I was tired of losing to my addiction and finally had a reason to surrender. I made a call to three different rehab centers and no one answered. I almost threw my hands up and just went back to sleep but something told me to try one more. It ended up being MTR. I made the call at 1:30 pm and was sitting at their facility at 7:30 pm that same day. It was my first time to ever enter rehab but let me tell you they made me feel loved from the first moment. Nic and his staff were an answered prayer. Jessie, Jessica, Lynn, Brody, Katie, Kay, Ginger, Maddie, and countless others really helped me. MTR’s therapists Sam, Claire, Jade, and Summer really broke down how addiction works and why it happens. I learned so much while I was there. The nurses were fantastic, the doctors listened to what I had to say. I completed the program and I am now home. My family returned. My life is being restored. I’m not looking back. One day at a time. I believe it was God ordained for me to be there and to experience what I did while there was nothing short of a miracle. A couple of suggestions I have are: In the shower, water collects around the handle and doesn't drain well. I'm worried it could cause mold over time, so maybe adding a small drain hole could help. For the night snack, I think two sandwiches instead of one would be nice. I asked a few others, and many agreed. Some also said hot chips would be a good addition. Where to even begin. I woke up on a Friday morning and my family had left me after a 2 day binge. I was tired of losing to my addiction and finally had a reason to surrender. I made a call to three different rehab centers and no one answered. I almost threw my hands up and just went back to sleep but something told me to try one more. It ended up being MTR. I made the call at 1:30 pm and was sitting at their facility at 7:30 pm that same day. It was my first time to ever enter rehab but let me tell you they made me feel loved from the first moment. Nic and his staff were an answered prayer. Jessie, Jessica, Lynn, Brody, Katie, Kay, Ginger, Maddie, and countless others really helped me. MTR’s therapists Sam, Claire, Jade, and Summer really broke down how addiction works and why it happens. I learned so much while I was there. The nurses were fantastic, the doctors listened to what I had to say. I completed the program and I am now home. My family returned. My life is being restored. I’m not looking back. One day at a time. I believe it was God ordained for me to be there and to experience what I did while there was nothing short of a miracle. Thank you MTR and staff for helping me get back to the man God called me to be. Bless you all!!! If you are REALLY WANTING help and REALLY LOOKING to break the chains, I recommend giving them a shot. Margaret was my tech for my TMS treatments. She made my experience so pleasant. I felt so warm and safe as the TMS machine can be intimidating with the loud tapping noise. Margaret was also very knowledgeable of these treatments and so all my questions were answered. And the best part is that I started feeling better and this really helped with my depression. Positive Recovery is a game changer. I've been on my own recovery road for years by myself but l've never been able to connect all the pieces to stay sober. PRC provided me with tools I could use on a day to day basis that help me through life's situations as they come. This program is just different. Ive been in programs before and they were very surface level, but if youre willing to put in the work, these therapists and counselors are determined to help you in the healing process and deeply. I was placed here by the court, and I'm glad I was because this program taught me a lot. It helped me grow, strengthen my faith in God, and showed me how therapy and music can help people express their emotions and see life in a new way. Thank you to everyone who works here. A couple of suggestions I have are: In the shower, water collects around the handle and doesn't drain well. I'm worried it could cause mold over time, so maybe adding a small drain hole could help. For the night snack, I think two sandwiches instead of one would be nice. I asked a few others, and many agreed. Some also said hot chips would be a good addition. I don't know everything that goes into running this place, but I just wanted to share my thoughts. Thank you again for everything you do.

Robert took the time to walk me through their Woodlands location and let me know about the other services offered in the Greater Houston Area. I was able to meet and speak with Laura Alper a very sweet and grounded clinician who really wants to make a difference. I’m incredibly grateful for my time with PRC Conroe. I did my recovery program through their online Zoom meetings, and even though I wasn’t there in person, I still felt fully connected, supported, and encouraged every step of the way. The ladies who led the classes were compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to helping people heal—and that came through, even over a screen. They also offer in-person classes for those who prefer that setting, which just shows how flexible and accommodating they are to each person’s needs. No matter how you show up, they meet you where you are. Recovery isn’t easy, but PRC Conroe made it feel possible. I didn't like it at first because I had subconsciously thought of it as a "group failures" class along with the stigma and bad rep that media shows of such programs, but once I paid attention, I realized that these programs provide tools and methods of how we can identify the traumas that are buried within ourselves.
