Great hospital, had my 2nd child here. I was fed well and was taken care of. Nurse Ashley stood out the most for me as my nurse, although all of them were amazing.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehab programs enable clients to integrate addiction treatment with their routine work and home life. Many facilities offer virtual services and evening, night, and weekend sessions to accommodate clients' schedules. Outpatient care typically includes rigorous psychotherapy, including group and family counseling. Most programs also prioritize addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is common for clients with alcohol and/or opioid dependency.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Clients often choose to enter intensive outpatient programs (IOP) when they exit inpatient rehab. Others turn to IOP as an alternative to hospitalization. Intensive outpatient rehabs offer high-level care for clients in early recovery and those at an elevated risk of relapse, typically requiring them to commit to between nine and 20 hours of treatment per week. The most prevalent treatment modalities include psychotherapy, recovery education, medication assisted treatment (MAT), and holistic therapies, such as meditation.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Each sober living home in Utah is a residence, not a treatment center. This setting does not provide clinical or medical treatment, but many residents attend recovery groups or outpatient rehab while staying at the home. The setting, also called a halfway house, offers a balance between structure and accountability and living in the "real world," to help people transition from treatment to everyday life.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
If your friend or family member is suffering physically or psychologically from substance use but denies there is a problem, it might be time for a drug intervention in Utah. This process involves meeting with an intervention specialist from a facility's intervention services program. This specialist will interview family members to gain an understanding of the situation, then facilitate the intervention. Their expertise can prove invaluable in navigating this complex confrontation.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
In order to ensure your safety during the withdrawal process, rehabs offer 24-hour clinical care in Utah. You have access to experienced medical staff around the clock, and they can adminsiter treatments or perform clincial interventions that lessen withdrawal symptoms and make you more comfortable. Teatments can include medications, nutritional supplements, and mental health counseling.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Medical detox is the safest way to remove addictive substances from your body under the care of medical professionals. In an inpatient environment, you'll be monitored 24/7 by doctors, nurses, and clinical experts, who will help keep you as safe and comfortable as possible and administer medication if needed to treat any withdrawal symptoms. The process may take up to a week or longer depending on your needs, and is often at least partially covered by insurance.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The foundation of motivational interviewing in Utah rests on four pillars: partnership, evocation, acceptance, and compassion. The therapist collaborates with the client, encouraging them to explore their options and make informed decisions about making changes in their lives.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Active addiction can quickly lead to malnutrition. This makes recovery even harder because your body doesn't have the nutrients it needs to function. During nutrition therapy, you'll learn about the effects of substance use on the body, how food can help your mental health, and how to maintain a nutritious diet.

Recreational therapy helps you in your addiction recovery program by improving your overall well being. Activities can include sports, music, and nature excursions that give you positive experiences, reduce your cravings, and offer the opportunity to reduce your stress. These aid in your addiction recovery.

Specialists trained in creative arts therapy can incorporate methods such as art, music, and writing therapy in your treatment program. These expressive methods may be combined with psychodynamic therapy and mindfulness based approaches.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Do anything you can to avoid Lakeview. They have the worst service and they are deceptive with their fees. We waited in the ER for hours while the rest of the rooms were empty. The doctors and nurses were out there socializing. When they finally gave us information it made no sense. I asked for evidence and they made us wait for another hour, showed us the x-ray and nothing was there. They treated me like an idiot and did nothing for my son. I followed I tractions and took him to a specialist where they confirmed that the information we were given was incorrect. I disputed the bill and found that they were completely unethical. It was a horrible experience. We’ve been back multiple times and all experience have been horrible. I’m so disappointed with them. If you get stuck using them. Review your bill. There will likely be unethical charges. And you should report them to your insurance provider.

When you walk into the Bountiful ER you're greeted by a huge sign cautioning patients to "visit responsibly"with the warning that all forms of aggression will result in expulsion from the facility and may result in criminal prosecution. Okay? Weird way to greet patients, but whatever. The problem is, the attitude that their patients are the enemy is apparently policy in the ER. I've been three times - never seeking pain meds - and every time it feels like walking into the house of someone who hates your guts. They are rude, dismissive, and treat everything you say likea bald-faced lie. Look - I'm in medical distress, I need your help, and I don't want pain meds, so what possible motivation could I have to lie to you?? I'm never going back to this hospital and I strongly suggest you plan ahead so you know where to find an ER where you'll be seen and treated as a human being, because this isn't it.

My husband was referred here by an urgent care for an emergency CT scan. We were told that they sent all his information to Lakeview and they would be expecting us. We arrived and no one knew he was coming. The PA, Kyle Nicks seemed to be completely disinterested in anything my husband tried to say and said that he didn't feel like he needed a CT scan. He then wanted to do blood work and I said that the urgent care had sent it over but I will call them and have thenlm send it again. The nurse at the other urgent care said he gave verbal report to someone at Lakeview and offered to send thr blood work but they refused. The nurse l from urgent care asked if I would let him speak to the nurse or provider there but the PA refused to speak with him. None of the staff were particularly friendlt and all seemed to hate their job. I was not impressed by the incompetence demonstrated by the staff and will never be returning again.

Great hospital, staff, and facility. We had both of our children here and have had a few unfortunate visits to the ER. Each time they got us in quickly and able to see a medical professional within a few minutes. Very friendly staff. We are blessed to have them in our community.

I’ve been to this hospital twice in a week. Both were great experiences. The first was for an MRI. The staff was quick and efficient and provided me the necessary information I needed. The second was for an ER visit. There was no wait and they got me back and treated very quickly. They worked with my doctor on an up coming procedure to ensure I didn’t get any meds that would affect it. My ONLY complaint is not being able to get my MRI on disc as many of the other providers I am seeing have asked for a disc.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Thank you for the positive feedback. We appreciate the kind words.

Terrible communication, waited 20 minutes to use the bathroom, never got lab results or MRI results. ER staff was short tempered and doctor didn’t seem to care at all.

Appointment times don't mean anything. You go here to check in, and wait. Then you go there and check in some more, and wait. Then, you go somewhere else and wait some more. Sooner or later, you finally get to where you're supposed to be and get your procedure. People are all extremely friendly, nice, and helpful, though. It's just the bureaucracy.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the wait time you experienced and are continuously working to improve our processes. Please feel free to contact our office directly at 801-299-2527 if you'd like to share more details.
