Chris in the crisis support unit really went the extra mile to help me. She was on the phone, then came out and met me when I finally made the choice to come in, and gave me some comfort. She was very honest which I really found important, and I'm really glad that I came in. She celebrated the little victories while I had there, and was the one to see me out when I left. Everyone seemed really enjoyable in the CSU and support staff seemed lovely as well. I believe Sarah was the other person I met there, and I really enjoyed how she spoke on my level and it was very calm, and casual, and I liked how the professional getup was gone, it felt very personable and to me that was extremely valuable. The other places I've gone to have been alright, but I'm one of those people who value real person-to-person connection, and my short visit to the crisis unit really helped me out a lot.

Proven Treatments to Help. If you say it doesn’t help in any way, you’re lying and that’s between you and God! They serve all required meals plus more at times. Nice rooms. My experience is the patients treat the workers terribly sometimes. I don’t like that at all. Patient acts like they the president or the universe. Patients think workers should serve them like KIngs and queens. Most pay no money for services. Probably tax payers money, yikes. Stay Humble. God Bless.

I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for the incredible support I received from Unison. After experiencing an accident, I had to join a program while also managing communication with the court — a very stressful time in my life. Thankfully, my consultant Chyna was with me every step of the way. She went above and beyond, offering guidance, encouragement, and all the resources I needed. I also want to recognize Mrs. Gaston, whose warmth and kindness lifted me during one of my lowest moments. Her support made a huge difference, and I’ll never forget the role she played in helping me through. I’m currently working with Bruce, and he’s been great — professional, understanding, and consistent. Thank you to everyone at Unison. Your dedication and compassion truly changed my life. Making the choice to call the TCED(Aster Springs of Ohio) admissions team, do an assessment, and accept their recommendation was not easy. I was scared and thought there was no hope. My wonderful admissions resource, Renessa, was so helpful in guiding me every step of the way by answering all my questions, challenging my ED’s fears about treatment, and encouraging me. I would not have been able to make this choice without her advocacy and support. When you walk through the doors, you are met with some of the kindest people you will ever come across in this field, and sometimes they even come out to the parking lot to help you not have to walk through the doors alone. They all genuinely care about this work and will do everything they can to help you on your journey. The staff is phenomenal from maintenance, RCS’s, Nurses, the Clinical staff and Dietitians to Leadership. While in treatment, you build great rapport with your treatment team, especially the more honest you are with them, but you also connect so much with all the staff in the building. To work at Aster Springs Ohio is to care about the patients by challenging the eating disorders and supporting the person every step of the way. They truly all care so much and all have their own reasons for being in this work. I absolutely gained my life back by choosing to come to TCED, and I would make the same choice every time. The work of fighting your eating disorder and choosing recovery continues when you walk out of the doors, but you move forward with all the skills, tools, and support learned during your stay in addition to joining the alumni community. If you are struggling, reach out and share your concerns with the admissions staff. I know it made all the difference for me in being able to take steps towards choosing recovery consistently. If you are at TCED, you will not have to struggle with anything alone. Instead of fighting your eating disorder in isolation and secrets, you will be met with a safe space for honesty, support, and healing.

I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am for the care I received at the veteran clinic yesterday. 05/27/25 I had accidentally left my effexor in another city and hadn’t taken it in three days (please don’t EVER do this!), I was a complete wreck, both physically and emotionally. I rushed to the clinic in a bad state, and even though they were clearly understaffed, everyone treated me with such compassion and urgency. I especially want to thank the pharmacy tech working at the desk by the windows. I was crying, struggling, and deep in withdrawal symptoms, but she never once made me feel judged or invalidated. she was kind, patient, and truly went above and beyond to help me get what I needed. her empathy meant everything to me in that moment. I also want to shout out the woman who helped with registration. she was calm, efficient, and kind, which really helped ease some of my anxiety. I left that clinic feeling heard, cared for, and supported. thank you so much to the team for taking care of us!!!!

I went to the Emergency at Flower Hospital after getting dizzy and breaking my fall at home. I’m 70 and never had such an episode. The staff from my arrival to discharge were amazing. Marie in ER was fantastic and witnessed a dizzy episode I was experiencing. She immediately notified the Nurse Practitioner and the additional Test. The first Doctor I met in the ER got me some more warm blankets and made a good wrap around my legs and feet. After consulting with another doctor my daughter agreed with the doctor that I should be admitted. I went to room 717 for overnight observation. Oh my the staff just continued their friendly, professional and efficient way of caring for me. I’m like do they have cameras watching them. They took their time introduced themselves and their positions. They explained how test results would be given to the house doctor who would consult with a neurologist. It’s about 3:30 and I can’t remember the one nurse’s name but she has 2 children. My daughter was saying something about my 5&6 yr old grand children, she shared with my daughter about her kids to make my daughter feel comfortable. She the explained it was important for me to eat and gave her instructions on how to order from the menu. It’s room service style just like a hotel, oh my. I ordered grill chicken Alfredo with onions and mushrooms. A side salad, 2 oatmeal raisin cookies and a fruit cup. It came in about 35 min.and was delicious and the salad was so fresh. I’m not one to call the nurse often but when did they responded and always said that’s what we’re here for. Discharged went smoothly everything was explained by house doctor and nurse. I was told I would be discharged around 11am. I asked if I could eat breakfast and was told most definitely, we would never send you home hungry. I realize Flower is a smaller hospital but the and efficiency of the entire staff and service can compete with any other hospital big or small. I would like to humbly thank everyone with my care and discharge.

Dr. Cumbo, I don't know what kind of voodoo you did on my daughter. I have spent years trying to get to the bottom of my daughter's depression with multiple doctors offices, but she has never been able to open up to anyone. After the 30 minute VIDEO CHAT with you MEETING HER FOR THE FIRST TIME my daughter spilled her guts to me about everything and we are finally on the right track! I cannot thank you enough!!

My daughter sees Amanda Chagolla at the Sylvania location. Amanda is friendly, pleasant informed and doesn't waste time. Prior to knowing exactly what integrated care meant, I mistakenly gave her a low rating but I now understand more and take it back. she's only the physician, at harbor take advantage of other help available! There are case managers, case workers, counselors, etc. Numerous different positions, all a part of the same spectrum. 🌈🏥👩🏼‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️🧕🏽🧑‍🔬👩🏿‍💻🏢✨ I think Harbor is doing better..At the end of c0v!d everyone was rather discombobulated and Harbor was no exception. I'm happy to report that they seem to be running fairly smoothly again and I hope to continue on there. Thanks!
