I have been speaking with Joseph who has been amazing at explaining every step and detail of the process to me as well as what to expect. The staff seems from where I am standing to be incredibly supportive and greatfor someone transitioning from the addict lifestyle to a healthy lifestyle as well as I hate the wording of that but not sure what better words to use.The facility looks cozy enough so an inpatient program would be successful for a man who wants this in his life. The tools to recreate new habits seem to be ready to be placed in the hands of the willing as long as the program is really and truly what it is put on as.

I’ve been pleased with the VA team all around. From my CBOC team, the many diagnostic departments and to my specialty care at the medical center, all expectations exceeded. The staff is genuinely caring and patient centered. After serving in the military for 30 years, I am grateful for the VA. There are way too many people to thank, but I recently had an excellent experience with the cardiac catheterization department; Nancy, John, Jessie, Alex, Karen, Craig, Dr. Patel and Dr. Silva-Kumar. I was up staying with my family during the memorial holiday weekend. I was a guest doser. I had made prior arrangements made through my home clinic. I was very pleased 😀 with how I was treated and welcomed as if I were a regular patient. Hats off to the crew that works there. I can only imagine what types you may have to deal with since I used to live in Cocoa back in the 70s. Bless you all and thank you for making me feel right at home.

Though I have read thru several reviews, my experience with this facility was positive. My loved one has a dual diagnosis: an addiction and a mental health condition. The staff at CC offered encouragement and much needed support. My loved one went in voluntarily for a three to five day detox then a twenty eight day rehabilitation for his addiction. The road to recovery is difficult, the battle is real. The staff at CC could use some positive energy. Their work demands much care and dedication as they take care of our loved ones. #thankful

My girlfriend went in there with a severe mental episode, but came out back to normal. Whatever they did, it worked. I see the tons of bad reviews, and I get it. They could do with a smidge of empathy and courtesy, but you just have to trust them.

Obviously the character arguing in an anger management program has problems. As for the man putting down someone as I have said, “ Cassandra” works harder then most only trying to help. The main Psychiatrist did not read my file before speaking to me. Did not know I was pregnant. Coming from the hospital one would think that would be something they would look at. The Nurse Practitioner was not clear in wanting to supplement what I was already on. I informed them, "why would i change medications when Ive been on the current one for years, through all my pregnancies, was apart of research study for it and it works". Leading to confusion with Psychiatrist. Overall most women in care were dealing with hormone changes, the care was inadequate. Being put on medication previously on, some women informed it did not work. It was suggested at first I "try", go back on, the medication that put me there in the first place. I was not seen as a person, patient, but another body to "medicate". The fact many have trauma was not considered. What was seen as "unstable" needing "involuntary care" were women going through recent child loss pregnancy, menopause, and pregnancy itself. That plus trauma many have encountered, this place had no sensitivity for, I explained my stressors, need for a medication for my heart condition and it was as though I never spoke. I was informed what was going to happen, after the psychiatrist remembered I was pregnant, and decided on a third medication after naming two before it, then he googled if it was safe with pregnancy. This was not our first encounter. He forgot? Didnt update himself on my chart? Before sitting down with me to prescribe me "something to help". This is EXTREMELY concerning. The lack of time to decompress, away from people (having our room available) was horrendous. For almost 7 days, I was around 10+ people in a small room for over 12 hours. Then shared a room with someone to sleep. This left zero space to recharge from over stimulation. And made adequate rest next to impossible to achieve. The body heals in sleep, brain processes. I can understand being checked on, but the lack of space away from other patients was inhumane.
