As a clinical social worker running a local group practice, I regularly collaborate and refer clients to Mountainside Treatment Center. Their staff has always been exceptional, especially Courtney Hulse and Dan Sexton, who go above and beyond in tailoring their treatment plans for each client and family. Mountainside serves as a tremendous resource, providing quality substance abuse treatment that is critically needed here on Long Island. My experience with Mountainside has been nothing but positive. Jessica Leone has been key in my recovery. She consistently has a positive attitude, provides great insights and experiences. Jessica listens well and challenges me. She is open whenever needed and feels like one of my biggest supporters. I appreciate all that she does.

Where do I even begin? Steve Dixon and Julia Purcaro have single handedly saved my life. Hands down. Being 18 years old and already in recovery, they have given me every possible skill to succeed in life and have set me up for pure success. I've never dealt with a VA hospital before, and so didn't know what to expect when my father started using their services. I have to say that we have been extremely pleased with what we've experienced.In addition to the very satisfactory medical care he received, another thing that was impressive was the respect with which they treat the veterans. I saw this not only with my father, but with others who I saw in the halls during our visits to their ER and other offices. You could tell that the care they gave sprung from appreciation for their service.Both the doctors and the nurses were always there for us when we needed them. They both made house calls and the nurses were there for us 24/7-- even for emergency house calls in the wee hours of the night/morning.Everything we experienced in our years of interactions with the VA left me with a feeling that socialized medicine could indeed work if done properly. That's not meant to be a political statement, but just an observation of truly good service coming from a government-run agency.My dad recently passed away, so I really want to thank the Northport VA for their service to him. It made a big difference to him and those of us caring for him. I don't know what we would have done without them.

Westport House is well managed and well run. It has all the amenities you could ask for, with resources to get every aspect of your life back on track. The management and staff cares about you, and that's important when trying to better yourself. They really give you an upper hand. I hope I don't need to, but I would recommend anyone to stay here to get their life back on track, and I would again in a heartbeat.

After years of trying everything we could think of, my wife and I finally found Westport House. Our son was admitted quickly and efficiently, and, from that point on, our experience was incredible. After a couple of months we saw a noticeable change in our son. The staff was very timely in their correspondence with us and always treated us appropriately. During his time there, our son became actively involved in Alcoholics Anonymous, obtained employment, and began treating us and others with a level of respect we did not know he was capable of. He stayed there for 7 months, and I can say, it was very much worth every penny. Our son is still sober today and continues to attend the AA meetings that he went to during his time at Westport House. We cannot thank Westport House enough for giving us our son back. After 7 painful years, the change that he was able to make in his life is incredible, and it is all thanks to the great staff and services at Westport House.

After being in and out of many different rehabs, it was at Westport House that I learned how to live a brand new life. The staff was kind, loving, and compassionate. They showed me the way up and out of the horrible rut I was in. They also helped my family understand addiction, and what they needed to do to help me, and themselves. The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable, and the incredibly supportive! Being able to see their therapists and clinical team was also essential in aiding my recovery. I'm so grateful for the life Westport House gave me.

My coach is candid and helpful, they work hard and are always available. Proper recommendations, meets me where I'm at, and has good feedback. Very grateful

I've been to several treatment centers on my path to sobriety. This is the only one that truly cared. The treatment they provide is what sets them apart from the other programs I went to. They even did some family counseling that helped my wife and I repair the marital damage that was done when I was drinking. Thank you Mountainside, Forever Grateful.

Going to south oaks was better than I could have expected. The counselors, staff, nurses, doctors, were all great. They helped me set up a plan for my recovery. I was fed way better than I could have expected. I'm really grateful to have made the decision to go and get some help for myself. Its sad to see all the negative reviews. Maybe cause they were by patients that aren't ready to get well yet. I'm blessed to have gone and would recommend going to anyone that is ready for a reset to get better

Was here at South Oaks back in 2018 the unit was Coed a girl who was on the ward with me recently passed away due to a drug overdose..She should of never been discharged. South Oaks is a great hospital they prepare a discharge plan get you into outpatient treatment. It's up to each person we control our lives and destiny. We ate well had plenty of toiletries.We pretty much could do what we want sleep all day lounge around too bad we can't go for a mini vacation .

Beautiful facility for a healing environment, knowledgeable professionals, and life altering care. Their adolescent unit K House is phenomenally designed for optimal recovery and continue academics along w/ state the art practices. Their dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) program has highly trained staff and practitioners to optimize therapy outcomes.

A Lifesaving Experience for My Son s Broken Arm Exceptional Pediatric ER & Ortho Team!After a terrible experience at another hospital (Cohen LIJ), where the ER team failed us and no one followed up, we were referred to Nassau University Medical Center by our orthopedic specialist. From the moment we arrived, the care was "night-and-day different".Pediatric ER: The wait time was shockingly short, and the team was incredibly kind. My son, Tristan, was seen immediately, and 4-5 different nurses checked on him regularly, making sure he was comfortable. A compassionate Haitian doctor (I wish I got his name!) was thorough and reassuring.Emergency Surgery: We were admitted for an urgent wrist surgery due to a broken bone. The resident orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Omar Saleem (Precision Orthopedics - 161 Willis Ave Mineola), was outstanding. He took the time to explain the procedure in detail, answered all our questions with patience, and treated Tristan with so much empathy. The surgery went smoothly, and I felt confident in his expertise.Post-Op & Discharge: After a 3-hour wait (expected for emergency cases), RN Jin Young Lee handled our discharge with exceptional care. She reviewed all instructions clearly, ensured we understood follow-up care, and was genuinely kind.Hospital Environment: Yes, the building is older, but it s well-kept, clean, and organized. Even the restrooms were neat something I don t take for granted in busy hospitals!I m truly saddened by the negative reviews because our experience was flawless in a high-stress situation. If you need emergency care (especially pediatric) or a skilled orthopedic specialist, I highly recommend NUMC and ask for Dr. Omar Saleem if you need bone-related care.Thank you, NUMC team, for restoring our faith in medical care!

Every person showed extraordinary professionalism. Showed compassion and help with comforting my wife. Dr. Kay and Dr. Revolus and others in the Gynecology department showed a vast knowledge and indept explanation of the good and what to expect. Thank you Lord Jesus for guiding there hands.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Seafield. It basically saved my life and has guided me to a much healthier and happier way of living. I have 1 year sober, and I give much credit to this facility for getting me so where I am today. From the West Hampton rehabilitation center, to the women s sober house, to the outpatient counseling and meetings, it has been nothing short of wonderful and life changing. I have acquired so much from the amazing counseling and people that work here, the way you feel accepted and understood is profound. If you re looking for help in addiction and turning your life around, you ve found the right place!
