This is one of New Life for Girls many facilities, this program consists of three phases for a successful Re-Entry into society. I traveled all the way from Illinois to go to New Life Recovery and I am so thankful for making that choice. I've been in several different programs in my life but never had the experiance I got from New Life ! This program changed everything about me ! Ben got me back in shape and motivated to keep myself healthy ! Seham (the best Therapist on Earth) helped me get my mind right, and taught me how to love myself, and helped me let go of a lot of pain that had been heavy for a lot of years ! Chris taught me that it's never too late to do the right thing and that with some hard work and determination I can be the man I've always wanted to be ! Jason hands down has been my biggest motivation, taught me how much fun sobriety can be, always had my back and is someone I am proud to call a friend ! And I will forever call everyone at New Life Recovery my family ! Thanks to everyone at New Life for showing me how to LOVE MY LIFE !! YOUR ALL ROCKSTARS !!!!

New Life Recovery saved my life!!!! They have the best staff, who are so down to earth and caring. My boyfriend and I traveled from Illinois to receive treatment, and we thank God everyday for putting New Life Recovery in our path. Each and every staff member makes you feel like family and truly cares about us and that's a great thing to face each day. I highly recommend this place. I can't say enough about it.

Unprofessional and Unsafe – Avoid This Facility I had an extremely negative experience at New Life Recovery. The program lacks structure, and the staff were unprofessional and neglectful during my detox. I was left without proper support while experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms. No one clearly explained the program to me, and I was treated with disrespect and disregard. The environment felt toxic—therapists and case managers appeared more focused on gossiping in their offices than providing actual support or running effective groups. There was no sense of compassion or professionalism, and I left feeling worse than when I arrived. If you’re looking for real care, structure, and respect, I highly recommend seeking treatment elsewhere. This place seems more concerned about billing than truly helping people heal.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Working at New Life Recovery has been an incredible experience that I am truly grateful for. As a case manager, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals on their journey to healing—helping them rediscover their strengths and take back control of their lives. Being part of the beginning stages and the ongoing development of this program has been nothing short of amazing. I want to give special thanks to Seham ,Matt, Ben, Cindy , Katie, and to all the dedicated staff members who continue to inspire me daily. Your passion, commitment, and heart for this work are what make New Life Recovery such a powerful place of transformation. It’s a blessing to be part of a team that genuinely cares about the people we serve. Together, we are creating real change—one life at a time.

What makes this facility truly stand out is the devoted staff. Each member of the team has a passion for helping people process and work through their addiction. A stand out at New Life is the way holistic healing is incorporated into treatment. The treatment process incorporates naturalistic interventions which helps support patient mental health. Everyone who works this program has a chance at changing their life.

Response from the owner
Thank you for such a thoughtful and uplifting review. We're deeply grateful you recognized the heart our team puts into this work, and we're proud to offer a holistic approach that supports real, lasting healing. It’s an honor to walk alongside each person who comes through our doors.
