I'd like to mention the wonderful caregivers who have bettered our lives. Firstly, Erin Hollowell is amazing with children. She's worked with my son and we've had family sessions that have resolved issues that seemed hopeless. She offers realistic advice and provides a plan that can help future issues. I appreciate how well she is able to articulate both side's perspectives and offer valuable feedback without undermining either of us. Fay Montague is a wonderful doctor who diligently worked to come up with a plan to help our family. It took months to see an improvement but she was persistent and showed our family so much compassion during one of the hardest times of our lives. I went from feeling endless frustration and wanting to give up to feeling hope for the first time in months and finally the results that we prayed for. Aaron Crump is an amazing therapist. He is so insightful and smart. He is able to reframe my situations in such a way that my perception shifts. Instead of offering pointless validation he challenges me by asking questions that lead me to a better understanding. It's so helpful when I'm feeling stuck in an unhealthy thought cycle and has improved my self esteem so much. I'm more reflective and have more self compassion. Don't let the other reviews persuade you. Our Bowen center is filled with providers who consistently do their best to improve the lives of their patients. My therapist, Brandy, is excellent and listens, and is also very real. I have been with Bowen for many years through Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and now Huntington. Boy was I wrong! Started coming here because I moved to wabash and I am beyond impressed with this Bowen. My psych practitioner was attentive and super informative and even asked me to ask her any question about her I wanted to know as an icebreaker which I thought was really cool. She informed me they now do primary care as well and I needed a new primary care as well and so glad I went here. The NP was nothing short of spectacular, friendly, caring, informative and super attentive to my health concerns. She addressed every single problem I had and listened intently instead of putting off my concerns like a lot of doctors normally seem to do. Wayne and have not one time felt regret over the decision. The beds here are comfortable. The rooms and facilities are clean and maintained well on a regular basis. The meals that are provided here are great in comparison to the food at any comparable inpatient rehab facility you could find in the area. The staff are kind, patient, and well trained as well as being some of the top people in their respective fields. Better yet is that the staff is very well trained and understanding that you will be going through this process and may be short tempered and others are too. I am coming out completely stable and ready for this new life that was given to me in the last 28 days. For aftercare they set all that up so you just need to set up your appointment time with your provider. For years, I convinced myself I could manage it on my own or that I wasn’t “sick enough” to need real help. I had tried outpatient and virtual PHP/IOP care, but I wasn’t fully honest in my recovery and continued to hold on to unhealthy patterns. By the beginning of 2026, I realized I couldn’t keep living that way. I was exhausted and stuck, and I finally chose to seek deeper, more intentional help. Coming to Selah changed everything for me. What makes Selah so different is the way they care for the whole person, not just the physical side of recovery, but the emotional and spiritual healing as well. The staff truly see you, meet you where you are, and walk with you through the hardest parts without judgment. I never felt like just another patient, I felt known, supported, and genuinely cared for. During my time here, I began to understand that my worth is not tied to my body. I learned how to challenge the lies I had believed for so long and start accepting truth instead. The integration of faith was especially impactful for me, it helped me see that healing is possible and that I don’t have to do it alone. Recovery hasn’t been perfect or easy, but Selah gave me tools, support, and hope that I didn’t have before. I’ve seen real change in my heart and mindset, and for the first time, I believe freedom is possible. Life before Selah was chaotic, stressful, and I was MAJORLY obsessed with body image and working out. I was trapped. When I first got to Selah, I instantly felt love and nurture. I know my faith in Jesus was the number one reason I am in recovery now AND Selah definitely assisted in my recovery as well. I know this is not the case for all, but I never looked back at my old eating disorder when I left. (No shame if you have had treatment and relapsed, sometimes that just happens.) If you hear a loud thud on your way in, just know it’s not construction, it’s your suspension filing a complaint. Fix the potholes and this place would be pretty close to perfect. Both of us had to do intake and they stop taking intakes at 10:00, we walked in at 9:57-9:58 and they still took us! I tried getting in with Bowen the day before and they wouldn’t take me, they said I had to schedule an appointment and it would be another week, but BHG was my saving grace! They want to help. Everybody is always friendly and caring as well. Tom at the office (and there’s another girl that does it, she has glasses and I think her name is Alexis? If not I apologize! 😅) but both of them are always In a good mood and willing to help and answer any questions you have. Tom also has memorized ( I think he said 70-80% of everybody’s number) which is beyond impressive! I got sick one day before they opened and Tom and the director (the first door by all the chairs) came and checked on me and asked if I need them to call anybody, they waited to open the clinic until I was ok (keep in mind there was a line). The counselors are also great and very understanding! If you work with them and tell them your situations and schedules they will do what they can to work with you. I got a few of my counseling sessions switched to phone calls because my husband has work early in the mornings and we don’t have much time to do anything when we come. My counselors name is Mariah and she is very nice and caring. Very easy to talk to as well! Also, she’s veryyyy stylish ! 😎 always coming in with a different hair style and she can pull off any outfit (I am beyond jealous!) and she’s got the sassy walk to pull it all off! 😂😂 I also gotta give Kari a good word, she’s another counselor here. When my husband and I couldn’t come at the designated group times she went out of her way to do a private group with just me and him. She also did it quickly since, like I said, we don’t have much time in the mornings. Like I said, if you work with them and tell them what’s going on, they will work with you. I gotta give it to the nurses as well, we have three of them and they’re all wonderful. When I got sick that one morning, Angel, came and checked on me and got me a bag, I was very appreciative of her. All three of them are very friendly, caring and compassionate. You can tell they really do care, and they take the time to great you and ask you how you’re doing. If they’re not busy they might strike up a conversation. I could tell any of these ladies anything and I wouldn’t feel any judgment. Lastly I gotta say a good word about Robert! He’s our security guard/muscle of the building. He’s a very good person, he’ll strike up a conversation with anybody and about anything. He also remembers you! They see so many people and here, the staff does remember you. He’s a very nice, down to earth guy, but he will step in when and if he has to, he cares about his people and doesn’t like when somebody creates a problem. He also got me a paper from the front desk once that I was very thankful for! This place has definitely cleaned up BIG TIME. I wasn’t here when it was on Wells street but I’ve heard the talk and it has done a full 360, plus some. The nurses keep a very close eye on the line and if you try cutting, or causing a problem when somebody gets back in their spot in line, they will say something. They don’t want to get confused so they like their line how it’s supposed to be! Also, they don’t want you to have to wait if that truly is your spot! The people that come here are awesome, everybody helps keep an eye on things and most people are good people here. I 100% would recommend BHG recovery over Bowen, or Marion, to anybody looking to get sober. Jena Perry 4 months ago Amazing place as far as people go. Would have gave them five Stars but their hours are ridiculous especially on Saturdays when when they close at 9:30 and they only have one lady working or they have urinalysis on Saturdays when they're only open for 4 hours a lot of times on Saturday the line is out the door and sometimes almost to the back of the parking lot which is a line of about 200 ft and you're standing out there in the elements for an hour sometimes, below zero it's not very pleasant.
