I am very pleased with the care I am receiving at PBH in Decatur. I went to another facility in my area and felt like I was a experiment because they couldn’t get my medications right. The last counselor that I had their seemed like she didn’t have much experience with adult problems. My counselor here at PBH not only is listening to the train wreck my life has become, but she’s giving me the tools to get things back on track. Highly, highly recommend!!! And the NP actually know what she is doing and let’s me make decision about my care. It’s nice to know that my voice is not only being heard but respected.

The counselors I've had there are great. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE DR. Tammy. I moved here from out of state 3 years ago and had been recieving the same medication for my anxiety and panic attacks for over 20 years. This woman refuses to give me the medicine that I've had continually for all those years. She OUT RIGHT LIED to me about this medication. She said it is Not used for Long term care... even tho i was perscribed it for 20+ years. I have been using them with out asking for increased dosage or amounts. Now, I have become her testing project. How can refusing a patient a medication that Works be how someone conducts their practice. I have gone in 3 times over a 2.5 year period begging to be put back on my regular regimen and have been refused. I would not recommend her to Anyone. I feel absolutely ignored by her and do not trust a word that she says, after all she LIED to my face.

Variety of mental health services available on outpatient basis. 24 hour advance notification required for appointments unable to be attended by consumer. Failure to provide advance cancellation results in policy of non ability to reschedule future appointment. Future appointments must be on a "walk-in" basis, depending on chance of available time openings during certain hours. It is very important and necessary to make every effort to keep or cancel scheduled appointments in advance. Especially known unable to attend or have no intention to keep the scheduled appointment. There are normally consumers waiting or needing appointments cancelled in advance. Fees depend on income and sliding scale. Medicare and Indiana Medicaid accepted, also private insurance accepted with prior arrangement. Psychiatric Outpatient provider available for medication needs weekly when necessary at this location when possible.

Overall, this place really does a lot right. The staff works hard, things run smoothly and you can tell there are people here who genuinely care about what they’re doing. Huge shoutout to Michelle (aka the real MVP / PD) for keeping things together. It does not go unnoticed. That said…the parking lot is currently giving “extreme sports obstacle course.” The potholes are not subtle. You don’t just park here, you navigate it. If you hear a loud thud on your way in, just know it’s not construction, it’s your suspension filing a complaint. Fix the potholes and this place would be pretty close to perfect. Until then, consider it part of the full experience — just drive in like you value your tires.

My husband and I love it here! Our intake day was our first great experience. Both of us had to do intake and they stop taking intakes at 10:00, we walked in at 9:57-9:58 and they still took us! I tried getting in with Bowen the day before and they wouldn’t take me, they said I had to schedule an appointment and it would be another week, but BHG was my saving grace! They want to help. Everybody is always friendly and caring as well. Tom at the office (and there’s another girl that does it, she has glasses and I think her name is Alexis? If not I apologize! 😅) but both of them are always In a good mood and willing to help and answer any questions you have. Tom also has memorized ( I think he said 70-80% of everybody’s number) which is beyond impressive! I got sick one day before they opened and Tom and the director (the first door by all the chairs) came and checked on me and asked if I need them to call anybody, they waited to open the clinic until I was ok (keep in mind there was a line). The counselors are also great and very understanding! If you work with them and tell them your situations and schedules they will do what they can to work with you. I got a few of my counseling sessions switched to phone calls because my husband has work early in the mornings and we don’t have much time to do anything when we come. My counselors name is Mariah and she is very nice and caring. Very easy to talk to as well! Also, she’s veryyyy stylish ! 😎 always coming in with a different hair style and she can pull off any outfit (I am beyond jealous!) and she’s got the sassy walk to pull it all off! 😂😂 I also gotta give Kari a good word, she’s another counselor here. When my husband and I couldn’t come at the designated group times she went out of her way to do a private group with just me and him. She also did it quickly since, like I said, we don’t have much time in the mornings. Like I said, if you work with them and tell them what’s going on, they will work with you. I gotta give it to the nurses as well, we have three of them and they’re all wonderful. When I got sick that one morning, Angel, came and checked on me and got me a bag, I was very appreciative of her. All three of them are very friendly, caring and compassionate. You can tell they really do care, and they take the time to great you and ask you how you’re doing. If they’re not busy they might strike up a conversation. I could tell any of these ladies anything and I wouldn’t feel any judgment. Lastly I gotta say a good word about Robert! He’s our security guard/muscle of the building. He’s a very good person, he’ll strike up a conversation with anybody and about anything. He also remembers you! They see so many people and here, the staff does remember you. He’s a very nice, down to earth guy, but he will step in when and if he has to, he cares about his people and doesn’t like when somebody creates a problem. He also got me a paper from the front desk once that I was very thankful for! This place has definitely cleaned up BIG TIME. I wasn’t here when it was on Wells street but I’ve heard the talk and it has done a full 360, plus some. The nurses keep a very close eye on the line and if you try cutting, or causing a problem when somebody gets back in their spot in line, they will say something. They don’t want to get confused so they like their line how it’s supposed to be! Also, they don’t want you to have to wait if that truly is your spot! The people that come here are awesome, everybody helps keep an eye on things and most people are good people here. I 100% would recommend BHG recovery over Bowen, or Marion, to anybody looking to get sober.

Amazing place as far as people go. Would have gave them five Stars but their hours are ridiculous especially on Saturdays when when they close at 9:30 and they only have one lady working or they have urinalysis on Saturdays when they're only open for 4 hours a lot of times on Saturday the line is out the door and sometimes almost to the back of the parking lot which is a line of about 200 ft and you're standing out there in the elements for an hour sometimes, below zero it's not very pleasant. Other than that the staff get five stars nurses front office and counselors and the doc is great too.

I have been to many inpatient psychiatric hospitals. This one was definitely one of the best. All the staff was extremely courteous and compassionate. I have a great therapist now and am very happy with Meridian. But my last therapist, Erika, was really horrible. Avoid her at all costs. She lies in therapy notes and is very unprofessional in conversation. She ridiculed my thoughts and opinions and and has no concept of peer support duties. Thankfully it was only a few sessions. The rest of the people are really great, especially the women at the front desk and my current therapist.

They had real beds. You don't really have a bed time but the tv and lights go off at 10. Phone use is pretty open unless your in group they make it a choice for group they clearly told everyone they didn't have to go which I never went once I got out pretty fast too. Food was amazing they pretty much have a lot of opinions. You can get snacks whenever and their are opinions to have soda with breakfast lunch and dinner.

Many people give this place negative reviews but that's only because they're struggling with their own personal mental problems. I have been here twice and both times I was treated with love and compassion. Many of the nurses there are very kind and caring and I even made friends amongst the other patients. Please don't let your own personal struggles allow you to judge this place too harshly. I don't know where I would be without PBH.

Sharron is so kind (a bit intimidating in the beginning, but once you get to know her shes very caring) and is always on top of medications, ready to listen to anything Im struggling with and has never made me feel badly for needing to switch medications (which Ive done several times)! She literally looks at anything and everything to make sure that all the bases are covered on my health. Its very easy to access my information on the online patient portal that they use too. Very happy with them and always reccomend them to friends and family!

Although wait times were longer than I expected and a follow up was scheduled pretty far out, I still was pleased with this facility. The registration staff was kind and helpful. I took the time to read some of the reviews and decided that I would leave my own. Kay is a wonderful person, compassionate and understanding. Yes she can be vary strong and opinionated. I will say that she told me a truth I wasn’t willing to accept, she pointed out the obvious thar I couldn’t see. Self can’t see self when I am caught up into what I want out of life ( relationships money social status) I like to use the term, my wiener, my wallet, my place in the pack. Whenever my basic instinct are harmed or threatened, I react poorly. I went into Kay’s office over 20 years ago, trying to fix relationship prior to getting married thank God I never married that woman. I also had alcoholism and addiction that I really didn’t recognize. Thanks to case direction. I found my way to a 12 step program which saved my life, improved my relationships, and escalated my career path. This woman treated me when I didn’t have the money for treatment. She wrote it off. She basically sat down with me on her own dime to help me and she didn’t even know me really. If you don’t know what that is, it’s called compassion, caring, and giving pretty much the opposite of some of the poor reviews. I’ve read. I’m not on here to defend her. I’m on here to say that if this is where God has brought you to, then maybe you should listen because you never know who’s carrying in the message you need to hear. I am forever grateful to wise choices and the effort she put into my life when I couldn’t even pay for those efforts that’s called being a selfless (unselfish) altruistic individual. If you’re in a toxic relationship, she’s gonna let you know that because you’re not paying her to lie to you and cuddle you you’re paying her to give you a truth. You’re not willing to see and that is true for any good counselor therapist psychiatrist. Highly recommend wise choices because of the woman she is, not afraid to hurt your feelings. And if you’re seeking help, obviously that means you’re not able to see the truth in your life and you’re asking someone else to help you. So whatever choice you make whether it’s her or some other therapist, may God bless your path and help you see the truth. I will tell you that I haven’t spoken to Kay in quite a long time but every time I see her, it makes my heart happy. She didn’t pay me to leave this review nor am I related to her or her business in anyway, I’m just a recovering alcoholic who’s living life today because Kay took the time to help me and for that I am forever grateful
