I think it's a good place and I think they do want to help the problem is when they get upset with you they don't care about your job they just tell you that we'll just find another job to work with us and that can hurt people really bad and throw them into a spin they have to be able to work with people that have jobs when I was going there they got mad at me because I missed a class by mistake and accident and then they switched my time to be in there at 4:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I was working in Detroit by the time I got down there to work I had to leave by 2:00 because of traffic it really hurt me now someone else is in there I know and they have them set up at 10:00 in the morning he works with me and it completely messes the whole day up when he could do it in the evening but it's what only satisfies the owner so do they really care I don't know you answer it

I feel for the most part all the staff are pretty laid back, I get along with all of them, it seems pretty professional to me! Of course I hate that I have to drug test twice a week and do the groups and one on one meetings because it really messes with my job and I lose a lot of hrs every week but I put myself in the position that I'm in so no one to blame but myself. It would be nice if they could work around your job schedule better when it comes to groups and the one on one meetings! That's my only complaint!!

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient programs are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare. They offer an eight weeks program. During the first four weeks they arrange group meetings twice a week, and for the last four weeks, an individual session is required weekly

inpatient iconInpatient

Clients in inpatient rehab reside at the treatment facility while engaging in intensive daily treatment. Inpatient care is primarily designed for clients leaving detox, those in early recovery, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Clients participate in intensive addiction counseling, which may include group and family therapy as well as one-on-one sessions. Recovery-focused life skills training is also often prioritized. Many inpatient rehabs offer evidence-based complementary therapies, such as yoga, meditation, art therapy, and animal therapy.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Clients engaged in a rehab aftercare program have already completed high-level treatment and have begun to develop essential recovery skills. Rehab aftercare services are designed to support clients' sustained sobriety as they reintegrate into their home, workplace, and community. Case managers, care teams, and clients design the customized service portfolio that will best support the client's long-term sobriety. Clients may receive peer coaching, 12 step program induction, vocational training, and relapse prevention services.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Michigan provides personalized treatment to help individuals break this cycle and regain control of their lives. Treatment methods are used in various levels of care, including inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient treatment.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
military-program thumbnail image

Military Program

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Michigan helps participants view challenges more clearly so they can respond to them in healthy ways. During a limited number of structured sessions, clients learn about and practice these changes to effectively address substance use and mental health disorders.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

I wouldn’t test your life with these people. I wouldn’t do a drug test at all here don’t even bother give them the money to help them. Keep there business. Up… I called super early. They didn’t answer it so I waited and I called at 9am She said that I have to wait until 4pm because they already did all the drug testing at 9 AM. She was very rude over the phone and I could see why the ratings are low. They were not helpful whatsoever This is my first time trying to figure out where I have to take a drug test.

I have been testing at this facility once a week for over six years. In the beginning it was ok. Very standard. Very routine. The last three years however have been awful, the staff in general are absolutely rotten to deal with, it’s cash only which in 2024 is a massive red flag. If you have the ability to choose a different facility to test at and receive your services at THAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR, I highly recommend that you do it.

Be prepared to be treated very poorly Be prepared to be sworn at, belittled and yelled at Be prepared to navigate 19 steps to get to testing area (non ADA compliance) Be prepared to be treated like you have no choice ( reality has a built in clientele via EATON COUNTY; etc) And since they have a steady built in clientele, they have ZERO reason to change. If anyone falls down their 15 steps…PLEASE CALL YOUR ATTORNEY AND SUE. Give them a detailed report from your attorney…something they can read about This hovel should be SHUT DOWN The staff is beyond RUDE BEYOND RUDE AND CONDESCENDING DONT GO. MY ADVICE COMPLAIN, STAND UP FOR YOURSELF. REFUSE TO USE THEIR JUNK SERVICES ( drop tests, vastly sub par counseling CALL AND COMPLAIN And just in case you find yourself in this trap … you can choose to go to another facility that does the same testing I forget the name, but there is a place on WAVERLY Road across from Burger King , the staff is polite, non-condescending, non-angry. REFUSE to go to reality The CHARLOTTE office or the LANSING office (both equally terrible) and your vehicle will most likely be broken into and you may very possibly be assaulted by their great clientele or staff The reason why you refuse to go to reality Number one . The 15 steps you have to navigate. If you have any any any sort of leg back neck, ankle foot issues simply refused to navigate their stairs. Number two The staffs openly hostile and disrespectful acts Refuse to go Go to the place on WAVERLY Road across from Burger King Save yourself a whole lot of headaches , being disrespected, And having to urinate with the door open (male and female) in a random hallway with people walking by. The only thing keeping randoms from seeing you sitting on the toilet ladies , is 150 pound female acting like a Supreme Court Justice The only thing keeping the men from being seen urinating is a 300 pound purported X police officer, with so much hair product a simple cigarette would like the man on fire. I personally believe It’s due to a lack of time in the shower The facilities are junk The staff is horrendous Even if you have already been to Project reality SWITCH PLACES…. COMPLAIN…… stand up for yourself.

This place is a joke, they are very rude to everyone. Lady who answers the phone acts like my husband is stupid. She yelled at him for not calling when he arrived but knocked on the door.. well maybe instead of having one language sign up you have different signs up in different languages. It might help you guys out a lot more. The lady who always her the older lady gray hair short woman, needs to learn how to treat others. If she hates her job maybe it’s time to retire. I have to give 1 star since it won’t allow me to do zero. But this place is a zero stars all around. First the cancel his appointment and told him some excuses drove by and their still open. Smh 🤦‍♀️ this place I swear needs new people:

The REGULAR staff are fun wonderful people. But should they not come to work, it's a NIGHTMARE!! The owner is too horrible to even talk about! Apparently there are two owners and I have only had the displeasure of speaking to one of them. She not only sent me away because I was following what the normal staff have instructed me to do, but then she swore and cussed out a friend of mine called the cops on us because we refused to allow her to speak to us in such a manner. Not that we did anything other than ask if she was going to allow us to drop. This is the most utilized company for our court system, of course I expected different, and so did the cops that tried their best to assist us. Kudos to the two officers that showed up! As for the results, she was believed and we were deemed liars by probation. This woman cost us quite a bit because she can't hold her childish temper.

What a joke this place is. They belittle people in front of the whole group. The counselor Dave does nothing but brag about himself. I don’t know what Cracker Jack college he got his degree from but he should be ashamed. You are there to counsel people not make them feel small. My son went and we paid up front he dropped dirty which would have been because he just got sent there by the court. Kicked him out and did not return the money. I have friends that go there and he yells at them in front of the other classmates. The courts should be ashamed using this place.

The only 'reality' about this 'Reality Counseling' business scam is that is a money making business put into play by the Michigan Court system. They do not care about you, other than for your money. They preach against addiction, yet some of them smoke cigarettes, and some are fat and cannot control their own eating habits. Hypocrisy if you ask me. They are unprofessional, rude, and offensive. But keep in mind, this place is a part of your punishment for enjoying life, all part of the Michigan Legal System...for the most part, the USA Legal System. My suggestion, follow the unfair guidelines of your probation, and then get back to enjoying your life. Reality Counseling is an absolutely rotten place. Avoid it if you can.
