At first talking to the person that got me in made it aeem like this place was a god send. Told me up and down i would feel comfortable which was a total lie. They sent me to this place called rise cause I was to high on methadone. They do infusions and they swear up and down this is the only way you can get off of it but dud nothing for me on my benzos ive been taking prescribed for over 5 years. Come to find out it totaly screwed my body up also this pkace spoke on my behalf about my symptoms. This was the first part of my horrible experience. Then I got to MTR. Super friendly at first which was cool but I was still withdrawing. They instantly gave me suboxone which I was told I wouldn't get or get to choose between that or subutex(which is better for methadone withdrawal imo). Everyone got to see the doctor except me to tell him what's going on with me. Everyday I was there I was pleading with them to give my my anxiety medication cause I haven't eaten or slept in 4 days, my jaw was jittery I was shaking and sweating. And they didn't care. All they did was email the doctor. So finally the doctor responded after 24 hrs to see me the next day now that's 72 hours I haven't seen the doctor. I tell him I'm on fire inside my body and I feel like I'm laying on a bed of needles and told him about my meds I've been taking. So the doctor tells me we are gonna get you right. Come to find out he prescribed me the lowest dose of phenobarbital and lowest dose of seroquel. I don't take barbituates I take benzos. They aren't used for benzo withdrawal. Alcohol and prevention of seizures which I dont have. I kept begging them I needed my meds so I could eat and sleep. I left after all those pills he prescribed me did nothing at all. But at these meth heads and Crack heads are getting Valium and klonopin. And I'm in bed crying cause I can't sleep and eat wuth my mind racing all night. On top of that when I first got there they put me where I was straight going to groups instead of the 10 day detox they promise you. Also they charged my insurance for 9 days when I was there for 4. Place is only good if you smoke meth, Crack, drink alcohol.

This place seems unique and willing to help you. Until you depart. Then you're not able to get your belongings. They limit the amount of time you have to retrieve any items left. I request a contact for my Dr to reach out to. I cannot go without my psych meds. That cannot be legal? Not to mention the patients, criminal activity and it's not being reported? That cannot be safe. Be cautious.

Accepted Insurance

More Than Rehab works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are based on a model of continuing care and the premise that recovery is a life-long process requiring ongoing client support. Many rehab aftercare services include outpatient care, but clients often continue to receive support after being discharged from formal treatment. Case managers and care teams typically collaborate with clients to design their long-term care plan, which may include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction, among other services.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Texas provides a safe environment for medical detox. This setting is crucial to provide medical care during withdrawal. Certain withdrawal symptoms can cause life-threatening conditions, but patients in a supervised clinical setting have treatment readily available to address any symptoms before they become severe. Treatment can also be provided for co-occurring physical and mental health issues.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Individual therapy offers you a confidential space to address the complexities of your drug or alcohol addiction. Your therapist guides these personalized sessions to help develop self awareness and manage stress. This promotes sustained sobriety and overall well being.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Couples therapy helps couples learn to control emotions, trust each other, and communicate more effectively. It can be useful for short term intervention for a specific issue or for working on the relationship long term.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

DO NOT GO TO MORE THAN REHAB!! They are a fraud. They will lie to you and make promises they don't keep. All they want is the thousands of dollars insurance pays them. Then when you graduate the program they don't want anything to do with you. And they take back the promises to help you or get you to where you need to go. They will leave you stranded and then send you a bill for even more money then what they got from insurance because once you get out of the program they can't keep billing insurance

My time at MTR Rehab was truly transformative, and I can confidently say it's one of the best rehab facilities I've ever experienced. I left feeling equipped with a wealth of new tools and strategies to support my recovery journey. The program provided me with invaluable insights and practical skills that I now use daily. What truly sets MTR apart is the exceptional staff. I'm incredibly grateful for the dedication and care shown by Mr. Nick, Mr. Jonathan, Miss Kay, Miss Lynn, and Miss Audrey. A special thank you to my therapist, Miss Melanie, and to Mr. Sam. They created a supportive and understanding environment where I felt safe to explore my challenges and develop effective coping mechanisms. They genuinely invested in my well-being and provided me with everything I needed to work on my recovery from addiction. I feel genuinely blessed to have had their guidance and support. I highly recommend MTR to anyone seeking a comprehensive and compassionate approach to recovery.

I was surprised when we took a loved one to this facility. It’s an actual home vs. building. That starts everything off with a much more relaxed atmosphere that’s conducive to starting, going through and maintaining a very difficult process. The staff who greeted us were welcoming, positive and enthusiastic. It was late in the evening and yet, still just warm and positive vibes. It’s only been better from there. Every interaction has been pleasant. The staff are caring and knowledgeable and absolutely go out of their way to ensure an excellent level of care. If they don’t have an immediate answer or solution, they will find it. I’ve never had long hold times and it’s never taken days to hear back from them. Can’t say enough about the great program at More Than Rehab!

My husband has been at this facility for several weeks now and he has changed tremendously. All the staff worked together to get us the help we needed. I will always recommend this facility to friends and family, as I also work in the medical field. They have exceeded our expectations in many ways. Thank you for all your help, especially Derek the intake specialist!

Over all a positive experience. There is a certain staff member that oversteps and doesn’t like to keep your business safe from others. Due to that I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone in recovery or seeking treatment. It is ALOT of drama.

We're honored by your trust. Thanks for the feedback and if you could let us know more about your experience, call us at 888-249-2191.
