Once I got there I found a place where I felt understood and seen. The first time I went I did not take it seriously. I’m happy I got the chance for them to help me again. One thing people don’t understand is treatment is not magic, you have to put in the work too. They helped aid me in my recovery process and now I feel better than ever. It is what you make of it. The staff is absolutely incredible and easy to talk to and bond with. I met patients there that I now consider my friends. It’s helpful to be around people that understand. Chrystal is an amazing staff member who is respectful and caring. All the nurses are very thoughtful and they made every day a little easier. I found that saying goodbye was hard but every person there helped shape me into who I am right now. I now can look forward to my future and am excited to live and feel like myself again. Firstly, I was allowed to bring my fur baby with me which was a wonderful comfort to me. I don’t think I would have done as well without having her with me. The facilities are clean and well-kempt. The staff is caring, understanding, and genuinely invested in your unique recovery journey (Jacob and Sunny are phenomenal). The therapists authentically understand the journey to recovery and ensure everyone feels respected and heard. While your recovery is taken seriously and put in the work, they make the process fun and relatable. The physician and nursing staff is thorough and available 24/7 - they care about each patient and their bedside manner is impeccable. They are NOT autonomous robots like you see with a lot of other medical facilities. Nursing even does occasional group sessions on the medical aspects of recovery, post-recovery preventative care. You are even sent home with a supply of medications to help bridge the gap between discharge and your own provider. And the food… where do I start? I have travelled all over the country for work, eating at high end hotels and restaurants yet the thrice daily meal here far exceeded in quality and variety. The thrice daily, freshly cooked international cuisines were amazing! They also have juices, sodas, flavored water, coffee, teas, high end snacks, and even ice cream available 24/7. They have working washers and dryers and even provide Tide pods and dryer sheets. The outside grounds are peaceful and the outside activities during and after group sessions are relaxing. My first Therapist was Lee Willis a phenomenal therapist for anyone living with gender dysphoria. Since then I’ve had sporadic experiences at MCC from 1995 till 2008. However, when I move back to Houston in 2008 I started going To MCC consistently especially after 2009. I’ve had some wonderful case managers and therapist from Mandy Lloyd in 2009 till Daniel Perez now. I can honestly say there’re people who work at MCC who authentically care about the LGBTQ+ community of Houston very much, and those same people are willing to provide exceptional services for anyone regardless of their sexual orientation, gender, religion, or race to me that’s commendable. I lost my Therapist/ Friend Mike Ator in November Of last year 11-04-24 was the day I was told he had passed away, and that news shook me to my core it was devastating heartbreaking news. Margaret was my tech for my TMS treatments. She made my experience so pleasant. I felt so warm and safe as the TMS machine can be intimidating with the loud tapping noise. Margaret was also very knowledgeable of these treatments and so all my questions were answered. And the best part is that I started feeling better and this really helped with my depression. I would highly recommend the TMS treatments at Anew Era, especially if Margaret is your tech!

Center for discovery saved my life. The bad reviews scared me at first and I was nervous to go. Once I got there I found a place where I felt understood and seen. The first time I went I did not take it seriously. I’m happy I got the chance for them to help me again. One thing people don’t understand is treatment is not magic, you have to put in the work too. They helped aid me in my recovery process and now I feel better than ever. It is what you make of it. The staff is absolutely incredible and easy to talk to and bond with. I met patients there that I now consider my friends. It’s helpful to be around people that understand. Chrystal is an amazing staff member who is respectful and caring. All the nurses are very thoughtful and they made every day a little easier. I found that saying goodbye was hard but every person there helped shape me into who I am right now. I now can look forward to my future and am excited to live and feel like myself again. Center for discovery was fun and helpful I am always grateful. I highly recommend getting treatment here.

Ok hear me out …..I didn’t have any issues . If you are worried about wait time just show up at 7 you are still going to have to wait a few hours but not like a crazy wait time . If you come after 7 expect to be there a while ….i walked in did paperwork got evaluated(I already have a diagnosis) and dr appointment scheduled next day for meds in less then 3 hours very fast easy process (IF) you come at 7 . I’m sure it’s easy after 7 as a well just maybe not so fast …. Hope it helped.

The facility is magnificent and far exceeded my expectations of a recovery facility. Firstly, I was allowed to bring my fur baby with me which was a wonderful comfort to me. I don’t think I would have done as well without having her with me. The facilities are clean and well-kempt. The staff is caring, understanding, and genuinely invested in your unique recovery journey (Jacob and Sunny are phenomenal). The therapists authentically understand the journey to recovery and ensure everyone feels respected and heard. While your recovery is taken seriously and put in the work, they make the process fun and relatable. The physician and nursing staff is thorough and available 24/7 - they care about each patient and their bedside manner is impeccable. They are NOT autonomous robots like you see with a lot of other medical facilities. Nursing even does occasional group sessions on the medical aspects of recovery, post-recovery preventative care. You are even sent home with a supply of medications to help bridge the gap between discharge and your own provider. And the food… where do I start? I have travelled all over the country for work, eating at high end hotels and restaurants yet the thrice daily meal here far exceeded in quality and variety. The thrice daily, freshly cooked international cuisines were amazing! They also have juices, sodas, flavored water, coffee, teas, high end snacks, and even ice cream available 24/7. They have working washers and dryers and even provide Tide pods and dryer sheets. The outside grounds are peaceful and the outside activities during and after group sessions are relaxing. They have karaoke, acupuncture, movie nights, and yoga among other activities. I highly recommend this facility!

I spent time at Skyward Addiction Treatment Center in Sugar Land and it really helped me turn things around. My counselor, Ms. Kimberly Isaac, was amazing — she took the time to actually understand what I was going through and helped me work through a lot of stuff instead of just going through the motions. The nursing staff, Jessica and Brianna, also deserve a shoutout, they were attentive and made sure I was taken care of every step of the way, even when I wasn't the easiest patient to deal with. Positive Recovery is a game changer. I've been on my own recovery road for years by myself but l've never been able to connect all the pieces to stay sober. PRC provided me with tools I could use on a day to day basis that help me through life's situations as they come. Glenn, one of the counselors at the Cinco Ranch location, is very insightful and actually in recovery himself. He could relate to what I've been through and what I go through daily. This program is just different. Ive been in programs before and they were very surface level, but if youre willing to put in the work, these therapists and counselors are determined to help you in the healing process and deeply. Im really glad I took this step for myself to become a more well person and I hope others choose this step for themselves too with this program because it is worth it. You are worth it. So thankful for my Santa Maria Family. My sister was her about 3 times in 2 years. Every time we tried to get her admitted, we didn’t follow protocol and the staff always assisted us and she was always approved! The staff looked out for my sister and niece, it takes a village and thank god for each and every staff member here! From the counselors to the security. I still updated them on my sister because I know they care for her. I never got to visit inside so no comment but i witnessed my sister get her own place, look healthier by the day and get employment. She a break and time to recover. I was placed here by the court, and I'm glad I was because this program taught me a lot. It helped me grow, strengthen my faith in God, and showed me how therapy and music can help people express their emotions and see life in a new way. Thank you to everyone who works here. A couple of suggestions I have are: In the shower, water collects around the handle and doesn't drain well. I'm worried it could cause mold over time, so maybe adding a small drain hole could help. For the night snack, I think two sandwiches instead of one would be nice. I asked a few others, and many agreed. Some also said hot chips would be a good addition. I don't know everything that goes into running this place, but I just wanted to share my thoughts. Thank you again for everything you do.

This place was truly a life saver!! They stopped what they were doing twice within 3 weeks to come rescue me from myself over an hour and a half away. My dad has struggled with drug addiction for 25+ years. He recently had a massive heart attack due to drug use and his situation was becoming dire. We knew if he didn't get help he wasn't going to make it much longer. He finally agreed to get treatment and my sister found this place. He went from not wanting to go to rehab to not wanting to leave this place. He absolutely loved it and loves everyone there. He considers them family. He completed his treatment and the staff is still there to offer him support and help him succeed. Andy has been amazing at helping him find out patient programs. They truly care here. They deserve more than 5 stars.

I’ve Known Of Montrose Counseling/Community Center since Summer of 1995. During That Time MCC was located on Richmond Avenue in a beautiful but smaller building than they’re in now. My first Therapist was Lee Willis a phenomenal therapist for anyone living with gender dysphoria. Since then I’ve had sporadic experiences at MCC from 1995 till 2008. However, when I move back to Houston in 2008 I started going To MCC consistently especially after 2009. I’ve had some wonderful case managers and therapist from Mandy Lloyd in 2009 till Daniel Perez now. I can honestly say there’re people who work at MCC who authentically care about the LGBTQ+ community of Houston very much, and those same people are willing to provide exceptional services for anyone regardless of their sexual orientation, gender, religion, or race to me that’s commendable. I lost my Therapist/ Friend Mike Ator in November Of last year 11-04-24 was the day I was told he had passed away, and that news shook me to my core it was devastating heartbreaking news. I miss him greatly and that’s the kind of people that work at MCC phenomenal people who truly care and reaffirm to their clients they matter. In closing, I wholeheartedly recommend MCC to anyone who seeking services like Mental Wellness, Community groups to network, groups that meet to discuss life’s challenges, and helping people who are apart of the LGBTQ+ community by reaffirming the fact YOU MATTER 🤗 I Sincerely And Unequivocally give MCC Five Stars For being a lighthouse In Dark Times Thank You ☺️ GOD Bless 🙏🏾 !!!!!! I had a great experience connecting with the team at New Dimensions Day Treatment Centers. Robert took the time to walk me through their Woodlands location and let me know about the other services offered in the Greater Houston Area. I was able to meet and speak with Laura Alper a very sweet and grounded clinician who really wants to make a difference. Aracely at the front desk was also so kind and welcoming, which sets the tone from the moment you call or walk in. Overall, the team was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in the people they serve. You can really feel that this is more than a job to them, it’s a mission. This was the best decision I could have made for my mental wellness. Everyone has life issues and experiences. Sometimes you don’t know you need professional help until you’re in the middle of it. Well I was. I am blessed to have a support system who was on board for my self care. I researched various IOPs/PHPs that my psychiatrist suggested. The Heights Treatment sounded like the best fit for me. Based on reviews and researching the area, solidified my choice to start treatment there. So I did. From the intake for IOP5, to individual therapy sessions, to group sessions including equine therapy, to individual sessions with Dr. R, was well thought out to get this group of professionals to help people. The one who held it together with scheduling to communicating to even listening for a couple of minutes in passing, was truly a blessing. Their client care services, Adam, is kind and professional. They all make you feel welcome. Bre - my therapist, help tremendously. Various group sessions, helped me realize so much. They gave me the tools to help me reach my goals. They helped me choose to do the work. Be it daily checking in, verbalizing my emotion at the time, concerns, etc, these are the things for me, that were so beneficial in my mental wellness. Trust your gut. Don’t hesitate to get the help. If you choose The Heights Treatment, you will be in great hands.

Heights Treatment was a Godsend and it saved my life. I love how unique each therapist is. They have a wide variety of therapies including equine therapy, emdr, trauma processing, as well as individual and group therapy. Scheduling was easy, the staff was kind and were always available for me when I needed to talk. It is unfortunate that one individual gave this place a 1 star rating - their comment clearly shows that they were rating the wrong place. They mentioned that they work as an EMT and that they were dropping off a stroke patient - but this clinic does not receive stroke patients from EMTs - they are an outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine clinic.
