After a complex 7-hour surgery and a few unexpected bumps in recovery, I was treated with compassion, professionalism, and genuine care every step of the way. The staff made a difficult week much easier, and I always felt safe, supported, and heard. It's nice. The flamekin 8 months ago I have been going to Harbor behavioral health for psychiatric care and I even started out going there for therapy. It has been the most life-changing and wonderful/painful/tear filled/confusing, but ultimately hopeful experience I have ever had. They are changing my life. Sarah Bailey was my psychiatrist right after my psychosis and she was with me for the past two years. She helped me learn to walk and was there for me every time I had a crisis. She and Nikki were my cheerleaders through the toughest time in my life. Alexya Romo was the counselor that I found there and she is still my counselor to this day. If it wasn’t for these people, I don’t think I’d be where I am today. And yeah, I can’t speak for everyone but the team I got were all-stars. Fast forward to today: a woman named Mallory took Nikki’s place and she is very responsive, kind, and caring. I don’t know her well but I know she cares about her job. My new psychiatrist is Angela and we are still learning about each other and I think she is doing a good job listening to me and connecting with me. He was the perfect match for us…easy to talk to, responsive, helpful. We were finally able to successfully navigate cognitive behavioral therapy because Logan allowed my daughter to manage her exposures in her own time…it was exactly what she needed. I am also extremely grateful that Logan was open to us digging into her physiological health in order to uncover imbalances that were heightening her anxiety response. All the staff have been awesome and treat the patients as humans not as just another addict. From the front desk to nurses to the counselors to the Drs. A lot of the staff have been there a few years which that right there tells you its a good place bc thats rare in this line of work. I do telehealth for counseling which I love . Carrie has been one of the best counselors I have ever had or seen. She's at #2 in my own chart. I hope to start taking the steps to wean off and this is first time I've ever felt confident about doing it despite the pain as I know there are ways to deal with it now.
