Vince 2 months ago I went into FSR Outpatient treatment not knowing what to expect, as I was going because I wanted to quit lying to my husband and be available for my elderly parents sober. What I found was a very caring, kind and empathetic group of people dedicated to my success, teaching me the tools necessary to live life on life's terms sober. All of the case managers and counselors were knowledgeable and they cared about helping me and those in recovery. However my case manager Sara was above and beyond amazing, I came into FSR for everyone in my family but me. Through Sara I not only learned the valuable tools necessary for my recovery, but Sara helped me love myself through this incredible journey. I am forever grateful that I made the decision of choosing FSR and working with such a wonderful team. I am looking forward to better days with staying at baart . It has been over 30 years in and out here with doing detox when they offered that. They assign u to a counselor as soon as u arrive and they have classes to help teach u and understand how to cope with it. Going into the program u have to surrender yourself to change, they have resources to help u get on your feet & become a productive member of society. the biggest plus was the food on occasion and being able to bring my daughter as it is open to mothers and children. The biggest minus where no social passes so u are not allowed to go out of the facility unless u have an appt & also being in pending ( isolation) for the first 5 days from my understanding these changes occured due to covid so they are trying to keep us safe other then that it's probably one of the best facilities to come too. 🤗 elizabeth meraz 4 months ago I am truly grateful for WestCare and the staff while I was there. I want to say that they have a phenomenal program set in place for people who are seeking lifelong sobriety. If you are serious about your recovery and your program, then WestCare in my opinion, is a great place to start! I completed my program in December of 2023 and because of the guidance and tools I was given at WestCare, I remain clean today. I have 20 months and am an active member of the NA program. They assign u to a counselor as soon as u arrive and they have classes to help teach u and understand how to cope with it. Going into the program u have to surrender yourself to change, they have resources to help u get on your feet & become a productive member of society. the biggest plus was the food on occasion and being able to bring my daughter as it is open to mothers and children. The biggest minus where no social passes so u are not allowed to go out of the facility unless u have an appt & also being in pending ( isolation) for the first 5 days from my understanding these changes occured due to covid so they are trying to keep us safe other then that it's probably one of the best facilities to come too. 🤗 elizabeth meraz 4 months ago end of da day, it'z a good place.. some not all staff, genuinely care about u & ur sobriety, & want to c u succeed in life.. & othr staff, well it'z der job, day got bill'z to pay.. & as for rule'z, sum r straight up ridiculous, & sum mak u feel lik ur 5 yr'z old, wit dat said, many rule'z r broken.. i'm not say'n diz is a bad place, cuz it really is not.. evryone has ther own opinion & der own experience, it really is up to u & how u spend ur day'z ther... ma experience was o.k.. in da end, i'm grateful & thankful to all da counselors, teacher'z & staff for bearing wit me & having da opportunity to come here.. i learned alot about myself & addiction.. & i made so much memorie'z dat i will remember for a lifetime, & most importantly so many forevr friend'z.. so i wish u all nothing but da best.. & hope u become a bettr version of urself, now, during recovery & in ur future.. for some, diz might b da last chance to do dat. so dont waste it.. god bless u all.. I am full Native with a white husband and we've only ever been treated like family here by every single staff memeber. My tribe isn't even from California but can you imagine my complete shock when I overheard a staff member speaking Diné Bizáád? I thought I was having hallucinations from being so homesick. I actually cried hearing this woman speak our language and to even call me names I have not heard in years. This wonderful woman was going around referring to each person there as 'shíyazhí' and 'shíwee'. 'My children', 'my babies'. [In our language and matriarichal culture, polite familial terms are exclusively used. Regardless of age, all women are referred to as 'my little mother' and women in the tribe are taught to refer to everyone as 'my child', 'my little one, 'my baby'.] They've been here for us in the most awful times to make sure we're getting the proper care for everything. They make sure we're aware of all sorts of helpful programs, tribal and non-tribal. They've helped us with food, eyeglasses, they helped us register our dogs as emotional support animals and made sure we had the proper paperwork, they've helped with transportation to appointments multiple times a week and when we badly neglected our health for nearly a year... They welcomed us back and got us right back on track. These people have gone to bat for me so many times, even when I'M the one whose made a mistake or misunderstood something. Every person involved in my care has done this. When I say everyone, I do mean everyone. When my husband was hit by a drunk driver and I witnessed it, I could not remember for the life of me what medication he was allergic to. I called here a complete wreck and could barely speak from being in shock but Johnette was so sweet and ON IT, she looked up the medication and wished me best while saying she'd pray for me before the ambulance even arrived at the scene. Nearly four years later and to this day, there are employees who remember us and what we've been through and they still make sure we're taken care of. They made sure I got a therapist and psychiatrist and worked so hard for me during this time too. And lastly, when we sought help for alcohol and drug addiction, this was the only place and doctor willing to take us and help us seek help at a place like MedMark. When my husband was released with no pain medication and Aegis refused to help him because he had a tracheostomy, we were freaking out and had no idea what to do but our doctor here at the time was so reassuring. She researched places, called them, asked questions and made sure we'd 100% be accepted there so no time would be wasted and said to call her if there were any more problems.
