I went through a surgery here and the care I received was exceptional! Thank you to the entire surgical and care team for their dedication and care. Shout out to my doctor (Praveen Kandula) and his entire team for such an amazing work and to my surgical team (led by Harry Sun) and the surgeon (Matthew Rosenzweig) for making sure that not only was I well informed, but taken good care of as well, even after the surgery.

My surgeons were great thank God but they screwed up my medication big time! Terrible experience with hospital nurses and staff. Their nurses and staff were nice but had major communication problems. They made me very sick after having major, life threatening surgery. I had to insist to see a specialist and get the situation sorted out. I literally have NIGHTMARES from it still!!! It's what prompted me to call them again this morning and write this review. I was extremely sick and in pain from their screw ups!!! I've been calling for months whenever possible as I'm still having health issues and don't have much free time. I still have the discharge papers with them telling me to continue to take 2 medications together that shouldn't be!!! You have to be your own advocate and bring someone with you who can look out for you. A screw-up this big isn't cool and the fact that they wouldn't even call me back let alone cut me a break on my bill is disappointing to say the least. Again, my team of surgeons were great but the hospital staff screwed up repeatedly. I expect better from medical professionals.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient

Clients often enter inpatient rehab following detox, but they may also enroll during early recovery or at an increased risk of relapse. Inpatient rehabs provide housing, meals, and intensive clinical supervision, allowing clients to focus exclusively on their recovery in a highly structured and supportive environment. Clients typically receive multiple individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions weekly. Many programs also offer extensive addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training. Integrative inpatient rehabs provide holistic therapies as well.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Clients in a rehab aftercare program have typically completed detox and intensive inpatient and are medically stable. These programs are designed to address addiction recovery as a life-long process. Outpatient counseling and recovery education are typically categorized as drug rehab aftercare, but many clients continue to receive support after being discharged from formal outpatient treatment. Case managers and recovery teams facilitate clients' access to peer coaching, career counseling, 12 step program induction, and related services.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

24-hour clinical care in New Jersey provides a setting where you can withdraw from alcohol or drugs under close monitoring of experienced medical staff. These trained professionals can intervene at any time if needed. They can prescribe medications to reduce cravings and physical discomfort. Mental health professionals are also available to address any emotional and psychological challenges you experience as you begin your recovery journey.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Building life skills allows you to demolish negative patterns of behavior and build new, healthy patterns. By building new thought processes, coping strategies, and behaviors, you establish a solid foundation for recovery.

There is no cell phone signal anywhere in this hospital. They shut off the phones in the patients rooms so if you live an hour away like I do and want to check on your loved ones its almost impossible. Not to mention, if you call the nurse’s stations they will put you on hold for 15+ minutes just to get an update. Last night I called to get an update on my 88 yr old Dad who just had heart surgery and when I finally got through to his nurse the nurse was rude and smug. Unacceptable! This hospital MUST DO BETTER!!!

I recommend to not come to this hospital, why?Because first that hospital is cold and the rooms imagine poor newborn babies! My sister’s newborn was moving with chills and sneezing.Plus doctors gotta make babies cry in pain and instead of doing stuff softly.I can’t believe this

Dei policies are visible, you will not be receiving the best or most competent care anymore. I am going to have to lower The rating to one star. They have awful communication issues between the Departments Where I would get prescribed one thing from one doctor And then they would tell me I'm not eligible for that prescription the next day Even though I have a prescription of it at home

My appointment was with Dr. Berler and from beginning to the end of my visit I was met with nothing but reassuring and professionalism. The medical assistant Ana H. was thorough and comforting throughout the whole visit.
