This place has been a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE for me. I am writing this in despair and afraid, after a year trying to solve with them a mistake they made that affected my process to apply to the green card.In September 19, 2023, I went there to do my analysis for the green card, and I paid 300 dollars for the service, with the doctor they decided. It was supposed to be a doctor with a license to do this kind of examinations. Months after that l, I received a letter from USCIS telling me that the physician that made my tests and completed the form was not authorized to do it, and when I called to the clinic they told me USCIS was right, that the doctor had his license expired when he did the exams and filled out my form. Then, they gave me two options: to repeat the tests with a different doctor or a refund. And I chose the refund because I didn t longer trust them. In April 4, 2024, I received the 300 dollars refund. But the story didn t end there.Since that moment, they have been contacting me to charge me the 300 dollars bill and I have been calling them back and explaining to them what happened. I don t know already with how many people in the clinic I have talked with. All of them, I may say, very empathetic, patient and kind, but when I think the problem is already solved, then I receive a new notification saying to me that I have an amount due of 300 dollars for the examinations from September 2023. I even received a call from a collector agency once! And I know this is a ridiculous amount of money, if you consider how high medical bills could be, but the amount of money is not the point. The point is that I shouldn t repay what they already refunded me because a mistake they made. And for me, as a migrant woman and student, 300 dollars represent my groceries for two or three weeks.Right now I just talked with a person there who told me that they were charging me because someone considered that it was patient responsibility the fact that their doctor had his license expired. And I really want to know how this is my responsibility. Patients are expected to have divination powers?I went there because the center was in the USCIS list of authorized centers to provide those type of tests and they made my appointment with that doctor. How I was suppose to know that they didn t know, or perhaps didn t try to know, that the doctor s license had expired? Right now I feel harassed, offended and even scared. I am going to write an official letter to them and contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to address this issue. This has been so stressful for me. And it is just 300 dollars. I can t imagine how would it be with a higher amount and a serious health issue. I just want this to be solved. I feel I am living a nightmare over and over again. I truly do not recommend this place. It has been psychologically the worst medical experience in my life.

After years of bringing my children to this practice (pediatrics, 4th floor), I can no longer tolerate the reception staff, which is truly a shame because our pediatrician was an absolute gem. My partner and I have had numerous frustrating experiences with the reception team over the years rudeness, lack of communication, and long waits (sometimes over an hour with a sick child). Despite these issues, we chose to stay because of the excellent care the nurses and physicians provided. Unfortunately, that's no longer enough.Today was the final straw. I took my two children to get their flu vaccines and was informed that my long-standing insurance through my employer was listed as inactive. I immediately contacted my insurance provider and HR, who assured me the insurance was active. I was told it was a temporary glitch unrelated to me and that any claims submitted would be processed as usual once the issue was resolved within 24 hours.I relayed this information to Francis, the receptionist. I asked if the practice could bill my account temporarily and resubmit if needed (though my insurance assured me it wouldn't come to that). She flat-out refused and insisted on verifying the active status herself. I explained that we were on a tight timeline and asked if my children could be seen while she made the call to my insurance. She said sure and handed me a "non-participating financial agreement," which I gladly signed. I was happy to be billed and confident the matter would be resolved, but the delay continued. We waited for 30 minutes without updates or communication. When I finally asked for a timeline, Francis curtly told me to "wait a minute." Her tone and attitude throughout the interaction were unnecessary and deeply unprofessional. Unfortunately, we had to leave due to another appointment. I later scheduled with CVS, where my insurance was accepted without issue, and the entire process was smooth and respectful.I must leave this review because I have insurance and can navigate these challenges. It breaks my heart to think about the vulnerable families who might face the same obstacles only to be treated dismissively or denied care. I will not return to this practice and am relieved to never deal with Francis again. Unfortunately, unprofessional and uncaring reception staff overshadow such a fantastic team of nurses and physicians.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you choose drug rehab in New York, you'll participate in a variety of treatments that are designed to help you live a drug-free lifestyle. Common methods of treatment include group, individual, and family counseling, medication management, nutrition, exercise, and management of co-occurring mental health disorders.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Scheduled an appointment for annual checkup. I’ve seen this doctor at this location before. Waited a month for my appt date. Went to the office, vitals taken and waiting for the doctor. Staff comes it and tells me my insurance isn’t accepted and I need to sign to accept the full cost. When asked what the full cost would be “we can’t tell you”… 🤯

They canceled my appointments twice, and it’s just so frustrating. They call you to tell you that the visit you’ve been planning for is no longer booked, and instead, they offer you other options… but only in a couple of months. It’s honestly disrespectful, especially when you’ve been waiting so long. I’m really disappointed by this whole process.
