The staff are warm and helpful, I was not feeling good at all when I came in, but I ended up feeling much better then I came in after treatment.Transgenders: you may have to argue with them over the wrist band misgendering you even if you have it legally changed on your drivers license. However, not once was I misgendered by staff, thank you so much pavilion staff! Much to my healing they don't have a female and male "side" either, so you don't have to worry about getting a room on a male or female side of the building. With the psychiatrists, one completely dismissed me, the other helped me, you definitely have to be your own advocate and sometimes that isn't enough if you get the wrong psychiatrist. Fortunately they switch out psychiatrists and I got the help I needed.Even the security guard forgave me after I stepped to him as if to fight after losing my mind over the bad psychiatrist. He desculated the situation immediately with words, and I am so beside myself with disbelief that I could do such a thing, yet he forgave me and asked about my progress. Very caring. They do groups very often and have their own recreational therapist even. I get sensory overload very easy, but the groups were chill and well ran. The cafeteria is small and quiet.Even with the one bad psychiatrist I still give them 5/5 overall, in my experience they all care very much about their job and patients.

They put me in a wheelchair by giving me antipsychotic drugs by forced injection if i would not swallow willingly. I have myasthenia gravis and am not supposed to take those kinds of drugs. So they caused me not to be able to walk, then sent me to neuromuscular Physical Therapy then charged my insurance company thousands of dollars. They are not ADA compliant, and the place is for milking your insurance company and keeping you as long as they can. I notified my insurance company to dispute the charges. I could go on but don't put your loved ones here...you will regret it, and they will milk the system. Nothing but a bunch of cash cows with a license.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Ridding the body of harmful, addictive substances, also known as detoxification, is usually the first phase of recovery. Those going through medically assisted detox can be administered medications by a team of medical professionals who are on-site 24/7 to provide different types of therapies that help mitigate withdrawal symptoms.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Florida consists of individual therapy and group instruction. This structured program is a form of psychotherapy that incorporates the development of skills for managing emotions and relationships.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

During couples therapy in Florida, your therapist will take steps to get to know you, help you identify feelings, explore the past, develop solutions, and help you learn skills to manage relationship challenges. This process will allow you to work through conflict and strengthen your relationship.

During family therapy sessions, you navigate the complexities of addiction and are provided tools to help improve communication and resolve conflicts. When you work together, families can better support their loved one's recovery and restore balance and harmony within the household.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

One benefit of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) in Florida is variety. NRT comes in multiple forms that you can use in different ways. This allows you to choose the form that works best with your needs and lifestyle. Your options include gum, patches, inhalers, and prescription medication.

These people almost killed me and if it wasn't for my mother coming to visit me and seeing me hallucinating and overdosing, passing out at the table with her, they probably would have just let me overdose and die. they put me on a medication that intensified another medication that I take already, and for days I walked around hallucinating passing out doing very strange things in my sleep completely scaring all of the other patients and all they did was tell me Ashley youre just seeing things, go to bed. They ended up having to transport me to the hospital, they lost me and told my mom they didn't know where I was, so they sent me to the hospital and lost me, found me again, and then switched up doctors on me who had a completely different opinion than the other one and they made me stay there because of that for weeks on end for their neglect and mistakes. my mental health really didn't improve at all to be honest with you I just was ready to get out of there. And yes staff are very neglectful reluctant to give you anything there is not anything to do so you're driving yourself crazy so be careful if you go here

This is not a place any patient should go if actually given a choice. You will leave so much worse than when you arrived. There is no "care" to be had here.

Some staff are cool, but they don’t make up for the staff that don’t care about you at all. I was dieing in there feeling sooo ill and they kept saying it’s cuz of alcohol withdrawal. I drink like 3 times a year so after the 5th time they said that I got heated. The finally listened and tested me for some stuff and turned out I had Covid. Before that I could barely get an ibuprofen and when I told them how bad I was hurting. They would say well we gotta call the doctor and I would answer ok could you please so it can be ready later. And half of the time they didn’t even respond to that. (Especially the black male nurse.)He is doing bare minimum. Many of the female staff are better. But it just feels like it’s hard to be heard. And they tell you what you wanna hear or half truths to keep you calm untill You discharge and you see things are not quite what you expected. I left there just as bad if not worse mentally. And security will definitely let a looney bite a chunk out of you before they get involved, no doubt,. They just aren’t that on top of it so make sure you protect yourself. There were mutiple unstable clients that threatened staff and other clients that were still aloud to roam around the community under a loose watch to the point where altercation could have definitely arrised. I am disappointed in pavilion. Worse psych facility I’ve been to in Florida or Ohio.
