Edit 11/19/25: While my last procedure was the worst of them (full hysterectomy post op care wise) & that is what this previous review (below) review was originally about…. I’d like to redeem them as I went back for breast cancer reconstructive surgery 11/18 & the lead RN came in to assure me that they have made changes in post-op care. They did, I wasn’t rushed to wake up shaking uncontrollably, chattering jaw, or vomiting & they gave me an oxygen mask right away. I know alot of people get sick coming out, but they finally realized I was a lot more than just that & they didn’t brush it off this time. It was a much smoother recovery room & sent home aware of what was happening & without a puke bag. June 2025: I want to start off with I’ve had multiple surgeries and treatments at Jupiter for miscarriages, I birthed my kids, and went through breast cancer all with amazing care!… I recently had a full hysterectomy in their new building outpatient and had THE ABSOLUTE WORST POST OP CARE EVER! I am known to have trouble coming out of anesthesia: they couldn’t boot me out fast enough. My husband said it was awful, my body shaking, trembling uncontrollably, my jaw wouldn’t stop chattering, I was being forced to wake up with a smell stick, while being put on oxygen because I wasn’t breathing and dry heaving- let’s not forget the extreme pain I was in from just coming out of a major procedure. With all of this just 2 hours after my surgery they couldn’t shove me in wheelchair fast enough with a puke bag and yelling at me to keep my eyes open. When I spoke to my surgeon about this, she was LIVID. It takes a 2 second phone call or text from a nurse to update on a patients condition. NO ONE told my Dr they kicked me out in that shape just 2 hours after a procedure. I was hit with it at all and had the worst few days following that.

The care here is really good.

I entered Headwaters in February of 2022 just a few months after my 60th birthday. I had always believed that rehab and therapy were for weak people. Basically people that were losers. Going to Headwaters proved me wrong. It was a decision that changed my life. Actually, it basically saved my life. The professional approach, the well-trained staff, and the absolute love that you feel from every single person there is what stood out and continues to stand out to this day. I struggled with addictions for more than 30 years. The detox part scared me so much that I held off going to any rehab for at least 5 years. The medical team at Headwaters was there every step of the way during my detox. There was empathy, but there was also the feeling of "do what we say or this will not work." It took a full 2 weeks, but I got through! The counseling, the group therapy, the one-on-one therapy and the well organized daily plan was what I needed. The plan is tailored to what each individual needs, and the people at Headwaters saw it through, even though there were days that I wanted to give up. The people there were not going to let me quit. The support for my family was incredible. My time at Headwaters not only helped me, but there was support to help my wife and children immensely. They had no idea what to expect and Headwaters helped them through. Headwaters saved my marriage, made it better than its ever been, and has helped my relationship with my adult children. The therapy and honest self reflection taught me a better way to communicate with my family. I was at Headwaters for 5 weeks. I have been out 3.5 years. But I think about my time at Headwaters *every* single day. I use the tools that I learned there every day. My spiritual life is back! I have a clear mind! The people of Headwaters are incredible. I go back and see them every year at our alumni gathering. They are my friends now. Many of the alumni are my friends now, too. I communicate almost daily with some of them. And the Alumni Director is an absolute saint to me and my family. Thank you for saving my life. Headwaters, you are family.

Headwaters at Origins gave me the best fresh start to a new sober life. The program was so well-run and organized using many different approaches to sobriety from equine therapy, art therapy to great speakers. I am now living my best life sober! Thank you all the staff at Headwaters. Lisa

This place took me in during the Irma hurricane and I stayed for 45days php. Place saved my life. I'm from Lowell MA and I never felt so comfortable being there. God willing I'll be here in South FL to stay. Thank you Safe harbour recovery treatment center.

Great staff and and therapists who genuinely care about their clients. I had never actually tried to get clean before going to safe harbour and was scared and unsure if I still wanted to do it when I got there. The staff helped talk me through it until I was ready to stay and taught me the tools I needed to be successful before I left. Would definitely recommend to anybody struggling with addiction or alcoholism.

I have personally gone through the program and it was very beneficial. From the clinical staff too the BHT’s they care about your recovery. They have worked with me on major core issues that needed to be looked at. If I were to recommend any treatment center for family or friends it would be Safe Harbour.

One of the best decisions I've made was to make that step to pick up the phone a year ago and made my first appointment with Chaute. She listened and provide the best service for me and my marriage that I am able to apply today. I love how she listens, gives advices and Godly advice at that and she cares. I will definitely continue to make my regular sessions with her as I continueto managing and tackle life changes and stresses. I am really grateful for her services.

I contacted Chaute re: learned behavior my toddler picked up in a former daycare. She listened, digested, and created a plan of action for my kiddo. Within a few days, Chaute was in my son's preschool class observing and using techniques that helped him overcome the negative behavior he had picked up within a matter of a few weeks. We love you Chaute!

The institution is supposed to help people, I hear, but I was at the park nearby.

I was so scared to do my child’s assessment, fearing the results would be horrible! My son scored Great! The center was clean with many toys! Nicole was very patient with my son! She is the reason I felt so comfortable!!! We need more people like her. She took her time and understood my concerns. Definitely great with children. As parents we think these ppl will label our kids and its not true! They are there to help. My son is grateful for the free toys and books!! Thanks again Nicole!

Friendly helpful staff.

Being in therapy saved my life. I truly get a lot out of every session. I love learning. I have changed drastically in a positive way. It’s like wearing a tool belt and having that tool readily accessible. Having the knowledge to calm myself with a familiar pattern is helpful. I know what to do if my depression starts creeping in on me for example. I don’t sit in a funk as long as I used to and most of the time I know how to get out of it. Pilar is a wonderful person to put your trust in and start your healing journey.

I have been seeing Pilar Gutierrez weekly for about six months now and I am extremely thankful to have her in my corner. I chose to work with Pilar because she has years of experience and impressive credentials. I have worked with a handful of therapists in the past, each unique and helpful in her own way, but I feel that the support and guidance that I receive from Pilar is exactly what I need at this point in my life. I work in an extremely high-pressure field and am navigating through years of trauma experienced in my intimate relationships. Pilar creates a respectful and safe space for these conversations and in a short period of time has helped me to make substantial positive changes (both emotional and physical) in my daily routine and life overall. 1st and only time in treatment and pbrc was much more than I expected , staff was amazing and I made friends I still talk to from 2023 , im glad to see that they got the new addition complete to help more in need

I was at PBRC in 2022. This was my first and only time in a detox center, after 16 years of a severe drug and alcohol addiction. The staff made the entire process extremely easy and comfortable. I was treated with respect and compassion. The accommodations were top tier. The group facilitators were knowledgeable and many (if not all) had first hand experience with addiction and long term recovery. There was open access to a variety food and drinks options. The meals were prepared by an onsite chef. There were several times when the owners ordered takeout from various restaurants. I was introduced to recovery techniques that I still use today. The owners were onsite more often than I expected, interacted with clients and were genuinely interested and concerned with the progress of our recovery. If it had not been for the wonderful people of PBRC and the high quality recovery environment I would likely have not made it the 1,402 ( and counting ) days into sobriety and been able to rebuild my life. I have the deepest gratitude and utmost respect for these people. I would recommend PBRC to anyone that is struggling and wanting to get clean/sober. -Dan, I love you brother.
