I have seen a lot of growth with girls invested in the program. For girls who left the program, there were a lot prayers and real loss felt. My counselor, Ms. Kimberly Isaac, was amazing — she took the time to actually understand what I was going through and helped me work through a lot of stuff instead of just going through the motions. The nursing staff, Jessica and Brianna, also deserve a shoutout, they were attentive and made sure I was taken care of every step of the way, even when I wasn't the easiest patient to deal with. Just leaving a comment as a program volunteer. I honestly feel like the Boaz House provides Christian support, sisterhood advice and valuable connections. Between religious studies, counseling, church and volunteer opportunities each person in the program has the opportunity for success. These skills only helped girls transition into sober living. I have seen a lot of growth with girls invested in the program. For girls who left the program, there were a lot prayers and real loss felt. The staff member I worked closely with definitely gave 120% love & support to the girls.

The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. When I say staff, I mean EVERYONE. From the techs, to the medical staff, to the housekeeping(they do your laundry), to the groundskeepers, counselors, everybody. This is world-class, luxury, top-tier care. Margaret was my tech for my TMS treatments. She made my experience so pleasant. I felt so warm and safe as the TMS machine can be intimidating with the loud tapping noise. I spent time at Skyward Addiction Treatment Center in Sugar Land and it really helped me turn things around. My counselor, Ms. Kimberly Isaac, was amazing — she took the time to actually understand what I was going through and helped me work through a lot of stuff instead of just going through the motions. The nursing staff, Jessica and Brianna, also deserve a shoutout, they were attentive and made sure I was taken care of every step of the way, even when I wasn't the easiest patient to deal with. Recovery isn't easy but having people like this in your corner makes all the difference. Would recommend Skyward to anyone who's serious about getting better. David W.

Positive Recovery is a game changer. I've been on my own recovery road for years by myself but l've never been able to connect all the pieces to stay sober. PRC provided me with tools I could use on a day to day basis that help me through life's situations as they come. Glenn, one of the counselors at the Cinco Ranch location, is very insightful and actually in recovery himself. He could relate to what I've been through and what I go through daily. This program is just different. Ive been in programs before and they were very surface level, but if youre willing to put in the work, these therapists and counselors are determined to help you in the healing process and deeply. Im really glad I took this step for myself to become a more well person and I hope others choose this step for themselves too with this program because it is worth it. You are worth it. I didn't like it at first because I had subconsciously thought of it as a "group failures" class along with the stigma and bad rep that media shows of such programs, but once I paid attention, I realized that these programs provide tools and methods of how we can identify the traumas that are buried within ourselves.

I just wanted to take a moment to share my experience as a parent who had to make the difficult decision to admit my son here due to his behavior. Honestly, the reviews do not do justice to the level of care and treatment my son received. The doctor was able to pinpoint exactly what I had been seeing and experiencing with my son and provided us with advice, guidance, and information that we truly needed. As a parent, having someone listen, understand, and help you make sense of what your child is going through meant so much to us. I also want to recognize the great customer service we received from the outpatient staff. In particular, Julio was wonderful. He provided excellent customer service, was kind, helpful, and made us feel welcomed and supported throughout the process. I am truly grateful for the care my son received and for the staff who took the time to help our family. Thank you for everything you do.

Okay, I thought I'd give a shout out to this VA outpatient center in Katie. Because I see the low numbers, and I don't think it's a fair deal to give a negative review for negative experiences in a system that's full of bureaucracy. When people are just trying to do their jobs, the only complaint I have about this clinic is that I can't keep a primary care physician. They keep leaving, but that has nothing to do with the clinic that's, I don't know, maybe the theory. The doctors aren't happy with the pay or the bureaucracy or the workload. I don't know, but it's a lot asked of them to help us veterans. So I appreciate the effort that they put out every day. They come to work, they deal with us. Sometimes we can be difficult as vets, because we have a lot of issues that we're dealing with the military can really screw you up Lionel, so for them to have the patience, anybody in the medical field, my mom was ALV. N for 24 years before she passed and my hat goes off to anybody in the medical profession. Because I know it's not easy work. Some of the stories she would tell when she came home were horrifying, and I hope that I don't ever become one of those problem patient. Um, but this is just a shout out to the K. V. A the wait times aren't that long. I've never had to wait 22 long for an appointment and if they have the availability in the schedule, they'll fit you in.So I guess it's all a matter of perspective.You can go into a situation with a negative attitude and get a negative experience, or you can go in with a positive attitude.And if negative things happen, they brush off of you.So my advice is to just be calm and be patient.

I noticed the average rating was only 2.3 stars, so I was quite worried when I checked my son in, afraid that he might have a difficult experience. However, it turned out to be completely different. He actually enjoyed his stay and really liked the activities, nurses, and therapists. During his one-week stay, he learned a lot and gained many valuable insights. I loved my time here. As much as the reason sucked and I was very hesitant to go, especially after seeing the reviews, I am so grateful for my time here and the people I met and so glad I chose this place. I could not thank this place enough for helping me in my recovery, finding myself, and helping my self esteem. The reviews do not do this place justice, not to invalidate anyones experience here. Center for discovery saved my life. The bad reviews scared me at first and I was nervous to go. Once I got there I found a place where I felt understood and seen. The first time I went I did not take it seriously. I’m happy I got the chance for them to help me again. One thing people don’t understand is treatment is not magic, you have to put in the work too. They helped aid me in my recovery process and now I feel better than ever. It is what you make of it. The staff is absolutely incredible and easy to talk to and bond with. I met patients there that I now consider my friends. It’s helpful to be around people that understand. Chrystal is an amazing staff member who is respectful and caring. All the nurses are very thoughtful and they made every day a little easier. I found that saying goodbye was hard but every person there helped shape me into who I am right now. I now can look forward to my future and am excited to live and feel like myself again. Center for discovery was fun and helpful I am always grateful. I highly recommend getting treatment here.

Our family will be forever grateful to Nexus Children’s Hospital. Our son got the best care and our family was able to rest during his stay. Anytime I needed an update on him, we were able to speak with someone right away. Our concerns were addressed quickly and family was able to visit. We wanted our son to have his medications adjusted in a safe environment and his behaviors monitored. All his needs were met. Nexus Children’s Hospital saved our family. Will’s team will hold a special place in our hearts.
