Just leaving a comment as a program volunteer. I honestly feel like the Boaz House provides Christian support, sisterhood advice and valuable connections. Between religious studies, counseling, church and volunteer opportunities each person in the program has the opportunity for success. These skills only helped girls transition into sober living. I have seen a lot of growth with girls invested in the program. For girls who left the program, there were a lot prayers and real loss felt. The staff member I worked closely with definitely gave 120% love & support to the girls.

The Boaz House transformed my life in more way than one. I have battled with addiction for 17 years and been to a couple rehabs none was like this one. Christina truly cares about her clients and goes above and beyond to help them. I didn't think this program was for me but after completing it and seeing how much this changes lives I have decided to stay here, became staff and am now giving back.

The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. When I say staff, I mean EVERYONE. From the techs, to the medical staff, to the housekeeping(they do your laundry), to the groundskeepers, counselors, everybody. This is world-class, luxury, top-tier care. If you want to do it right and you believe that you get what you pay for, this is the place for you. I'm a current resident who has been here for just over a week and am already planning to extend my stay another 30 days.

I’ve been to the ParC three times; twice very recently. At the tail end of my last stay I had an absolute horrendous encounter with the CEO and another staff member. Both of their behaviors were disgusting, petty, dishonest, and totally contrary to ethical patient care. That said, I cannot totally bash the place. The vast majority of the staff is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately I’ve been to a lot of treatment centers and my overall staff experience at the ParC was better than any place I’ve been. The place is undergoing a lot of changes. A great deal of staff have left recently and I’ve heard a lot of complaints from staff about the upper leadership. For the most part the technicians, nurses, and counselors are truly great. Most of them truly, truly care about the patients and their success. There really isn’t a bad counselor there and a couple of them are the absolute best you will find. The program is a whole lot of classes. You get breaks in between but you are going to groups, classes, or meetings for 12 hours a day. As far as patient education it’s really a great place. If you’re serious about getting better, it’s the best place I know of. It is undergoing changes though. I write this on 9/11/2026 and the staff is having a lot of turnover. If it wasn’t for my disgusting interaction with the CEO and one particular care coordinator I would give this place an honest 5 star review. But the staff and patient moral had a noticeable decline in the 50 or so days I was there. That said, I am eternally grateful for the ParC and have a real love for a lot of the people that work there. Hopefully the upper management either leaves or adjusts things because this is a great place for recovery and I truly hope it stays that way.
Edit 9/15/2026- The CEO left soon after my post. Hopefully things will return around. This is a great place to recover and I hope things improve.

Margaret was my tech for my TMS treatments. She made my experience so pleasant. I felt so warm and safe as the TMS machine can be intimidating with the loud tapping noise. Margaret was also very knowledgeable of these treatments and so all my questions were answered. And the best part is that I started feeling better and this really helped with my depression. I would highly recommend the TMS treatments at Anew Era, especially if Margaret is your tech!

This program is just different. Ive been in programs before and they were very surface level, but if youre willing to put in the work, these therapists and counselors are determined to help you in the healing process and deeply. Im really glad I took this step for myself to become a more well person and I hope others choose this step for themselves too with this program because it is worth it. You are worth it. And they will advocate for you all the way.

Skyward drug rehab is great. My son only planned to stay a few days, but he ended up staying for 6 weeks because he liked it so much. We are from Fort Worth and decided to come to Houston just to change his surroundings, and it was the right call. The staff are genuine and really care. These people have saved my life time and time again. Even when im crazy 🤪 they have always shown me so much love ❤️ and support the nurses are so caring 💗 even john is ok lol 😆 but Mrs Tina is the glue that keeps symetria together. She has thought me so much she is a amazing smart and classy woman. Her and Regina have changed my life. The adult out-patient group therapy is amazing. I didn't like it at first because I had subconsciously thought of it as a "group failures" class along with the stigma and bad rep that media shows of such programs, but once I paid attention, I realized that these programs provide tools and methods of how we can identify the traumas that are buried within ourselves.

I came seeking help for my daughter, they are helping her so much. I've seen a change in here since the therapy has started. It was overwhelming for me as a parent to seek help part of a Mental Hospital, but it has helped her tremendously and I'm glad I took her there. Thank you to the staff and therapist for your help. Center for discovery saved my life. The bad reviews scared me at first and I was nervous to go. Once I got there I found a place where I felt understood and seen. The first time I went I did not take it seriously. I’m happy I got the chance for them to help me again. One thing people don’t understand is treatment is not magic, you have to put in the work too. They helped aid me in my recovery process and now I feel better than ever. It is what you make of it. The staff is absolutely incredible and easy to talk to and bond with. I met patients there that I now consider my friends. It’s helpful to be around people that understand. Chrystal is an amazing staff member who is respectful and caring. All the nurses are very thoughtful and they made every day a little easier. I found that saying goodbye was hard but every person there helped shape me into who I am right now. I now can look forward to my future and am excited to live and feel like myself again. Center for discovery was fun and helpful I am always grateful. I highly recommend getting treatment here.

The place is nice and the staff is nice they let you see movies and hear music but sometimes if the staff see a fight beginning they will ask you to stay in your room for a while and later they will let you leave your room and there are also group time for doing something like art and pet therapy and they will also give you snacks but if you are going to bring things you should not bring anything with string with them because the staff will tell you that you need to keep the one that has string

Our family will be forever grateful to Nexus Children’s Hospital. Our son got the best care and our family was able to rest during his stay. Anytime I needed an update on him, we were able to speak with someone right away. Our concerns were addressed quickly and family was able to visit. I took my child there for about 3yrs. It was a huge help! They provided my child with tools to help her deal and process different situations in life. At first it was a bit slow because my child was apprehensive but once she started opening up, then there started to be progress. Understand that this is a two way street. You get as much as you put into it. Also, as a parent you have to be open and willing to take responsibility for your part, as well as patient and understanding of the process. The change and progress is gradual. I beg you from one parent to another, don’t be the one to stump your child’s emotional and mental health. I recommend therapy to any and everyone who is willing to listen. There is a better way, for a better tomorrow.
