Icanb Serious 1 year ago I struggle with severe OCD and intrusive thoughts. My very caring psychiatrist, Angela Soder, is right by my side and helps me fight my battle with OCD day in and day out. I'd be so lost without her. Without her, I sometimes wonder if I would of given up and lost my battle some time ago. I like how she NEVER suggests the ER for my unless of course, I was serious with a plan and/or intent to hurt myself or others, which so far hasn't happened yet. Instead, she schedules me in for an appointment so we can talk about it. Any other psych provider I talk to doesn't even attempt to help me. They just say something along the lines of "You need to go to the ER and probably be admitted" how is locking me up with my thoughts supposed to help? She understands my thoughts are just thoughts and I just need someone to talk to when I feel a certain way. She understands that admitting me into the hospital isn't the answer, and will only make me feel worse. Anyway, I give Angela Soder 5 stars! She is awesome! Again, I'd be so lost without her! This one was definitely one of the best. All the staff was extremely courteous and compassionate. Does not feel like a jail at all like other places. My therapist and I connect via video chat on the weekends which makes it very convenient for my busy teenage life! Not only that, I found a lovely place that took my insurance (which not many places do) and it is in the same building where my pediatrician used to be, which gives lots of comfort and familiarity. He was the perfect match for us…easy to talk to, responsive, helpful. We were finally able to successfully navigate cognitive behavioral therapy because Logan allowed my daughter to manage her exposures in her own time…it was exactly what she needed. I am also extremely grateful that Logan was open to us digging into her physiological health in order to uncover imbalances that were heightening her anxiety response.
