About YWCA of Northeast Indiana — Addiction Recovery Services
In northern Fort Wayne, Indiana, women aged 18 and older looking to recover from drug or alcohol addiction can find the help they need at the YWCA of Northeast Indiana.
At this CARF accredited residential facility, they provide a structured rehab program that helps you progress towards self sufficiency as you progress through several stages.
They also provide opportunities for you to learn new skills, restore strained relationships and build a long lasting support network.
Residential Care for Women
Within their program, they use several traditional and alternative approaches to help each woman learn and grow in ways that resonate with her uniqueness.
Individual counseling and therapy (which can include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and other evidence based techniques) give you a chance to discuss and overcome the most personal aspects of your struggle.
They also facilitate group therapy sessions and 12 step support group meetings. Some of the other services they provide are cooking classes, case management, skills teaching groups and family support sessions. Regular yoga and exercise activities are also available to support your recovery.
Providing Safety
This facility also helps women looking to escape abusive relationships and living situations. For this reason, it’s an ideal place of safety when domestic abuse and substance use are intertwined in a woman’s life.

Levels of Care
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
Treatments
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
Clinical Services
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
