I started drinking more than I should, and I needed some help to get realigned. I searched for several outpatient programs, however, after reading the Reviews for this specific location I decided to give them a try. You get what you put in. If you re serious and you want to be a better version of yourself then pour into the groups, pour into the conversations and activities. I wholeheartedly believe that anyone dealing with addiction of any sort will benefit from this program. Ladies you are wonderful, I cannot thank you enough!

Other Forms of Payment

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Commonly known as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers intensive addiction treatment while allowing you to return home each day. It can serve as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or as a step-down option. Depending on your needs, PHP treatment typically averages 90 days with a weekly requirement of 6-8 hours a day. PHP treatment offers a variety of therapeutic interventions such as individual counseling, group therapy, and psychoeducation. Oftentimes PHP treatment can be fully covered by insurance.
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab programs are geared toward clients in early recovery. They also provide intensive support for clients in crisis and those at an increased relapse risk. Clients receive housing and meals while in inpatient care, allowing them to focus solely on their recovery. Most programs prioritize addiction counseling but may draw on various psychotherapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, RBT, trauma therapy, and motivational interviewing. Life skills training and holistic therapies are also common in inpatient care.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

The purpose of family therapy is to create a supportive and understanding family dynamic within the family unit. Therapists help individual members to identify and change harmful behavior patterns and improve communication. This provides a stable foundation for the family and their loved one's recovery.

Peer support is an important aspect of group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction. As you and your peers share stories and encourage each other, it fosters a sense of community and belonging that helps you process your feelings and reduces the sense of isolation that is associated with addiction.

I’ve been going here for serval months now and absolutely love it! The staff truly cares and listens I love hearing good morning Collin and have a great day Collin! When I come in and out from the wonderful person working behind the front desk. I’ve been to three clinics in this one. These nurses have absolutely your full attention, They listen to you they communicate with you, They truly care and I love that. Both of the nurses are just amazing so sweet and caring and very well trained in the field of work! The doctor is The Coolest guy I’ve ever met lol. Very laid-back but listens to you is and your needs and is very open not all crazy strict. Great guy and a great doctor! And of course, the counselors I love them. My counselor is amazing. She’s a veteran just like me and we get along just great. She’s perfect. And there’s always this other counselor always tells me to have a great day with a wonderful smile. And I don’t know Just makes me feel really good. I would give this place 10 stars If I could!! If your looking for Suboxone or Methadone maintenance treatment look no further this is your place to go to trust me. I have been in Methadone maintenance clinics since 2018 and this is the best one I’ve ever experienced. I’m sober and never felt better in my life! 😇😊

Charla Zendejas, LCDC, is truly a remarkable counselor at Symetria Recovery. Her kind heart and genuine care for each person she works with are evident from the very first meeting. Charla listens deeply without judgment, creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and truly understood. She has a natural ability to meet people exactly where they are, offering encouragement, understanding, and practical coping skills that help her clients navigate even their most difficult moments. If you are seeking someone who genuinely cares and will stand by you through your recovery journey, I wholeheartedly recommend Charla. It's a nice place but it is slow wait times we check in and wait awhile to be doesed after someone leaves like we're sick come on now I would think getting the patient dosed instead of hanging around back there I've been to several clinics and were all quick on the dosing so what's the issue we shouldn't be sitting here waiting 10 15 min in between patients docs great tho

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Hi, Ronald. Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback. As you know, substance use addiction is extremely prevalent in our communities, and despite the number of patients we treat every day, our clinic team makes every effort to see everyone in a timely fashion. We pride ourselves on delivering a best-in-class experience to every patient that walks through our doors, but oftentimes, some patients may require a bit more time or attention than was originally anticipated. Your patience, kindness, and compassion is always appreciated. <br> <br>We certainly understand any frustration for the ten - fifteen minute delay. If you would like to speak further or share additional details about your experience, please contact our Houston clinic directly. Your experience is of utmost importance to us.<br><br>Best wishes for continued good health!

Only been 2 days since I came here. Everyone I’ve met on staff so far(in person & on the phone) has been kind, caring, non-judgmental, and genuinely want to listen & help. I’ve been dealing with over a decade of primary doctors, ER staff, and general hospital staff being flat out dismissive of my pain & after my first phone call to Symetria made me tear up & cry feeling relieved & just being immediately validated & not dismissed/called a junkie. The counselor is amazing & a really great listener. Made me feel safe to talk about my traumas & life stories. They offer family sessions if your like me & have been through childhood trauma with siblings or other family members. Even the people working the front desk make you feel seen/heard & have been so empathetic & nonjudgmental. They keep coffee and snacks in the front too so bonus coffee 😁 I cannot recommend this place enough. You just have to take the first step to call & get things going ❤️ & I have to say the only negative thing for me personally is that the locations are so far from me, & I don’t mean that in a “it’s their fault” way at all! Just sucks for me that the closest one is 30 miles away but I’ll happily keep making the trip & not complain just because of how absolutely awesome everyone is here, staff & other patients included. I love being able to talk with the other people in the waiting area knowing we’re all in this together & all have a common goal together.
