I had laying hens a few years back and I was able to donate a LOT of eggs to the mission. They offered me food and even though I needed help, I wanted them to be able to help others who might be worse off than I was. They're wonderful people and they've helped so many people. They need as many donations as possible. May God open the windows of Heaven and pour out an abundance of blessings upon them.

I want to share our experience at this facility because there are many negative reviews out there, and that can make parents afraid to send their children. But we actually had a good experience. I’d encourage you not to hesitate to make that decision if you need to. Just remember that most people take the time to write something negative, and very few share positive experiences. Trust your own judgment and don’t let negative comments put your child’s physical and mental health at risk.

No parent ever wants to place their child in a treatment center. We were very nervous and scared but the entire staff at SMTC went above and beyond to ensure our family felt heard, seen, and validated. Our child did have to wait for several months for a bed to open (no fault to center as the mental health crisis in our world is a lot and not enough places to help ) but as soon as one did the staff as on top of everything and made the transition from out of state as easy as possible. Through the 8 plus months or child was in SMTC we got to see the staff and campus first hand several times and it broke all the stereotypes about these "types of places". The campus is beautiful and tons of engaging and therapeutic activities for all clients. They planned and executed several special outings , BBQs, and fun activities to keep clients active and involved in every aspects of their mental health treatment. Our therapist , Ms. Mcarthur was exceptional and walked beside us the entire way. she will forever hold a special places in our family for all the tools, tips, and support for gave us. She helped our child learn skills to advocate and take a role in their personal treatment. The nursing staff was kind, knowledgeable and professional. Nurse Anderson, Nurse Macola, and Nurse Headly are amazing assets to the facility. Communication was constant, clear and conveyed in a timely fashion. I was very impressed with the fact the SMTC worked with not only the individual client but also us as a family with weekly family therapy sessions. As parents we were very involved throughout the treatment process. We loved the weekly check ins and staffings to ensure we all were on same page and all effective members of the treatment team. We are eternally grateful for SMTC for coming along and walking beside us without judgement during a very hard, scary and emotional season of our lives. TO ALL THE STAFF: we are so grateful and thankful for all your hard work not only with our child but all the children you help! We know nursing is sometimes hard and difficult but know you are a blessing to so many kiddos! you have all touched our lives with lasting experiences! keep up the amazing work you all do! Dr. Aviles has been a great help to my sister, but today I realized how unprofessional the front desk people are. My sister is an autistic person and she went in for her appoiment she does not know English so my father and nephews whom are 12 years old accompanied her. They both clearly heard one of the woman say “HOW DOES SHE NOT KNOW ENGLISH” First of all DO NOT TALK ABOUT PATIENTS. Second she’s an autistic person whose first language is Spanish and that’s why my father accompanied her. Third your are there to help not to be rude. I really hope I can get in touch with someone that can let their staff know they are there to help, not to DISCRIMINATE their patients.

Monday morning, I had to go the the VA clinic in Tomball for blood work. For Thanksgiving week, it was busy. I got there early and was soon called back. The young black lady had her work cut out for her. They appeared to be very short staffed, but she was taking care of business. As soon as I walked through the door she handed me a cup and directed me to the bathroom. She had at least two, maybe three or more others already waiting to have their blood work done. She was going from partition to partition getting people help. I was in and out of there in minutes. She was also in a very good mood. It could have been overwhelming, but she didn't seem to mind. I admire the work ethic and the ability to work under tremendous pressure. I hope that she knows that she is appreciated. I tried to let her know. We need more people like her. True warrior.

I’m not sure why this clinic has a low rating. From admin to nurse to doctor everyone was exceptionally polite, courteous, patient and listened to me. Really recommend this facility.

I know not everyone’s experience is the same. But I am grateful for mine. As a disabled US Army Veteran, I can honestly say that the staff at the Tomball VA CBOC have treated me with the highest level of care and compassion. Every single person I have encountered, whether it’s the front desk, the nurses, doctors, therapists, orthopedics team, optometrists, phlebotomists, or the suicide prevention team, has served me incredibly. Yes, I share that last team openly, because it saved my life. The Suicide Prevention team at Tomball is available Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm. You can walk into the Tomball VA CBOC and they will listen, not just to reply, but to truly understand. They provide care, aftercare, follow-up, and most importantly, they treat you like a human being, with dignity, respect, and compassion. I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for me. Between them and the CAMS Team in Houston, they saved my life. And if you’re a veteran or loved one reading this and you find yourself in a mental health crisis, please don’t wait, Dial 988 and Press 1. By far one of the best behavioral hospitals that I’ve visited on behalf of families in my 20 year history of being in the social service field for aging and disable care. The place is clean, the staff are friendly, they return phone calls and the people there are well looked after and treated respectfully.

My son has been going to outpatient youth therapy for 2 weeks and he loves it. The staff is great and very resppectful. Thankfully till now i have not had an issue.
