I have sat in that waiting room far more times than I imagined i would. I have seen people come in with a crisis and just say that they needed help. The front desk person starts to make calls to see who they can get up front to help them. They care. They are also not gods. They are human. And I am guessing on this but I have a feeling it is a rather high stress job. My family has been helped more times than I can count this last year. I mean - ha - I feel like our family should be poster children for them. Tricia is a wonderful, lovely therapist. I cried when my daughter was dropped from Medicaid and was no longer eligible for the program. We did end up with Promedica where she ended up getting a great doctor. Lacey, Jonelle and a few others who have come and gone have been instrumental in helping my older daughter get services as a disabled adult. The people who work here - I mean - to say they care is putting it mildly. They go above and beyond in unseen ways to care for the people who walk through their doors. With that being said - resources are not unlimited. And as decisions have to get made - they care. I've seen it multiple times. If you are having a crisis - yes you can call them. If you are having a crisis - yes you can go in during hours. They will do their best. Jail or the streets were your option so remember that these people are getting paid very little yet choose to work here because most of them do care but there are thinhs called HIPPA laws etc and so that takes a toll on certain aspects of how they have to structure thier program. I have seen many staff members come & go, and right now, I believe the Dearborn CMS location has the best group. They have each others backs, they work with patients to be flexible, and the team as a whole works with synergy. Tiffani has the talent of memorization, multi-tasking, dealing with difficult situations, plus many others all while maintaining a professional & pleasant demeanor. RN Tanya is professional, explains things clearly & thoroughly, and has a really big heart for her job! Counselor Yete gives great talks & guidance. She shows concern for us, in our journey inside & outside of the clinic. She is wonderful! And of course our lovley Dr!!! She is so professional with the best bedside manner. This is the place you want to be, if you want to recover. It's clean, classes are phenomenal, nurses, doctors, therapists, milieu techs, med techs, environmental services, everyone is great. Aftercare here is also wonderful. Update: they are wonderful until you need them again. I called yesterday, they were suppose to call back. I haven't been there for 3yrs. I needed help. Today no response. Tried calling back, no response. I had been seeing a therapist after she quit there. She only had terrible things to say about the place that they weren't up to updated treatments. I was not an attendee, simply a support person for a friend who decided to cut his stay short, but here is what I can say from being a person limited on the outside. 1.) The amount of ability they give to allow for the family member to contact their loved ones is great! I was astounded by the high allowances of connection they give to those who are admitted. It's a huge plus, which is shocking but greatly appreciated. 2.) Every person there was kind but committed. I got the vibe that they were there to do a job, and do it well, but without being rude. I could tell there was compassion here for the people they take in. 3.) They have rules that are relatively strict, as is true of most rehab facilities. 4.) They were clean, and offered as many amenities as they could given that insurance covers those who stay there. It does feel hospital-ey, but it is owned by a hospital, so no real major un-expectations there. MY ONLY COMPLAINT: the heat and A/C in the building seems to be lacking. It seems the facility is well worn, and could use a re-up. It gets hot in there in the summertime, and I can imagine it would be difficult for me to sleep there. Apart from that, I have zero complaints. I feel this team of people did the best they could given the circumstances, and I appreciate their dedication to their jobs. This place is complete. You're treated with what I consider the three C's of any people centered service facility. Care, Compassion, and Concern. It's all genuine. If you are at a low point and need a pick-me-up, if you are seeking to have an entire crew treat and meet you exactly where you are, if you need a stress free environment or 1 on 1 attention with spirited individuals who truly have an unbelievable passion and patience and grace for what they do, look no further. This isn't where dreams are necessarily made, but they are most certainly realized. You have to take care of you and be right with yourself before you can take care of anybody else. I wish I could be a part of this team but they are a select cohesive group with a gifted calling. Don't be ashamed. Don't be afraid. Mental health and substance abuse are real things. They see I am prescribed Suboxone (have been for 5 plus years) and try to take me off of my psych meds I've been on for five years or longer.yes, one is a controlled substance but ive heard so many reasons why they won't or can't continue me on my medicine that I know works because I've been told multiple times completely different stories.it took years to find the right cocktail that works for me.only by the prescribing doctors do I ever have anything to complain about.i don't usually leave reviews for anything unless it's something I love or it's a genuine problem.i know plenty of people who are prescribed incredibly unnecessary amounts of drugs, or people with the same or similar combination I am on and don't have the problem i am having. opioid crisis I get it but not everyone taking them is abusing them.is the only way I'm going to get the same meds I've always been on by going to a shrink where I have to pay? I've seen plenty of doctors who weren't psych doctors but would still give me my psych meds with my Suboxone, yes things are different now more strict, but over the last two and a half years of trying to find a shrink to get my stuff from the right doctor , I haven't had a psych prescribe my psych meds to me In almost three years. My PCP and my Suboxone doctor help me by writing them as long as I show them I am trying to get in somewhere. So if it's perfectly fine for the doctors who really shouldn't be giving benzos scripts to me (psych meds were originally started from actual psychiatrist in the beginning) why in the EFF will absolutely no one help me?!?
