It truly changed my life the way she explained was understandable and I always felt like she actually cared about my well being. She had great communication and quick responsiveness. She took time to answer my questions until I understood. Tracys knowledge was impressive and I felt safe and confident with the health decisions we made together. I of course could say some pretty Horrible Things about some of the treatment i revived there in the past. (( half my fault half their fault to be fair lol)) I Also can say that i wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for this place!! I mean. I still don't like all the staff, but you're not going to every place you go. But for what's actually available in lansing this place Deserves more credit than it gets. Yeah, it might be a little understaffed at times, And with such an influx of people going there now. Sometimes there is it pretty annoying wait to dose but really we all know things could be way worse. By no means, am I saying that it's perfect, but i am saying that if u want it to work they will do everything to support you along the way. ◇Shout out◇ to ☆nurse-nikki☆ it really meant alot to me that u brought up doin the cows and told me my next up date..... I went to rainbow in highland park, the Brighton center in Brighton, and this place is a night and day difference from the trauma I endured from other centers. I actually had an issue with a former PRC and they actually let them go for not being professional. My anxiety was completely out of control and I was spiraling. The first couple of days were tough. I sat through group therapy and wasn't sure that I should be there. My problems seemed minor compared to others. On day three, I realized I was exactly where I needed to be. I learned skills to deal with my stress. The staff was very supportive. The Psychiatrist was able to get find a very helpful combination of medications. I feel so much better and am so happy to have attended the program. I haven't had a panic attack in over two months! Of course I hate that I have to drug test twice a week and do the groups and one on one meetings because it really messes with my job and I lose a lot of hrs every week but I put myself in the position that I'm in so no one to blame but myself. It would be nice if they could work around your job schedule better when it comes to groups and the one on one meetings! That's my only complaint!! My anxiety was completely out of control and I was spiraling. The first couple of days were tough. I sat through group therapy and wasn't sure that I should be there. My problems seemed minor compared to others. On day three, I realized I was exactly where I needed to be. I learned skills to deal with my stress. The staff was very supportive. The Psychiatrist was able to get find a very helpful combination of medications. I feel so much better and am so happy to have attended the program. I haven't had a panic attack in over two months! Jail or the streets were your option so remember that these people are getting paid very little yet choose to work here because most of them do care but there are thinhs called HIPPA laws etc and so that takes a toll on certain aspects of how they have to structure thier program. This is the place you want to be, if you want to recover. It's clean, classes are phenomenal, nurses, doctors, therapists, milieu techs, med techs, environmental services, everyone is great. Aftercare here is also wonderful. Update: they are wonderful until you need them again. I called yesterday, they were suppose to call back. I haven't been there for 3yrs. I needed help. Today no response. Tried calling back, no response. I had been seeing a therapist after she quit there. She only had terrible things to say about the place that they weren't up to updated treatments. I was not an attendee, simply a support person for a friend who decided to cut his stay short, but here is what I can say from being a person limited on the outside. 1.) The amount of ability they give to allow for the family member to contact their loved ones is great! I was astounded by the high allowances of connection they give to those who are admitted. It's a huge plus, which is shocking but greatly appreciated. 2.) Every person there was kind but committed. I got the vibe that they were there to do a job, and do it well, but without being rude. I could tell there was compassion here for the people they take in. 3.) They have rules that are relatively strict, as is true of most rehab facilities. 4.) They were clean, and offered as many amenities as they could given that insurance covers those who stay there. It does feel hospital-ey, but it is owned by a hospital, so no real major un-expectations there. MY ONLY COMPLAINT: the heat and A/C in the building seems to be lacking. It seems the facility is well worn, and could use a re-up. It gets hot in there in the summertime, and I can imagine it would be difficult for me to sleep there. Apart from that, I have zero complaints. I feel this team of people did the best they could given the circumstances, and I appreciate their dedication to their jobs.
