Mountainside Ramsey has proven to be a fantastic step down treatment options for clients leaving our care. The outreach and admissions department are so easily to work with each and every time. Clients have also spoken so highly of the quality of the groups, keeping them engaged the entire treatment process.

Mountainside Treatment Center is a great place for recovery I highly recommend it wonderful staff and the place is very clean and neat. I love Amy she is on the counselors there she is super sweet and she can teach and help you grow as a new person in recovery she has helped me so much. I highly recommend her as a counselor!

All of the staff at this program go above and beyond for their clients, and truly care. Amy is amazing also!

Skywood is amazing..IF YOU WANT IT. If you are looking for a new beginning and to find yourself and discover who you are again while learning about addiction and simultaneously get sober, this is the place. The food is amazing, its absolutely beautiful, and you are surrounded by strong staff and nature. The staff is amazing, starting from intake and all the way up to the doctors. BRIE the PA IS PHENOMENAL choose her. This is NOT a summer camp for your kids that are not ready for sobriety. If your young adult child really wants help, ok, remember no one can fix someone that doesn't want to get well, especially young adults.(18-25). This is a place to get better and to re-align with your spirituality, health, and values. 10/10 for anyone looking for a new and amazing version of effective treatment that is motivational, open to outdoors, and healthy. I learned more about myself in two weeks than I did in 8 years of following a different form of treatment. This is due to being rigorously honest, open minded, and wanting more than anything to be the best version of myself. Namasté, and good luck❤️🙏

This place changed my life. It was an unbelievable experience to say the least. The staff in every department were great, from the cooks, to nursing, to RA's (big props to Ms. April!) to housekeeping to the therapists (I owe alot to my man Emmett!). They not only helped guide me to a new way of thinking and aspect but to unload alot of weight i carried for years. Its Day 101 and i feel like a better man each day. Not to mention the connections! i'm not only close to the guys i roomed with in my cabin, but am apart of a group chat of about 20 people from my stay and we all check in still and hold our own weekly meetings. I would 100% suggest this to anyone who came to me looking for help. Thank you Skywood for giving me the tools i needed to fight this everyday battle. I hope to one day come back as an alumni and share my experience and sober journey.

Skywood was the best thing I could do for my sobriety! It was here where I got the tools to rebuild the house that I had burned to the ground… When I left I had rebuilt the frame for my life. I’m so grateful for the people that I met and the staff that supported us 💯❤️. I will return to Skywood as alumni now and I will go back to help my fellows. I recommend Skywood to anyone who needs to break the chains of addiction 🤛💥💪.

The therapist were very knowledgeable, they were a joy to be around and made you feel comfortable, I can't say who's my favorite because there are so many!!!

After a struggle that resulted in me losing all hope, I was fortunate enough to find Bear River. 90 days wasn’t enough so I stayed for 148, best decision I’ve ever made. The staff are incredible, the facilities are a place of safety and healing. If you are out struggling in your addiction reach out and let them help!

I initially honestly did not believe this was going to make a difference, but it really worked. The most life changing thing I have ever done with my life. Hands down, no doubt. The staff are amazing and really care. Especially considering how much I complained while I was up there (I am certain I was not their easiest client to get along, especially in the beginning). Also, the classes really are helpful... there is a lot of wisdom taught here. They were kind enough to tell me if I needed to, I was still welcome to come back as well... if I had a problem with mind-altering substances again. For now, though, I am doing really good. The best I have done since I was 13 years old, really. I am now 40. I can't say enough good things about bear river. It literally saved my life from either death, incarceration, or insanity. 1 year ago today I made the 5 hour one way drive in a blizzard to drop my love off. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. To drop him off in a parking lot and turn around and leave without him, broke my heart. But here we are 1 year later stronger than ever celebrating his sobriety thanks to the kindness and compassion from the staff at Bear River. They made everything as smooth as possible and we are forever grateful for the role they played in Joshua's recovery. I would recommend them to anyone needing to make this very hard life change.

Well I’ve been using fetty over 10 years I’ve been on methadone for 2 years I still use fetty once in a while well maybe now about 2 times a week sometimes more I’ve really tried to kick it all I just want off of everything I’m desperate I’d like to no more about how this procedure goes because I see skit of people say it hurts an that it’s rough well isn’t being door sick the same thing so it makes me wonder what would be the point if your still going to feel bad ? Is there any kind of withdrawals that u will feel what about this procedure makes u hurt ? I have so many questions

This place is amazing. If you’re wondering coming from the streets doing bundles of dope if it’ll work, it will. From top to bottom these ladies made detox painless. I can’t thank them enough. I’ve been an opiate addict for 18 years and in a few hours I was clean. No restless legs, no puking, 100% clean.

I didn't go here a loved one did and they changed her life - and they still take calls and help almost a year later. It gets you thru the physical part it's on you to follow thru with the rest - if you truly want your life back the price is nothing compared to the daily habit. There is a very special place for the staff here they make you feel special and today that is priceless.

Excellent rehab program and caring staff! They offer multiple levels of care to fit any needs. They have transitional housing close to the downtown Petoskey area and within walking distance to employment opportunities.

Nothing like previously experienced anywhere. Highly recommend if the need arises for various reasons.

I've been involved for 2 months now and the app is amazing as well as the staff so far !! They go above and beyond to help in any and all areas possible that we might cross into during this recovery process.

This program saved my life and I would recommend to anyone serious about getting their life back and opioid addiction under control and treated. Also with no vehicle atm this program being is over zoom video and makes it a life saver in another way. I could keep going just check them out and hopefully this saves someone just like it has saved me to me. 7yrs today 🤟🏼

The online app is a game changer for people. I only wish this could have been around back in the day, there would be allot of people still here if this type of thing was around back then

This place was a pivotal part of my recovery journey. I was here twice, once in September 2019 and once in March 2023 (which was my last time in rehab). I’ve been to several different rehabs all over the state and I’ll say this: Brighton isn’t the nicest facility, they don’t have the best food, but Brighton has THE BEST therapy, therapist, and THERE is where you get some of the most one-on-one time with your therapist. They give you real thoughtful work to do on your own and hold you accountable to change and doing the work if you say you really want it. Their IOP is Amazing and the sessions lead by Mo changed my life. Dudes awesome 👏 Anyway, never a fun experience but 100% would recommend.

I Was a patient here 5 years ago I started drinking at the age of 14 and got into other stuff at 19. I didn't know how to live life without a buffer Brighton gave me the tools to begin the recovery process I am still clean and sober after a horrible detox from barbiturates and Suboxone, I am thankful and grateful everyday that I made the decision to call and ask Brighton for help. Even after being shipped out to the hospital after 2 weeks they let me back in and gave me the tools and advice to start my recovery process. Thankful and Grateful ❤️

Best experience for recovery in the state in my opinion. Food is great, plenty of activities, outside time, basketball and other enjoyable options. The classes were amazingly enjoyable and informative. The staff and cooks were always helpful , kind. They offer AA or NA meetings. If you’re struggling with any substance abuse you owe it to yourself to at least check them out. Don’t hesitate to start your journey to sobriety. You’ll thank yourself later.

I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to this rehab center and its staff. No, it’s not a luxury retreat or a spa-like setting—but neither is prison, or worse, the morgue. This place is about recovery, not comfort, and I believe they are doing exactly what they’re meant to do: helping people get their lives back. The staff was kind, dedicated, and truly cared. My son's father recently completed treatment here, and while he shared that it was incredibly tough—physically, emotionally, and mentally—he also said it was nothing compared to the pain of being out on the streets, lost in his addiction. Recovery isn’t supposed to be easy. If it were, addiction wouldn’t be so hard to beat. I’ve seen some reviews criticizing the center for not giving constant updates to family members. I get it—when someone we love is in pain, we want answers, we want involvement, we want to help. But part of the healing process means letting go of that need to control. We didn't have control when our loved ones were in active addiction, and recovery is no different. The program is designed to build independence, accountability, and internal strength. Constant calls, questions, and attempts to interfere, even with good intentions, can undermine that. Trust the process. Let the professionals do their job. It’s not always comfortable—but neither is addiction. Discomfort is part of growth, and growth is what this place is all about. If you're looking for somewhere that offers real recovery—not coddling, but healing—this is it. Let them work, and give your loved one the space to fight for their own life.

Sacred Heart started me on my recovery journey giving me the tools I needed to get sober and stay sober. I hit my 90 days sober in about 2 weeks, and I couldn’t be more happy or proud. I’m so, so, so grateful for what Sacred Heart did for me. Shout out to staff Leslie, Trish, Jessica, Tom, Johnny, Margaret, Joe and Tom#2, Elizabeth, nurses Jane and Jim.. the therapists are amazing (all of them except Maria, she’s awful) the peer recovery coaches are amazing, love the nursing staff, y’all took good care of us. I love you all and maybe I’ll come back one day to help my fellow addicts. Anyone thinking of getting sober and trying to find a good rehab, this is the one, you won’t regret it!!

Scared at first. But eventually opened up and took suggestions. I ACTUALLY LEFT WITH A CERTIFICATE OF GRADUATION. SADLY LIFE, LIFES! & IM GOING BACK FOR A SECOND TIME. BECAUSE IK THERE ACTUALLY TRYING TO HELP AND UNDERSTAND. YOU HAVE TO BE OPEN FOR CHANGE. IF YOU FALL GET BACK UP🫶 I LOVD THE STAFF AND THE FOOD🙏 LOL.

Morning appointments have been the fastest for me. Any in the afternoon I have had to wait a little longer than I wanted. So far everyone i have interacted with has been friendly and helpful.

I’ve been doctoring here for over 25 years. Cardiology Department is excellent. Very caring and helpful staff in this hospital. Never any issues with inpatient or outpatient care.

Give a little effort and you get much back.

I’ve been through 3 therapists at this clinic, they were very nice people. The service is great, the ladies at the desks are always kind and helpful. Only things I would say is that sometimes the therapists go against your opinions and judgement and make you feel out of place or out of control. BUT all of my experiences here have been pleasant. Loved my past two therapists, Mattie DeBoe (no longer a therapist, moved to higher position) and Kelly anthi. Compared to pine rests outpatient/inpatient care facility, this place is paradise. Their inpatient and outpatient facility has many many issues with the inpatient and resident facilities, the outpatient facilities are very helpful and welcoming, quite opposite of the inpatient.

An excellent place to go if you have an out of control addiction and need help. Or if you just fell off and need a hand getting back up. Friendly staff, smoke breaks, ample time to socialize and work out our problems amongst ourselves... the place is amazing. And welcoming to people that return. We can't all always get it right on the first go around. Sometimes it takes two, three, four... hell, even thirty tries. But admitting that there's a problem and working to fix it is the first step. And this place is an excellent resource if you need that kind of help. I'm also an atheist. If you're worried about going to a church-affiliated group, don't be. They take a light touch with religion (mostly stuff in the daily readings), and try to be open to everyone. Same goes for LGBTQ+ folk: this is a safe place. If you need help, these folks are who you need to get started

You get out what you put in. I’ve done therapy for many years and this facility is great. I’ve only seen my one provider, but I would believe that every other provider also offers exceptional care. Don’t read into all the bad reviews, if you are on the fence about trying them out I’d give them a chance.

So far, everyone I've dealt with here has been very helpful. I highly recommend it for mental health services.
