Food is fantastic! Property and facility are above average with respect to the size of the grounds and amenities (swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, pool table, ping pong table, foosball, and plastic throwing axes). Yoga Therapy, Equine Therapy, Art Therapy, and Music Therapy are also offered. 12-Step Recovery, SMART Recovery, and Refuge/Dharma Therapy are also offered Counselors are great and very supportive in your recovery. Holistically, the programming/classes offered are informative, and well rounded. An outside event is offered every Saturday, and they are democratically selected by the clients. While there we went to see 3 movies and we also went bowling. Lastly, it's a huge plus to have 24hr access to your cell phone and laptop to conduct any business that you need to attend to.

This place is ALMOST like a resort. The property and facilities are beautiful. The food was always amazing , and the head chef is great. He always greets everybody with a smile and takes pride in what he serves. All the BHT were awesome too. This was my first time in rehAb and the fact they never take away. your phone and I could order off Amazon made it soo much easier. The only thing I would add is somehow pairing you up with someone who is a little ahead of you coming off the same substance. So you can ask them what to expect. I literally walked around asking everybody" What's your DOC?" I only found one person. Seemed 80% of residents were there for alcohol. I was there for Fetty& Meth. Took subs too early got PSw which sucked but the nurses did what they could to help and I survived. I did complete the 30 day residential and recommend.

Our experience with Alpha has been nothing short of transformative for my 15-year-old son. When we first sought help following my son's overdose, I was overwhelmed with concern and uncertainty. But from the very first phone call, the staff made us feel supported and heard. The intake process was smooth, and they took the time to carefully explain every step of the program, ensuring we were fully informed and comfortable moving forward. The team of counselors, therapists, and support staff is exceptional. They truly understand the challenges young people face and have a unique ability to connect with teens in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. My son has made incredible progress, thanks to their individualized approach that takes into account not only the addiction itself, but also the emotional, psychological, and social factors that contribute to it. What stands out most about this center is their holistic approach. They don’t just treat the addiction—they work on building self-esteem, coping strategies, and life skills that are crucial for long-term success. The therapists created a safe space for my son to open up, express his feelings, and rebuild trust. It’s clear that the staff genuinely care about the well-being of their patients and their families. The outpatient program was tailored to my son's needs, allowing us to balance treatment with school and other activities. The center also encourages family involvement and offers parental support and therapy, which has been crucial for my understanding and support of my son's recovery journey. The progress I've seen in my teenager over the past few months is remarkable. Not only has he shown an improved attitude toward his recovery, but I've also noticed a significant positive shift in his overall mood and outlook on life. We are beyond grateful to Alpha for giving our family hope and helping my teenager reclaim his future. If you're looking for a compassionate, professional, and effective treatment program for a young person struggling with addiction, I wholeheartedly recommend Alpha 180. They truly saved my son and gave us the tools we need to continue on this journey together. Jenn Parent of Alpha Patient

Addiction & Psychotherapy Services (Aeschbach & Associates) has been serving the greater Austin area since 1982. Good people, invaluable service provided. Very legit (non-sketch). [EDIT/UPDATE] Well, it’s been 5 years since I posted the brief review seen above, and I feel like both this clinic AND me deserve something of an update. I am still a patient of the clinic’s, albeit a patient whose chaotic and life-threatening issues with opiate addiction thankfully have been thoroughly tamed. While Google Reviews isn’t the appropriate venue to detail the grittier personal details encompassed within an individual case of opiate addiction disorder, I will share without hesitation the undeniable reality that without the service of professionally compassionate treatment of the addiction nightmare which first brought me to their doorstep, I would not be alive and able to compose the review you’re now reading. How very happy I AM here today, able to talk about this treatment and the improvements to and gains made in my life, none of which would have been remotely possible without the service provided by this clinic. Relationships shattered by the damage wrought by addiction have been repaired. My apartment becomes a nicer and more enjoyable place to call home with each passing year as I replace belongings that I sold or traded for drugs in the past and add new ones I never had the chance to enjoy “back then.” It’s easier to look in the mirror now that I put on new, clean clothes that I like to wear, instead of rummaging through piles of tattered threads, searching for the least dirty garments I first got from donation bins and the like. My self-esteem grows each passing day. I no longer avert my eyes from those of the people I encounter. I no longer find myself having to constantly look over my proverbial shoulder, worried that the people I know will steal my belongings at the first opportunity they see to do so. I no longer find myself incarcerated, wondering what lunkheaded thing I did to land myself there while I was, no doubt, blacked-out thanks to some atrociously dangerous combination of opiates, benzodiazepines, and anything else I might have imbibed while barking at the moon. Good grief, am I ever glad that those days seem finally to be behind me. One more killer perk which I suspect just might appeal to someone out there: I haven’t been dope-sick—or, I suppose I ought to say “in withdrawal”—not even once since the first day I began treatment. Not. Even. Once. So, if you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired, do yourself a gigantic, merciful favor by picking up the phone and giving these fine folks a ringy-dingy-ding. You could literally change your life today. Never have I regretted my decision to do so. One love… ✌️

They even got my medication stable to where I can function day to day with no problem. The people I want to thank are Ela (Psychiatrist) , Kales (Therapist), And the best techs ever Kasja, Jackson, Heather and Chase .

When I found Omega, I was desperate for help. I’m a single mom, and had just taken my partner to a treatment center of his own. I spent the first week or so of being here insisting that it wasn’t gonna work, just seeing as I’ve been in and out of treatment for 11 years now. But, I’ve been here 4 weeks today and I’m so much farther now than I ever thought I could be. I have to thank all the staff for their continued support and encouragement, and even patience, while I’ve struggled and fought to get to where I am now. I’m on track to get back to my kids and I’m so looking forward to “restarting” my life now that I’m healthier mentally than I’ve felt in, quite honestly, as long as I can remember. Words will never quite be able to describe or express my gratitude towards Omega and its staff for all the love they’ve shown to me and everyone else I’ve met since I got here. I’ve been able to speak with my kids on a semi-consistent basis, my therapist has been so supportive and helpful, and everyone has been able to sit down and listen/talk with me when I need it. I can’t think of a better center than here for my situation as a parent with two little ones at home. They’re my reason for coming here and all the staff have been so understanding about that, and have used my love for them to push me to do better and BE better so I can go home and truly be the mother my babies deserve.

The team there has shown that a program uniquely designed to treat addiction while maintaining dignity is the best way to achieve and maintain sobriety. And, my wife and I have been attending their weekly family zoom meeting for 16 months. Not coincidentally, our loved one is 16 months sober. Honestly this place is horrible, I've been going here for quite some time when I was younger up until I was about 18 (24 now), one of the Doctor's there, told social security I wasn't disabled when I in-fact am, (They had told me I was ALSO disabled), due to that statement, I have lost my medical insurance or they put me on some insurance I'm too young for, they took away my disability benefits. I'm unable to work, therefore I'm in quite a financial struggle. Not to mention I was on my grandmas case up until I was 23, when you turn 18, you're supposed to have your own case as an adult. You will then have to reapply for disability. Their system is complete garbage. If you don't want results, go to any social security office and they'll provide you with just that.

I had a deeply traumatic experience under the care of Gus Zamora delivering my firstborn at Detar. I was induced against my will @41 weeks pregnant. I was begging and crying for him to not induce me because I was praying for a natural birth, but he grabbed me by the shoulders and told me if I didn’t sign the papers and get induced right then (Friday) that he was going to cut me open on Monday. (Mind you I was perfectly healthy, baby perfectly healthy. The ONLY REASON for inducing me was “this is routine for us” and “you’re just going to be happy to have your baby”) I wish I would have walked out. I was scared that he was going to cut me open out of spite for not wanting to be induced the day he wanted me to be. I have had PTSD ever since. I feel humiliated, violated, betrayed, disrespected, and disregarded. Among other things- the nurses rolling their eyes at me for begging to not get induced, the nurses threatening to get the vacuum if I didn’t push on their count downs, them forcing me to labor on my back while I’m begging to labor on my side, the anesthesiologist giving me 3 epidural attempts and leaving me with lasting lower back spasms. That was 9 months ago- I have had multiple panic attacks every single day since, lasting hours at a time each. I feel like my mind and body are ruined. During my pregnancy, he also failed to administer the RH shot, not realizing until after I had delivered my baby, seeing that baby’s blood is RH positive and my blood is RH negative; I now need to consult another doctor to determine if this neglect has caused sensitization, potentially impacting my future pregnancies. (He informed me of this while I was freshly postpartum and left it at that.) Also, despite clearly outlining my preferences in my birth plan, including a refusal of pain medication unless specifically requested, I was administered narcotics without my consent. I had to ask the anesthesiologist what had been injected, only to learn it was fentanyl—something I explicitly wanted to avoid because I have close family who have died due to it. Evermore, this experience has left me with daily struggles of PTSD and significant emotional and physical trauma. The complete disregard for my autonomy, preferences, and well-being during such a critical and vulnerable time was unacceptable. I am sharing my experience here in hopes of preventing others from enduring similar harm.

The whole time I was there every single staff member who I met genuinely cared about the kids there and wanted to see them successful. While this place can help your child with a lot of things nothing will be a perfect solution when you re talking about substance abuse. People will not change until they want to change, but a place like this will allow them to learn some tools that will help them when they do decide to make that decision or even keep them alive long enough to make that decision.

I was at resolution ranch for about 6 months. During my time there was ups and downs, it s hard as a student and resident to truly appreciate the ranch and its lifestyle, but within days of leaving I quickly realized how good I had it there and how much I was going to miss it. It did wonders for me as it has so many others and I can t wait to watch and hear about more kids having their lives improved. My biggest thing that made me unsure was the fact of the obvious, your putting 20 troubled teens within an enclosed space who are upset, recovering and generally angry. There are and were problems and honestly sometimes it was severe, i myself was to a extent a bully, and got in a few physical altercations, BUT regardless of the fact that many of us disliked and even hated each-other, we had a general level of brotherhood. No one did the one thing that mightve made me truly lose my cool. This being messing with my garden, i was very proud of my garden and it was my coping skill, i tended to it multiple times a day, watered it twice a day, weeded it daily, checked for pests, tilled it every week it was my ranch livelyhood, i couldve woken up and only gardened the entire day and been happy doing it. And despite me having a few people who i hated or hated me, specifically one resident. No one messed with my garden and i didnt mess with anyone else's coping skill. And while im not a small guy i dont truly believe this was out of fear or worry. In all honesty the place isnt the best itself, the websites outdated and the place needs fixing. But i liked the ranch alot and kinda want to visit sometime. Also hey did my garden do well after i left? I miss my baby.-Nicholas Roberson

My first time at this clinic. I was skeptical at first but I was pleasantly surprised by the care they took to welcome me to their clinic and take care of my needs. Although some services are out of their control, basic necessities are met and in timely manner. HIghly recommen.

I have not yet been to the new clinic so i can not evaluate that at this time. However, this review is based on NP Laurie Collis alone. She is indeed the very best. Most VA providers should take a page from her book!! I have been in the VA system for over two decades and she is the best provider I have ever had at the VA.

More Than Rehab is the best program out of the multiple programs I’ve experienced! The location is a home not an institution. Also you get to go to the real world for meetings, church, and outings which include movies and bowling and ice cream paid for by MTR. It’s really important because you learn that being sober can be a lot of fun! The techs are usually recovered addicts who really do understand what you are going through. I highly recommend More Than Rehab.
