I saw Travis Wasson while I visited, I felt listened to and genuinely cared for. He was easy to talk to and very thoughtful. It was always a nice and calm environment during my few appointments there, and I was treated with kindness and respect.
The receptionist was sweet to me and made bill paying easy, she was very personable. I liked how softspoken it felt, very good for me, being an anxious person. Thank you psychological consultants for taking care of me!

The new management in the facility and the personality of therapists and security are the best parts of this program. The contracts that the state writes with the KPEP facilities is almost enough to make you want to commit suicide. Underfunded and given very little permission to actually make improvements to the place makes creating positive changes in this place almost impossible. Despite all of this positive things do happen and I would credit this to the new management and the personality of the therapists and security who in my opinion entered the job for the correct reason.

It is a rehab facility. It is not a prison. Residents are treated fairly. It's a great way to get into a federal job atmosphere. Just know it's a lot of hours but a lot of pay as well. Residents get three meals a day. Smoke breaks store and comisarie. It is a male only facility.

I've enjoyed my counciling here very professional staff. Girls up front are very nice. I like how quickly they get to me on the phone. That can agitate people. Justin Hutchenson has helped me decompress alot of stress in my life dealing with multiple deaths in my family and my own health tragedy. The therapist my daughter saw at the Portage location was wonderful. Billing was always an issue - they would say we owed money, so we would pay it, then they could contact us and process a refund because we "overpaid". Otherwise, we were very pleased. However I have been trying to reach them for a week now. Website says they are available 24/7 - however I have called EVERY number on their website repeatedly, as well as the number the "owner" provided in these comments, and there is never an answer or option to leave a message. I also submitted an appointment request form through their website and have not received a response. Not sure what is going on here. UPDATE: apparently this is a cell phone issue - NOT pine rest. Despite using my phone daily and having no issues making calls, for whatever reason, I had to put my cell phone on then off airplane mode and suddenly I was able to make calls to them. Updated my review to correct for this.

The customer service, the woman answering the phone that we are asking for help trying to fill a prescription, seems to actively want to NOT help. We are trying to get meds, that we have been unable to get since September, and the same woman on the phone talks over us, talks in circles, and doesn't help resolve the issue. I was informed 1 hour before my psychiatrist appointment that they no longer take my insurance so my appointment was canceled and I had to find a new doctor and therapist. I am 47 and have been a patient at OPC since I was 13. I think someone should have informed me of this change long before 1 hour prior to my appointment! None of the recommendations for a new doctor are within an hour of where I live. I’m currently lost looking for a new place to go with very minimal help!

I did my intake/transfer from my muskegon clinic this morning and they were so good to work with and made me comfortable which is something I was worried about. The staff was super nice and professional! I'm excited to see where this next chapter of my sober journey will take me with this facility now! The councilers & Doctor really have empathy for what people are going thru, they don't judge, and help you every step of the way. I would be so much worse off but the ACT TEAM has been bringing me meds every other day to prevent another suicide attempt and with their help I have hope of not being homeless and although I am extremely depressed because of my situation, the meds are really helping my schizophrenic symptoms. I'm still many layers beneath depression due to the reality I woke up to but the Act adventures and getting out with people makes me feel human again.and I am looking forward to trying clubhouse

I feel for the most part all the staff are pretty laid back, I get along with all of them, it seems pretty professional to me! Of course I hate that I have to drug test twice a week and do the groups and one on one meetings because it really messes with my job and I lose a lot of hrs every week but I put myself in the position that I'm in so no one to blame but myself. It would be nice if they could work around your job schedule better when it comes to groups and the one on one meetings! That's my only complaint!!
