best to improve the lives of their patients. This location is so much better than the ones in the surrounding community. Thank you for all you do.

I dont know why the rating is the way it is, I come here for mental health therapy and I think so far that my therapist is great and I am a very hard man to get along with because of my physical and mental health trauma in my past. My therapist, Brandy, is excellent and listens, and is also very real. I have been with Bowen for many years through Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and now Huntington. I currently live in Indianapolis and travel over two hours one way to come to therapy, this is how good Bowen is in my eyes.

The people saying people are rude and any bad about this… you’re wrong, absolutely wrong. They’re not rude to me, I don’t see it that way. I am very pleased with the care I am receiving at PBH in Decatur. I went to another facility in my area and felt like I was a experiment because they couldn’t get my medications right. The last counselor that I had their seemed like she didn’t have much experience with adult problems. My counselor here at PBH not only is listening to the train wreck my life has become, but she’s giving me the tools to get things back on track. Highly, highly recommend!!! And the NP actually know what she is doing and let’s me make decision about my care. It’s nice to know that my voice is not only being heard but respected.

The counselors I've had there are great. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE DR. Tammy. I moved here from out of state 3 years ago and had been recieving the same medication for my anxiety and panic attacks for over 20 years. This woman refuses to give me the medicine that I've had continually for all those years. She OUT RIGHT LIED to me about this medication. She said it is Not used for Long term care... even tho i was perscribed it for 20+ years. I have been using them with out asking for increased dosage or amounts. Now, I have become her testing project. How can refusing a patient a medication that Works be how someone conducts their practice. I have gone in 3 times over a 2.5 year period begging to be put back on my regular regimen and have been refused. I would not recommend her to Anyone. I feel absolutely ignored by her and do not trust a word that she says, after all she LIED to my face.

Variety of mental health services available on outpatient basis. 24 hour advance notification required for appointments unable to be attended by consumer. Failure to provide advance cancellation results in policy of non ability to reschedule future appointment. Future appointments must be on a "walk-in" basis, depending on chance of available time openings during certain hours. It is very important and necessary to make every effort to keep or cancel scheduled appointments in advance. Especially known unable to attend or have no intention to keep the scheduled appointment. There are normally consumers waiting or needing appointments cancelled in advance. Fees depend on income and sliding scale. Medicare and Indiana Medicaid accepted, also private insurance accepted with prior arrangement. Psychiatric Outpatient provider available for medication needs weekly when necessary at this location when possible.

Honestly, half these reviews are exaggerating OR are describing how things use to be yearsss ago at the clinic.. There are cameras, they have been in place for; a year or so maybe-giveORtake; So outside issues have pretty much subsided. Now, the people sitting in their cars while people "hold their spots" IS something a few certain individuals do, but certainly BHG have been and will be addressing those issues as well from their camera footage.!? And last but not least THEIR ARE 4 NURSES NOW đź‘Ź YAAAYY Usually 4windows open! Barely a wait in the last 2 months at least.

Overall, this place really does a lot right. The staff works hard, things run smoothly and you can tell there are people here who genuinely care about what they’re doing. Huge shoutout to Michelle (aka the real MVP / PD) for keeping things together. It does not go unnoticed. That said…the parking lot is currently giving “extreme sports obstacle course.” The potholes are not subtle. You don’t just park here, you navigate it. If you hear a loud thud on your way in, just know it’s not construction, it’s your suspension filing a complaint. Fix the potholes and this place would be pretty close to perfect. Until then, consider it part of the full experience — just drive in like you value your tires.
