My wife and I are grateful for the program here at The Orchard on the Brazos. The team there has shown that a program uniquely designed to treat addiction while maintaining dignity is the best way to achieve and maintain sobriety. Additionally, their family programs are second to none. We attended a weekend event that was incredibly helpful to us. And, my wife and I have been attending their weekly family zoom meeting for 16 months. Not coincidentally, our loved one is 16 months sober. This meeting, run by Fallon has been instrumental in our own recovery. Fallon provides a very safe space to discuss various topics pertinent to family recover. We're very grateful for these meetings and plan to continue attending.

Unfortunately, we have had two experiences with the Orchard with two of our adult children. I wrote unfortunately, because no one should have to experience their children battling addiction. We had previous experience at another organization that was fruitless. This was a whole new version.
The professionals at the Orchard care not only for the residents, but also provide forums for the family members as well. It is a welcoming caring environment, where family participation is encouraged, because we all need healing in some respects.
For those who are just about at their wits end, there is hope. Let me also say this is not a miracle place, our kids have work that they need to do. As a Dad, I would encourage you to fully check out the facilities, programs and staff. We have been very blessed with our experiences.

The people at The Orchard truly care about their residents. They also care about the recovery of family members of the addict. If you or a loved one struggle with addiction I highly recommend The Orchard. It is very different than any other rehab facility I have come across and I am forever grateful that we found it!

Wonderfully and positively fulfilling place! Bill is awesome! The groups are enlightening and truly helpful. PRC in its entirety is incredible. Before coming here I went to the 30 day program at PRC Dallas (Euless) and it went by so fast! Thank you PRC for saving my life! They also introduced me to AA and I never want to stop practicing the steps! If you find yourself needing help please don’t hesitate to call them. I promise you will not regret it!

This is my 17th treatment and honestly I was a sceptic. But so far I love it! The team has shown nothing but love here. My intial phone call with Tiffany was welcoming and positive. Alicia is always smiles welcoming me whenever I come into the office. Abi, my medication provider is always a warm conversation when it comes to my treatment, you can see she cares for her patients. Food is fantastic! Property and facility are above average with respect to the size of the grounds and amenities (swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, pool table, ping pong table, foosball, and plastic throwing axes). Yoga Therapy, Equine Therapy, Art Therapy, and Music Therapy are also offered. 12-Step Recovery, SMART Recovery, and Refuge/Dharma Therapy are also offered Counselors are great and very supportive in your recovery. Holistically, the programming/classes offered are informative, and well rounded. An outside event is offered every Saturday, and they are democratically selected by the clients. While there we went to see 3 movies and we also went bowling. Lastly, it's a huge plus to have 24hr access to your cell phone and laptop to conduct any business that you need to attend to.

This place is ALMOST like a resort. The property and facilities are beautiful. The food was always amazing , and the head chef is great. He always greets everybody with a smile and takes pride in what he serves. All the BHT were awesome too. This was my first time in rehAb and the fact they never take away. your phone and I could order off Amazon made it soo much easier. The only thing I would add is somehow pairing you up with someone who is a little ahead of you coming off the same substance. So you can ask them what to expect. I literally walked around asking everybody" What's your DOC?" I only found one person. Seemed 80% of residents were there for alcohol. I was there for Fetty& Meth. Took subs too early got PSw which sucked but the nurses did what they could to help and I survived. I did complete the 30 day residential and recommend.

Ive been in programs before and they were very surface level, but if youre willing to put in the work, these therapists and counselors are determined to help you in the healing process and deeply. I enrolled as a patient at New Dimensions with no prior experience with iop. I called all around Houston and I gave this center a chance because they were the first ones to pick up the phone with a sense of compassion in their voices. I am an adult in my late 20s with alcohol and substance abuse history and I have ptsd from past traumas in my life as well as severe manic depression. My life had gotten to a place of complete unmanageability. I was scared that my diseases would eventually cause my inevitable death and I did not know any of the tools I needed to be a healthy functioning adult. All of that slowly and subtly started to change and improve because of the professional guidance I received from ALL of my therapists and counselors there. I learned how to replace bad habits with healthy ones and I choose my well being over the things that I can't change on a daily basis, one day at a time. I will always feel a sense of gratitude to this facility.

Positive Recovery is a game changer. I've been on my own recovery road for years by myself but l've never been able to connect all the pieces to stay sober. PRC provided me with tools I could use on a day to day basis that help me through life's situations as they come. Glenn, one of the counselors at the Cinco Ranch location, is very insightful and actually in recovery himself. He could relate to what I've been through and what I go through daily. He taught me about what my brain is going through and actually backs it up with scientific studies and evidence. I am excited about my future today. Like I said PRC is a game changer.

I have been to a few recovery centers and CARS is by far the best. They work with you and actually care about your progress and how you are. Kim is by far the best counselor I could’ve asked for, she is kind, caring and is the best part of CARS in my opinion. Also thw nurses there, Leah and Art work SO hard making sure everyone gets taken care of. I can’t say one bad thing about any of the counselors for that matter because they are all awesome.

I have been to 7 different clinics between Utah, cali, Texas; and CARS in Tomball is the best I have been to. If it weren’t for Kimberley there is no way I would be doing as good as I am. She has been there to talk me through hard times, reminded me how strong I am, if something comes up (out of town, or surgeries etc.) Kimberley, the nurses, and doctor do all they can to accommodate my needs. Other clinics made me feel like a burden, or like I was putting them out, or a pain. I have never had a counselor as amazing as Kimberly. I thought I was losing my dad, and the support Kimberly gave me, I have never had. She didn’t rush me out, I had to go back to my home state and she helped me make a relapse prevention plan, checked in on me, and has never made me feel like an addict. She has helped set me up to succeed, not fail. I have almost two years sober and if I didn’t have her support as well as Leah and Art and Chase I wouldn’t have made it this far. I’ve never had this kind of support in a program as I do now. Kimberly is the reason I stay at this clinic; “the best counselor I’ve had.” Leah, Art and Chase are all bonuses! If you’re looking for somewhere for yourself or family, CARS is the best. The counselors, nurses, and doc are all positives to this place

Monday morning, I had to go the the VA clinic in Tomball for blood work. For Thanksgiving week, it was busy. I got there early and was soon called back. The young black lady had her work cut out for her. They appeared to be very short staffed, but she was taking care of business. As soon as I walked through the door she handed me a cup and directed me to the bathroom. She had at least two, maybe three or more others already waiting to have their blood work done. She was going from partition to partition getting people help. I was in and out of there in minutes. She was also in a very good mood. It could have been overwhelming, but she didn't seem to mind. I admire the work ethic and the ability to work under tremendous pressure. I hope that she knows that she is appreciated. I tried to let her know. We need more people like her. True warrior.

I’m not sure why this clinic has a low rating. From admin to nurse to doctor everyone was exceptionally polite, courteous, patient and listened to me. Really recommend this facility.

I know not everyone’s experience is the same. But I am grateful for mine.
As a disabled US Army Veteran, I can honestly say that the staff at the Tomball VA CBOC have treated me with the highest level of care and compassion. Every single person I have encountered, whether it’s the front desk, the nurses, doctors, therapists, orthopedics team, optometrists, phlebotomists, or the suicide prevention team, has served me incredibly.
Yes, I share that last team openly, because it saved my life. The Suicide Prevention team at Tomball is available Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm. You can walk into the Tomball VA CBOC and they will listen, not just to reply, but to truly understand. They provide care, aftercare, follow-up, and most importantly, they treat you like a human being, with dignity, respect, and compassion.
I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for me. Between them and the CAMS Team in Houston, they saved my life.

Dr. Kaminar is incredible! I’ve been seeing him for almost 2 years and he is consistently helpful. As a woman with mental illness, I’ve had doctors constantly dismiss my symptoms and concerns. This has never been the case with Dr. Kaminar. He is so supportive and validates my concerns. Even with the smallest shifts of my health, he is ready to listen and find a solution that works best for me.

It's not great, but not terrible. It's free so it gets busy in the lab. Time your visits there. Appointments are not needed for many things in the lab, maybe whey they don't seem to help. Again, timing. 0900 on a Monday for example, expect to wait.
There needs to be better signage on the first floor, and expect to wait weeks or months to be seen.
Use your app or website to verify appointments.
For controlled med refills make sure to request refill two weeks out and be ready to follow up, a lot.
That said, it's free, it's not a commercial / public facility: Some of this should be expected, some issues should be easy to correct, and one or two issues with specific doctors are not a reflection of the entire clinic.

Dr. Kaminar is incredible! I’ve been seeing him for almost 2 years and he is consistently helpful. As a woman with mental illness, I’ve had doctors constantly dismiss my symptoms and concerns. Just leaving a comment as a program volunteer. I honestly feel like the Boaz House provides Christian support, sisterhood advice and valuable connections. Between religious studies, counseling, church and volunteer opportunities each person in the program has the opportunity for success. These skills only helped girls transition into sober living. I have seen a lot of growth with girls invested in the program. For girls who left the program, there were a lot prayers and real loss felt. The staff member I worked closely with definitely gave 120% love & support to the girls.

The Boaz House transformed my life in more way than one. I have battled with addiction for 17 years and been to a couple rehabs none was like this one. Christina truly cares about her clients and goes above and beyond to help them. Center for discovery saved my life. The bad reviews scared me at first and I was nervous to go. Once I got there I found a place where I felt understood and seen. The first time I went I did not take it seriously. I’m happy I got the chance for them to help me again. One thing people don’t understand is treatment is not magic, you have to put in the work too. They helped aid me in my recovery process and now I feel better than ever. It is what you make of it. The staff is absolutely incredible and easy to talk to and bond with. I met patients there that I now consider my friends. It’s helpful to be around people that understand. Chrystal is an amazing staff member who is respectful and caring. All the nurses are very thoughtful and they made every day a little easier. I found that saying goodbye was hard but every person there helped shape me into who I am right now. I now can look forward to my future and am excited to live and feel like myself again. Center for discovery was fun and helpful I am always grateful. I highly recommend getting treatment here.

When our daughter was admitted to the Center For Discovery, Cypress Tx., her body and mind were not in a good place. Of course, at first she was resistant, but after a few weeks we started noticing big changes. Dr. Rana, her psychiatrist, made some changes to her meds. Miss Ashleigh her therapist worked constantly with her and kept in constant contact with us. Nurse Shoba would greet us when we visited our daughter, after talking to her you could see she had a servants heart, her concern and care for the children was evident. Our daughter said Nurse Shoba just made her feel peaceful and cared for. Naomi, the dietician, was honest and kind. After a few weeks our daughter looked healthier, her eyes were brighter, and she was more confident in herself. Nurse Indie would email through updates to us weekly and was always available for questions and concerns. After about a month we noticed her thoughts and habits were changing for the better. We can't say enough about the whole staff. Watching our daughter's physical and mental health change over her 2 month stay was amazing and heartwarming. Anyone with a loved one needing treatment should consider The Center For Discovery, Cypress. Yes, the first few weeks may be hard, yes, they will eat to build up their physical strength. But once they buy in to the process you and your loved one will be happy with the result.

I left back in April after being employed for 5 years. It was a personal choice to leave and in no way had anything to do with the company itself. I will say that BVCASA is contracted through TDCJ. So they follow TDCJ rules. The program is what you make of it. If you behave badly, then you get in trouble and have consequences. The clients are there to correct bad behaviors they learn in prison and from the lives they have lived. To the families, please remember that loved ones may alter the truth to fit their narrative.
