He recently had a massive heart attack due to drug use and his situation was becoming dire. We knew if he didn't get help he wasn't going to make it much longer. He finally agreed to get treatment and my sister found this place. He went from not wanting to go to rehab to not wanting to leave this place. He absolutely loved it and loves everyone there. He considers them family. He completed his treatment and the staff is still there to offer him support and help him succeed. Andy has been amazing at helping him find out patient programs. We used to celebrate worshipping in Spanish with fellow brothers that used to visited on Thursday and sundays. Change is never easy and it is hard to change and break away from the thinking errors you've survived on all your life. But people change. People change when the pain not to change exceeds the pain to change. It takes a real man to accept the facts that what you're doing isn't working. If you ask for admission, you'd better be ready to change. Leave all those thinking errors at the gate. If you think you just need a place to crash, then this placement isn't right for you, and that will be obvious and you probably won't make it. Lois (A nurse there) she is such am amazing lady with a warm and caring heart!!! She is just AMAZING and I love her!! Dina , the nurse who distributes the medication as well as my take home meds, she is so very sweet and Kind!! And of course My Case worker, Moses, is just the sweetest!! I have been going to this particular clinic regularly for about a year now, after we moved back here from Arizona to be close to our family, and Yes, It is the most the most expensive clinic I have been to, But I wouldn't ever think of going anywhere else , strictly because of the wonderful Nurses and caring Case manager! Thank you ladies for always being kind to me, and for always having a smile on your face , and for NEVER judging me!!! I love my PSAC FAMILY!!!! Even my husband loved it!, and he hate’s hospitals from all the bad experiences we encountered. Everyone was SOOO nice, from the nice lady in the front checking me in, to the security guards & to all the nurses/doctors! Everyone was just so nice and patient, didn’t feel like i was rushed out the door or pushed aside. I wish i got everyone’s names but they were all so great. I went around 5:30 pm ,and it was empty and they were super fast with the check in and everything. The only part that took long was waiting on results but of course that’s expected! I also love that they check you before you come in with the detector for everyone’s safety. Im definitely going to always pick this hospital as my #1 when i have any concerns. Thank you guys!! There were different options on time slots, the classes weren't too big where you'd get anxiety, but they were big enough and diversified enough where I felt comfortable sharing. Even though I did not want to be there, and I made it perfectly clear from the get-go, the staff was super kind and put up with all my BS with a smile! Admissions was extremely easy and if I remember correctly either the state or Medicaid covered the cost. For a cheaper outpatient option, this was one of the better ones I have been to. It was hard sometimes, people dont want to listen and its easy to succumb to negative influences, but these people here genuinely care about the kids they look after. I got to know alot on a personal level and alot of them had been through alot of the same stuff i had been through and could relate. I will say this as someone who has been through alot, you want someone who can relate to you when it comes to a rehabilitation situation. Its easier to trust someone when you know they can feel that pain too. Dont listen to all these lame people giving one stars, none of them know what they're talking about. The councilors and tech staff genuinely want to see these kids do good. They helped me see i had a problem and it isnt right that people want to bash them when they have done so much for me and my peers from that time in my life. They fed us great, we went on trips and before I left we went to the U of H for an anniversary party and it was some o the best memories of my life. they were strict but we were still able to have fun. I do not know her specific story, and it is incredibly tragic. I am also truly sorry that others felt their experience there was abusive. Everyone’s journey is different. However, I want to share my own reality because I know how scary it is for parents reading these reviews. My son actually went to Shiloh's Residential Treatment Center (RTC) twice prior to attending school there. Later on, his home campus had to transfer him to Shiloh for school because they couldn't safely manage his behaviors. My son is extremely aggressive and schizophrenic, and his episodes go from zero to 100 in an instant. Because of that, I support safe physical restraint when a person is actively attempting to harm themselves or others—it is a harsh reality, but sometimes necessary for safety. Through both of his RTC stays and his time at the school, he never had a single problem with the staff. In fact, they were very pleasant and they actually helped him. Everyone is receptive to therapy differently, but from my personal experience, Shiloh provided the consistent support my son needed when his regular school couldn't. I pray that the loved ones of the young lady find peace and healing. At the beginning of 2019 i could have never imagined how the year would end. Our daughter had been struggling with addiction since college. Her therapist recommended BARC and when she came out of the recovery center, she was not even close to the person she went in as. She embraced the program and did the work to better herself and her life. Fast forward to 2026, she is still sober and is living a full life now with a supportive husband and two beautiful daughters. This place was truly a life saver!! They stopped what they were doing twice within 3 weeks to come rescue me from myself over an hour and a half away. The staff is amazing and really care about your state of well-being. They don't care if you like them, they care if you live and that's the most comforting thing about this place. My dad has struggled with drug addiction for 25+ years. He recently had a massive heart attack due to drug use and his situation was becoming dire. We knew if he didn't get help he wasn't going to make it much longer. He finally agreed to get treatment and my sister found this place. He went from not wanting to go to rehab to not wanting to leave this place. He absolutely loved it and loves everyone there. He considers them family. He completed his treatment and the staff is still there to offer him support and help him succeed. Andy has been amazing at helping him find out patient programs. They truly care here. I couldn’t say enough great things about BARC. House 3 is where my entire life changed and changed for the better. I learned so much about myself, alcoholism / addiction and exactly how it affected me. When you understand “The Stickman” then it all starts making sense. The staff at BARC is amazing. They don’t just talk about alcoholism / addiction that they’ve learned from a book. Everyone there has been there before and knows first hand what they are talking about and teaching. There is not a place on earth I could recommend more highly than BARC for recovery. My stay here on unit 6 was a positive and transformative experience. The providers are great! And truly care about their patients! I’m only giving 4 stars because if it weren’t for the walk in, intake woman, I’d give 5….. This is a MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC, you should really conduct yourself as if you work for a mental health clinic. If people walking up to your desk for services annoys you so bad, you should find another career. This isn’t your calling! I literally quit coming to this place, solely because of the women in the front. It seems like there are new people, but the walk in, intake woman is no different than the women I remember previously! You don’t know what people are going through, if you can’t even fake a positive attitude in a MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC, maybe just find another career. Bleeding on others cause you’re miserable is unacceptable!!

Change is never easy and it is hard to change and break away from the thinking errors you've survived on all your life. But people change. People change when the pain not to change exceeds the pain to change. It takes a real man to accept the facts that what you're doing isn't working. If you ask for admission, you'd better be ready to change. Leave all those thinking errors at the gate. If you think you just need a place to crash, then this placement isn't right for you, and that will be obvious and you probably won't make it. The Nurses there are absolute ANGELS!! Lois (A nurse there) she is such am amazing lady with a warm and caring heart!!! She is just AMAZING and I love her!! Dina , the nurse who distributes the medication as well as my take home meds, she is so very sweet and Kind!! And of course My Case worker, Moses, is just the sweetest!! I have been going to this particular clinic regularly for about a year now, after we moved back here from Arizona to be close to our family, and Yes, It is the most the most expensive clinic I have been to, But I wouldn't ever think of going anywhere else , strictly because of the wonderful Nurses and caring Case manager! I never write reviews , however i had to because honestly this is one of the only hospitals who helped me & listened to my concerns. Even my husband loved it!, and he hate’s hospitals from all the bad experiences we encountered. Everyone was SOOO nice, from the nice lady in the front checking me in, to the security guards & to all the nurses/doctors! Everyone was just so nice and patient, didn’t feel like i was rushed out the door or pushed aside. I wish i got everyone’s names but they were all so great. I went around 5:30 pm ,and it was empty and they were super fast with the check in and everything. The only part that took long was waiting on results but of course that’s expected! I also love that they check you before you come in with the detector for everyone’s safety. Im definitely going to always pick this hospital as my #1 when i have any concerns. Thank you guys!!

It's been a few years since I've been to this place, it was a required outpatient program that I had to do for a legal matter. There were different options on time slots, the classes weren't too big where you'd get anxiety, but they were big enough and diversified enough where I felt comfortable sharing. Even though I did not want to be there, and I made it perfectly clear from the get-go, the staff was super kind and put up with all my BS with a smile! Admissions was extremely easy and if I remember correctly either the state or Medicaid covered the cost. For a cheaper outpatient option, this was one of the better ones I have been to. Overall a pretty decent experience for a rehab facility!

Went here when i was 16 around 2016, i will tell you this, this place will challenge your way of thinking. It was hard sometimes, people dont want to listen and its easy to succumb to negative influences, but these people here genuinely care about the kids they look after. I got to know alot on a personal level and alot of them had been through alot of the same stuff i had been through and could relate. I will say this as someone who has been through alot, you want someone who can relate to you when it comes to a rehabilitation situation. Its easier to trust someone when you know they can feel that pain too. Dont listen to all these lame people giving one stars, none of them know what they're talking about. The councilors and tech staff genuinely want to see these kids do good. They helped me see i had a problem and it isnt right that people want to bash them when they have done so much for me and my peers from that time in my life. If any of you guys see this i love yall and hope yall are doing good. Especially you Ms Haynes and mr Colbert!

I spent almost 6 months here back in 2015-16. I'm 22 now. Mr Wyllie, Ms Wendy, Mr Omar, Mr Antwuan, Mr E , Mr Aladin , all great people. I think about them, my fellow brothers and this place often. My counselor Mr Robinson was awesome as well. They fed us great, we went on trips and before I left we went to the U of H for an anniversary party and it was some o the best memories of my life. they were strict but we were still able to have fun. They looked out and cared about us. I was hard headed and didn't want to listen and I all these years later it hits me.

If Unlimited Visions Aftercare did not exist, my son wouldn’t be alive today. My son overdosed while at this facility and they immediately started life support. They called me while I was at work, facilitated him an ambulance ride that got him to Texas Children’s Hospital. Had this place not existed, I would’ve found my teenage son dead at home after work that day. Also my son was a unique case, he was kicked out of some of the bigger name rehabs and we were running out of options for help. When we were out of options, Unlimited Visions was the only place there to help. For that I am forever grateful. As for the negative comments I am seeing. This place may not have the biggest funding, budget or greatest marketing. But I thank God it exists in my community, because I know for sure it saved one life.

Does rehab is awesome my sister is there they do 3 AA meetings every day and two big book studies, they have a lot of events including alcathon which is May 1st through the 3rd where they will have 24-hour meetings for 3 days straight along with food 10.00 minimum donation

They treat me with respect,like I'm a human being.unlike other medical facilities that don't see or hear me,all they see is a junkie and treat me terrible.just because people have addictions doesn't mean they are bad people,they are just going through some rough times and if they are seeking help with their addiction I think that is the first step to success.i appreciate their help,their kindness and the fact that they see me not a junkie.ive never had a bad day with them,I've never had anything bad to say about them they are great and if you need help this is the best place to go.

I lived here back in 2003-2004. The place itself is huge and provided us with lots to do throughout the year. They also took us on a variety of off campus field trips that were always a blast! To this day, I have maintained friendships with people including staff/teachers that I will forever cherish. Likewise, for it being such a rough time in my life, my experiences here, (for the most part) helped get me through it.

I am so sorry to hear that a young girl lost her life at Shiloh back in 2001; I had never heard that story until now. I do not know her specific story, and it is incredibly tragic. I am also truly sorry that others felt their experience there was abusive. Everyone’s journey is different. However, I want to share my own reality because I know how scary it is for parents reading these reviews. My son actually went to Shiloh's Residential Treatment Center (RTC) twice prior to attending school there. Later on, his home campus had to transfer him to Shiloh for school because they couldn't safely manage his behaviors. My son is extremely aggressive and schizophrenic, and his episodes go from zero to 100 in an instant. Because of that, I support safe physical restraint when a person is actively attempting to harm themselves or others—it is a harsh reality, but sometimes necessary for safety. Through both of his RTC stays and his time at the school, he never had a single problem with the staff. In fact, they were very pleasant and they actually helped him. Everyone is receptive to therapy differently, but from my personal experience, Shiloh provided the consistent support my son needed when his regular school couldn't. I pray that the loved ones of the young lady find peace and healing.
