About Central Florida Treatment Centers – Palm Bay

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is used in order to reduce the intensity of withdrawal symptoms and cravings. The medications used at this clinic include methadone, suboxone, and Vivitrol, which can help release that grip that addiction may have on the patients. They aim to make you healthy mentally, physically, emotionally, and even spiritually.

They have a board-certified medical director, medical doctors, and top-notch staff to guide you on your journey. All your programs will take place in the presence of medical professionals who can supervise and guide them every step of the way.

The counseling options at this clinic include individual counseling, group counseling, and family counseling. Individual counseling is important because it lets you speak directly with a therapist and share your story, giving you insight into your situation in ways you never would have imagined on your own. Despite it being called individual therapy, it’s still a group effort.

Group therapy, though, lets you meet others who can relate to you and help keep you accountable. You’ll have a network who’ll stay with you even after you graduate from their program.

If your situation is so severe that you require residential treatment, I don’t believe that that service is offered here. For acute cases, they may provide a referral to a specialized treatment program.

If your using everyday this is better but if you can get on subs i highly recommend this instead. You'll do great here and then all of a sudden they'll say you failed a ua when you know it's impossible but don't matter if you have years of clean uas they automatically throw you under the bus. If you can find any other way to quit do that 1st!!

I’ve been going here for over 4 years and my counselor was initially very difficult to deal with. Since things have changed for the better thanks Tiffany and I now get my 2 weeks of take homes as I should. I hope to continue treatment. Methadone has an unnecessary stigma and is a recommended option for help with pain management or withdrawal symptoms.

Accepted Insurance

Central Florida Treatment Centers – Palm Bay works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

12-step icon12-Step

12 step programs support recovery through emotional, psychological, and spiritual development to address the root causes of addiction. These programs are peer directed, with participants regularly attending 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, and accessible day and night, year-round. Recovery is based on "working the steps" to understand the source of addiction, take accountability for one's life choices, and relinquish control for that which cannot be changed. Age-specific, gender-separate, and other specialized programs are widely available.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image

LGBTQ Program

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Therapists who apply cognitive behavioral therapy in Florida believe patient thoughts and behaviors are closely linked. They use this treatment method to help clients change their thought patterns so they can also change behaviors and break free from substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Florida consists of individual therapy and group instruction. This structured program is a form of psychotherapy that incorporates the development of skills for managing emotions and relationships.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Individual therapy often includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This is a structured approach to identifying and changing negative thought patterns. During therapy you learn how what you think drives your actions so you can develop healthier coping strategies to manage addiction triggers and reduce drug use.

As a short term therapeutic method, motivational interviewing in Florida requires only a couple of sessions. During these sessions, you'll have the opportunity to talk about your circumstances and any discrepancies between your current situation and future goals. You'll then decide for yourself what changes you want to make.

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

During couples therapy in Florida, your therapist will take steps to get to know you, help you identify feelings, explore the past, develop solutions, and help you learn skills to manage relationship challenges. This process will allow you to work through conflict and strengthen your relationship.

During family therapy sessions, you navigate the complexities of addiction and are provided tools to help improve communication and resolve conflicts. When you work together, families can better support their loved one's recovery and restore balance and harmony within the household.

I am a longtime methadone patient. If it weren't for these kinds of programs, I probably wouldn't be here to write this today. I am forever grateful to all who work at this facility. With that said, I wish they would do more to accommodate those who have unusual jobs or those who must travel with extremely short notice. I informed them of this and they at first said it wasn't a problem. However, when the time came, they wouldn't help me. I was over 24 hours late to my job site. Thankfully, I'm the team supervisor so I have some leeway or I would've lost this job. Anyway, other than that, this is an excellent treatment center. Kind and caring staff, clean facilities and various programs make it one of the best clinics I've been to. Over a decade of sobriety and with this clinic, there will be many more sober years ahead of me. Thank you!

When you struggle with addiction and often feel ashamed, alone, and incapable of living a life you’re proud of, central Florida treatment center in Palm Bay treats you the opposite. From Maureen, who remembers your name from your first day forward, to the nurses who always make you feel important and cared for, but most of all- it’s my individual counselor and the program director who really seal the deal of five stars. Connecting with a counselor/ therapist is not always easy, but from the moment I met Monique, I immediately felt like I could share my struggles in a trusting, safe, supportive environment. I think she’s the absolute coolest, and she has always gone above and beyond make sure my needs are met, celebrate in my successes, and problem solve with me when I’m struggling. I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to work with her on my goals and looking at myself as more than an addict. The program director, Tiffany’s door is always open. She’s direct, while still being kind and is an enforcer of the program rules, while maintaining compassion. She did something for me recently that I never expected her to take on herself, realized the importance of sending me records off, and did it immediately while cc’ing me in all documentation sent. The gratitude I feel for Tiffany and all she had done for any patient that asks, is insurmountable. If you want to change your life and are willing to do the work, I truly believe this is the best place to turn when you finally make that decision to change your life. There’s nothing any staff member won’t do for you. They set the standard for clinics, and I’ve been to multiple where I couldn’t think of a positive word to say. THANK YOU CENTRAL FLORIDA TREATMENT CENTER OF PALM BAY!

When I left Atlanta 4 yrs. ago, saying goodbye to my counselor and the other staff at Alliance was one of the hardest parts...But I was surprised to find a new group that, for the most part, were equally as good and seemed committed to helping addicts...which isn't the easiest bunch of folks to help !!.. My counselor Cassandra is as great as my Alliance counselor and the nurses are great....BUT.... I am writing this to really brag on someone who has taken such good care of me that I wanted to make sure her bosses heard from a client what a treasure they have in Maureen...She always goes above and beyond to make sure I'm taken care of.....and...as much as I don't want to share her, I know I'm not the only one that she takes such good care of...She keeps things running smoothly when it's complete chaos..but still takes time to make sure I'm taken care of... So...thanks Maureen....I'm so glad you're there to greet me every Friday..!!..CFSATC is lucky to have you!

Response from the owner
Thank you for your comments. We are glad that you are having such a great experience, we will pass this along to the staff. Have a great day and keep working hard!

Absolutely the worst clinic there is in this area They will lie to you they will take advantage of You They do not actually try to help you this clinic actually tries to hurt you. They will actually undermine you They will throw your relapses back in your Face which no clinic should do they should honestly help you if you admit to them you've had to relapse they do not care about your well-being go anywhere but here This clinic succeeds on 20 year plus patients because all they want is your money Update feb.09.2023: finally got a call back from there accreditation samsa or something like that and needless to say they r under review now lol that what happens when u do clients dirty and lie and watch everyone pee like it's weirdo vibes and the nurses aren't the ones requiring it bless there hearts they r just doing what they r told sadly but finally i guess my letters and calls got into someone ear and apparently also there's been a few others calling so thank u lord for listening to ppl and let's just hope they have to answer for their b.s, about time especially since they think they can just do whatever bc we use to be drug addicts, time to pony up ....when ur an ex drug addict u have nothing to lie about and would rather stand on the truth

On behalf of a patient - Why have treatment modifications been allowed to backup for more than one week due to the lack of a doctor at your Palm Bay location? Given you are a for profit organization who grossed $13,100,000 last year, is this your way of increasing your bottom line while ignoring your patient's well being ?
