If you’re thinking about getting help and looking at Willow springs, choose this place. I’m not going to sugar coat it, recovery isn’t easy, detox isn’t easy - but this place is great. It's been almost two years since I first walked through the doors of BRC. I would first and foremost like to say that if it wasn't for the staff for taking genuine interest and concern for my overall being and seeing past my physical appearance that I was struggling with something much deeper than I wouldn't have stayed. I see some negative comments and believe me I had some when I first got to Austin, TX. But, sitting here clean and sober almost 2 years later I will admit that if it wasn't for this knowledge that was given to me by this program, I probably wouldn't be who I am today. I've come to my own realization that your addiction will convince your brain of anything to keep you living in the darkness. It will tell you that you aren't and addict or that because you look different that you aren't an addict. I'm currently still working on underlying problems that led me down the road of addiction and using them to help build my strength to continue this journey of recovery. If it wasn't for BRC I would still be a lost 29-year-old mother of 6 beautiful children and I wouldn't know that a healthy relationship looks like or that firm boundaries with unhealthy people are okay. I walk in a new light thanks to this place and the people that make this program possible. One day my children will also thank them for giving them their mom back! No words can ever express the gratitude that I have for BRC. Please have an open mind when going into this program because I promise it will all be worth it. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. The medical team handled my detox efficiently and continued to manage my medical need throughout my residential stay. The meals were good for the most part (i'm pretty picky.) There was no shortage of snacks during my stay. Here's by far, in my very long time at this outpatient center, the most caring and knowledgeable counselor I have ever had the pleasure of being assigned to. It would take me a novels worth of verbiage and wording to explain how far he goes to help me. Not only is he incredibly perceptive, but he is able to adapt his manner of help and counseling to each individual's way of retaining that help. I've been receiving treatment from this facility even before it was cms, back when it was still called Mars. So I've seen countless counselors come and go, and one little thing that stands out amongst all of the counselors that I've been assigned to is that Chad is the only one who has ever said "don't hesitate to give me a call if you're having a bad day, or you just need someone to talk to, or if something's going wrong and you need some advice. If I'm here at the office, I'll MAKE time to talk", and he means it. There's been many times where I have had to reach out to him, when having a bad day or in a situation where I needed advice, and he does his best to relay any and all help he can. A while back I had started looking at other treatment facilities, around the same time that he came on board at CMS and I got assigned to him. And I have to say, if it weren't for Chad coming into my life and being an outlet and more than a counselor, someone I can consider a friend in the professional sense. If it weren't for him, I would have left and joined this other outpatient clinic that I had found. I'm leaving this review so all will know the outstanding job that he does day in and day out. And it is not an easy job. So chad, hold your head high and keep up the good work. I am forever grateful for all of the knowledge and lessons that you have taught me in our time together. If it wasn't for this amazing program and facility I wouldn't be here today. It's been almost two years since I first walked through the doors of BRC. I would first and foremost like to say that if it wasn't for the staff for taking genuine interest and concern for my overall being and seeing past my physical appearance that I was struggling with something much deeper than I wouldn't have stayed. I see some negative comments and believe me I had some when I first got to Austin, TX. But, sitting here clean and sober almost 2 years later I will admit that if it wasn't for this knowledge that was given to me by this program, I probably wouldn't be who I am today. I've come to my own realization that your addiction will convince your brain of anything to keep you living in the darkness. It will tell you that you aren't and addict or that because you look different that you aren't an addict. I'm currently still working on underlying problems that led me down the road of addiction and using them to help build my strength to continue this journey of recovery. If it wasn't for BRC I would still be a lost 29-year-old mother of 6 beautiful children and I wouldn't know that a healthy relationship looks like or that firm boundaries with unhealthy people are okay. I walk in a new light thanks to this place and the people that make this program possible. One day my children will also thank them for giving them their mom back! No words can ever express the gratitude that I have for BRC. Please have an open mind when going into this program because I promise it will all be worth it. The program is strict but our addiction are even darker.

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone. Thank you to Jeff, Korn, Cassandra, Jen, Leon Phelps, Aaron, and the rest of the staff!

Never thought I'd be reviewing a detox/rehab facility, but Recovery Unplugged delivered. The medical team handled my detox efficiently and continued to manage my medical need throughout my residential stay. My therapist Carolyn was always available and helped me develop a solid plan for my continued recovery. The tech staff kept things moving smoothly. The meals were good for the most part (i'm pretty picky.) There was no shortage of snacks during my stay. I hope to never come back to Recovery, but would recommend it to anyone who is ready to take back their life from addiction.

I’ve been to treatment centers all over the country, and I can honestly say there was something different about The Arbor. From the moment I arrived, the level of care, accountability, and genuine support was unlike anything I had experienced before. The staff doesn’t just treat addiction. They care deeply about the individual person sitting in front of them. Every member of my care team took the time to understand me, challenge me, support me, and walk with me through the process of rebuilding my life. There’s an ethos at The Arbor that’s hard to describe unless you’ve experienced it yourself. It’s a balance of accountability and compassion that changed me completely. What stood out most to me was how holistic the program is. They truly focus on healing the whole person emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically, socially, and environmentally. I’ve been through many different types of treatment, but this was the first place where I learned how to actually live in recovery, not just survive sobriety. Their continuum of care, from treatment to aftercare to sober living, gave me the structure and support I needed to build a real foundation. I came to The Arbor desperate, exhausted, and dying. Today, I am a woman in recovery who is genuinely proud of who she is and committed to giving back what was given to me there. This place changes lives. Its helped me to have the tools to accurately address and process what my addiction and addictive behaviors look like both mentally and physically. It’s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & “the Room” @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call “the room”. Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey…. “Who is Kat?” Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc…most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn’t otherwise talk about…I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn’t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. I hope this review reaches you when you’re feeling like you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked. If that’s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling—Saving Lives. There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it’s not on your best day—it’s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn’t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn’t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I’ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me—a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child—and smiled. “Hey Bud, we’re going to get through this. And I don’t just mean maintain—I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John.” It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. I wish I could adequately express my gratitude and admiration for Driftwood Recovery. This place and the staff members and alumni who offered expert support to our young adult son and to our family are sacred to me. As a mental health professional myself, I knew that the key to my son’s healing would require a level of trauma-informed inpatient care that is very difficult to find, especially in the state of Texas. Our son had so many complex issues and the staff offered tremendous empathy while also requiring his accountability. My son found joy, connection, friendship, and a new way of living during his time at Driftwood and then at Riverside. I had the opportunity to work with Blake Goldstein, and she is kind, compassionate and incredibly skilled at her job. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sage Recovery and Wellness Center is truly a healing place. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the peace and care that went into creating such a beautiful environment. The property itself is stunning — from the pool and hot tub to the cozy spaces throughout the villa (which feels more like a luxury home than a facility). The daily schedule may look full at first, but it’s so thoughtfully structured. Over time, you start building healthy habits and routines that carry into your everyday life after you leave. Some of my favorite parts were equine therapy at the Healing Horses Ranch (the staff there are amazing!), accudetox, yoga, and personal training. Everything is designed to help you reconnect with yourself and appreciate the little things again. The villa is gorgeous — spacious, peaceful, and filled with comforts like books to read, a beautiful kitchen, and incredible chef-made meals. But what truly makes Sage special is the staff. They don’t just show up for you — they get down in the trenches with you. They listen, they care, and they help guide you out of the darkness with compassion and understanding. The clients I met there became like family. Everyone is going through something, and it’s so powerful to feel seen, supported, and understood in that way. The therapists and curriculum are absolutely life-changing — I learned so many coping skills that I use every day. I am beyond grateful for my time at Sage. It was one of the most transformative experiences of my life, and I genuinely believe they saved my life. If you’re ready to work on yourself and heal, this is the place to do it. 💛

After losing my son last year, Mother’s Day was incredibly difficult for me, and I ended up in the Sunrise Unit at Rock Springs. I cannot say enough good things about the staff there and the care I received. Annette is legitimately one of the most knowledgeable therapists I’ve ever met — you can mention almost any book or therapeutic concept, and she’s already read it and can discuss it thoughtfully. I learned so many skills from Annette’s groups. She is also deeply empathetic. Aaron, one of the nurses, has such a huge heart and genuinely cares about the patients. Jaimee, a behavioral tech, sat with me, held my hand, and hugged me while I talked about the loss of my son, a moment of kindness I will never forget. Maureen was always positive, attentive, and constantly checking in on everyone to make sure we were okay. I also really loved the yoga session with Jacob; it was one of my favorite parts of the program. I was specifically on the Sunrise Unit, so I can only speak to that experience, but they truly seem to have figured out how to create a compassionate and supportive environment. Most importantly, I felt heard. My treatment team listened to me, treated me like a person, and helped me through one of the hardest moments of my life. This is definitely where I would go if I was ever in crisis again.

I was in the Sunrise unit. The best unit in the hospital in my opinion. I want to thank the entire staff, especially Mrs Gertrude, Ms Sabreelyn, Mrs Yemi, Mrs Nikki, Mr Aaron, Mr Carrey, Mrs Sabrina, Ms Jamie, Christopher, Mrs India, Mrs Natasha and various other nurses, doctors and therapist that helped me along the way and set a path for me to continue on my journey. I met many wonderful women from all walks of life that made me feel seen and heard. My stay was the perfect. If you're in need of a reset or you need detox, this is the place to go and get just that. They also provide continued help when you're out.The food was okay. I knew it would be bland due to others dietary needs but a little salt, pepper and franks goes a long way, lol. I can't thank everyone enough.

I'm leaving this comment because of my counselor, Chad. Here's by far, in my very long time at this outpatient center, the most caring and knowledgeable counselor I have ever had the pleasure of being assigned to. It would take me a novels worth of verbiage and wording to explain how far he goes to help me. Not only is he incredibly perceptive, but he is able to adapt his manner of help and counseling to each individual's way of retaining that help. I've been receiving treatment from this facility even before it was cms, back when it was still called Mars. So I've seen countless counselors come and go, and one little thing that stands out amongst all of the counselors that I've been assigned to is that Chad is the only one who has ever said "don't hesitate to give me a call if you're having a bad day, or you just need someone to talk to, or if something's going wrong and you need some advice. If I'm here at the office, I'll MAKE time to talk", and he means it. There's been many times where I have had to reach out to him, when having a bad day or in a situation where I needed advice, and he does his best to relay any and all help he can. A while back I had started looking at other treatment facilities, around the same time that he came on board at CMS and I got assigned to him. And I have to say, if it weren't for Chad coming into my life and being an outlet and more than a counselor, someone I can consider a friend in the professional sense. If it weren't for him, I would have left and joined this other outpatient clinic that I had found. I'm leaving this review so all will know the outstanding job that he does day in and day out. And it is not an easy job. So chad, hold your head high and keep up the good work. I am forever grateful for all of the knowledge and lessons that you have taught me in our time together. And I look forward to many more conversations, laughs, cries, and knowledgeable interactions with you. Five stars earned, by Chad!!!
