The receptionist was excessively rude. They have no interest in making honest money or helping people, only milking insurance.*To be clear, since I can't respond to their response separately, I'll handle it here. I called to clear up the missed appoinment and pay for/handle that. I was going to pay for the no-show and reschedule, but the rat they have working the phones refused it and refused to reschedule. So they won't be getting a penny from me and they'll only be getting called out for their dirty business practices!
Response from the owner3 months ago
We do charge a no show fee. We tell people about the fee when they schedule. We have a 3 month waiting list for new patients. When someone doesn t come to their scheduled appointment they will be charged just as they agreed to when they were scheduled. After the charge for a no-show is paid, the person will be moved to the bottom of the wait list. It would be incredibly unfair to those waiting to allow someone to jump to the front of the queue especially given that they already didn t come to their first appointment. If you have questions about this policy please call our office we are happy to reschedule you once you have paid the fee for not showing up.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you enter a drug rehab in Utah, the process usually involves four stages: treatment initiation, early abstinence, maintaining abstinence, and advanced recovery. Treatment methods can rely on medications, counseling, or both, in either an outpatient or inpatient setting.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I can confidently say that all health care should aspire to match the standard set by Dustin Jasmer and his team. Their approach is nothing short of exemplary. In a world where rushed appointments are too common, Dustin and his staff take the necessary time to understand each individual's situation. It's evident that Dustin genuinely cares about his clients and their unique needs. His dedication to providing personalized care. Unlike some healthcare providers solely focused on maximizing profit, Dustin prioritizes the well-being of his clients . His office isn't just about churning through patients; it's about making a meaningful difference in people's lives. I wholeheartedly recommend Dustin Jasmer and his team to anyone seeking compassionate and effective mental health care.

I would say stay away. They first gave me the wrong medication(Tonya). Second she never called in my medication when I would tell her they had it. She would wait to long. So I had to get different medication. Then she had the nerve to tell me the doctor wants to know why I keep changing my medication? I was floored! The nerve of them. So needless to say I have had no medication for 2 Months now, and my job is so demanding. They are lucky I didn’t sue them. I paid for my Appointment and never got my meds for 2 Months. I am seeing a new doctor on the 30th. I know he will be more stable. I would say just be careful they will take your money, and leave you without medication. Very scary!! Don’t trust them.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Mary, we cannot address specific concerns that were not mentioned publicly by you so we will only mention those items which you brought up in this forum. We will also only address them generally and not specific to your situation due to privacy. You stated that that you went without medication. According to your review, it sounds like this is the primary concern you have. You mentioned that medication was changed (you said by you although it is only possible to change medication with the approval of a prescriber). As you are aware there is a major national shortage of specific medications. It sounds like both you and the prescriber were attempting to locate your medication or an acceptable alternative by making those changes to multiple different medicines and/or locations. Although this ultimately didn't result in you receiving your medication (once again there is a major national shortage) that you are now frustrated with the same prescriber who was willing to "keep changing the prescription". Although the situation is frustrating, Jasmer Health is doing everything within its means to make sure people have their medication including providing samples, changing pharmacies, recommending alternatives and we have even been reaching out to legislators to put pressure on the DEA to permit more manufacturing. If all of these steps failed (which it seems like it did), we are still sorry that you didn't receive your medicine but it seems that your frustration may be misplaced as we are powerless to do more. We do hope that your next medical provider has additional ideas to assist in this very challenging time. If there was a mistake on medication, we are very sorry for that. As for you not receiving medication that was sent several times, we struggle to identify how we could have done more to get you your medicine despite how frustrating that is for you and us.
