About Landmark Recovery of Denver

Medication assisted treatment utilizes FDA-approved medications including suboxone to help your body safely wean off its chemical dependency. Their treatment is followed up by mediation management to help your body continue through detoxification.

As you exit detox, you’ll have the option to start your journey to sobriety through inpatient rehab. You’ll be supported through round-the-clock care, learn coping strategies, and move through an individualized treatment plan. Recovery plans include individual and group counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and support meetings that follow the 12 Step model.

For some individuals who don’t need to stay overnight, the partial hospitalization program or outpatient rehab may be a better fit. You’ll have access to similar treatments offered in a more flexible setting.

Landmark Recovery also offers a specialized treatment program for military service men and women. They have partnered with the Veterans Administration to provide specialized treatment to military members whose substance use disorder is rooted in trauma.

If you’re ready for normalized suffering landmark is the place! A very lucrative Medicaid scam to say the least! If you go into recovery don’t expect ANY PHONE CALLS. or your phone at all in landmark rehabilitation. Or “Sheridan grove” even after their so called “black out period.” you’ll use the phone MAYBE once a week. you’ll have no outside support system! Living quarters are filthy. Black mold in the bathroom’s. Huge spiders EVERYWHERE. Theft in the “pod’s” every single day. 1 main tv. You have to fight to share. No individual tv’s in room’s, no food or snacks in pod’s available. besides the 3 processed meals a day! The Staff & nurses are extremely rude. It’s just an extremely outdated rehabilitation center. they don’t think basic needs are a priority. You do no outside activities. No recreational activities. Deodorant causes rashes. Under staffed. You will not feel like a priority while you’re there. & the Med situation is extremely disorganized. there should be a lawsuit. How this place is running still is beyond me. Employees & nurses smell like marijuana. Can’t do laundry the Washer & dryer are broken. No laundry detergent. Fights over coffee. You would think at $1300.00 per day per person they bill Medicaid some of these basic things would be covered. I personally wrote a letter to the director during my stay at landmark about my concern’s & Nothing was addressed.

I came to Landmark Recovery in Aurora feeling hopeless and broken. From day one, the staff treated me with kindness and respect, but I have to give special recognition to my case manager, Lea. She went above and beyond for me every single day. Without her, I honestly don’t think I would have made it. She made sure I got to the methadone clinic, checked in on me constantly, and never let me give up on myself. The therapists, nurses, and support team were all amazing, but Lea truly changed my life. The program didn’t just help me get sober—it taught me how to live again. I left with hope, confidence, and a plan for my future. I will forever be grateful to Landmark, and especially to Lea, for giving me my life back.

Accepted Insurance

Please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Landmark Recovery of Denver works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient rehabs offer a wide variety of services and levels of care to align with clients' unique and evolving needs. Outpatient care is best suited for clients who are stable and for those who wish to remain at home while receiving treatment. Clients typically receive addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training, including participating in evening, night, and weekend sessions to accommodate clients' schedules. Clients at an increased relapse risk may receive more frequent and intensive treatment.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Clients engaged in a rehab aftercare program have completed active addiction treatment and are receiving services designed to promote their sustained sobriety. Drug rehab aftercare typically encompasses a wide variety of medical, mental health, and social services meant to facilitate clients' reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Clients typically collaborate with their case manager and/or recovery team to identify and access the services they need, often including peer coaching, career counseling, and care referrals.

Addiction recovery based on a 12 step program model is rooted in peer support and spiritual development. Participants regularly attend 12 step meetings, which are free, anonymous, peer-led, and available throughout the day and night in most communities. Clients' recovery is achieved progressively as they work through the 12 steps, which teach them to understand and address the root causes of their addiction, become accountable for their choices, and relinquish control over that which cannot be changed.

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

During trauma therapy, you explore the impact that a traumatic event has had on your life. Your therapist can help you develop strategies to manage the emotional and physical symptoms while improving emotional regulation. This improves your overall quality of life.

Based on the couple's needs, couples therapy may take different forms. Your therapist will probably take an integrated approach, using techniques from several methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic couple's therapy. The goal is to work through challenges and strengthen your relationship.

During family therapy sessions, family members in Colorado work with therapists to understand addiction as a disease that has affected the entire family. This approach fosters empathy and reduces blame on any one member. Promoting this collective effort helps to support the recovery process.

This, unfortunately, was the worst treatment center I have encountered-as a patient and as a program manager in previous ones. The front-line staff were often harsh, impersonal, and inconsistent-at best. They allowed me to walk in with my black shoulder bag, without searching it, which-fortuntely-did not have anything terrible in it but did contain various items with my personal information on them. I had it in my drawer for 5 days, and then my room was searched. The PES who confiscated it told me she'd place it in my personal belongings, but she obviously didn't or log it in my inventory. She said she'd find it the morning I left, but she failed before I left, and she promised me she'd find it. I contacted Landmark 4 times over the next week after discharge, with no response. I had to involve the police, who determined it a civil matter. Apparently, the director will call me soon so we can discuss it. If the matter is not resolved, my next step is the local media because I am not alone in this experience.
