About BHG Phoenix Treatment Center

Those looking for comprehensive outpatient treatment can consider seeking assistance at the Center for Behavioral Health. It’s out in Phoenix, Arizona. This behavioral health center’s outpatient program can offer you addiction counseling and outpatient treatment combined with medication assisted treatment.

Although the Center for Behavioral Health isn’t as well known in the community as other centers, many patients, including adult men and women, and clients with co-occurring disorders, found its services helpful.

What I loved most about this center was its addiction counseling that involved individual, group, and family therapy. This counseling also involved specialized cognitive behavioral therapy treatments which were particularly beneficial in my recovery. You’ll also likely find the center’s outpatient treatment with methadone assisted care helpful. After you stabilize, you’ll be entrusted with methadone dosing that you can do yourself at home.

It’s also worth noting that the state licenses the center and has received SAMHSA accreditation for its opioid outpatient treatment program. If you need outpatient treatment with or without medication assistance, you’ll be in safe hands at this center.

Absolutely worst clinic I have ever been to. Was happily on methadone for multiple years prior to switching to suboxone with support of my doctor at the tempe clinic. suddenly once i switched to phoenix and did subs instead of methadone i was no longer covered by insurance and needed to pay over $200 each time I saw the doctor. I obviously could not afford that. My counselor told me he would support me in finding other options. He never did and I was left without my suboxone for nearly a week due to not having any open intakes anywhere. After this entire debacle I never got one apology or a shred of help from Dusty, my counselor, Irene, my peer support specialist or from Melissa, the director. I was simply left high and dry by the few people who are supposed to ensure my stability. Today, I work in peer support and what this clinic put me through truly helps me be better at my job as I would NEVER do to one of my clients what this clinic did to me. I can t imagine the amount of relapses these people have caused.

My only issue with this place is that the hours listed online aren't entirely correct. It says open till 12:30 but per person on the phone it closes at noon.....that has caused some people to miss there dose because of it. Please fix

Accepted Insurance

BHG Phoenix Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs support clients' successful reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Drug rehab aftercare presumes that recovery requires life-long support. These programs typically offer a wide variety of services customized for the clients' unique and evolving needs. Clients may receive vocational training and career counseling, housing assistance, legal aid, peer coaching, and 12 step program induction, among other services. Clients' case managers often play a lead role in rehab aftercare planning.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
If you're struggling with adjusting to daily life after inpatient rehab, a sober living home in Arizona may be a good option. These residences offer an in-between option where you can practice the skills you learned in rehab in a structured, drug-free environment. This transition can help you prepare to face the "real world" after treatment. You'll live with others in recovery and follow house rules such as contributing to chores and paying rent.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Also known as CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy in Arizona is one of the most common types of psychotherapy. It offers a structured method of counseling that effectively treats substance use disorder and dual diagnosis disorders.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction includes focused attention on the unique challenges that trigger addictive behavior. During individual therapy sessions, you have a safe space in which to discuss stressors and emotional struggles. Therapy fosters trust and open communication that helps develop personalized strategies to overcome addiction.

The goal of motivational interviewing in Arizona is to enhance your confidence in your ability to make changes in your life. It encourages you to commit to change and plan for the process of making those changes that will allow you to reach your goals.

Residents of Arizona who are experiencing relationship problems may benefit from couples therapy. This form of psychotherapy helps couples express their feelings, resolve conflicts, and increase intimacy and affection.

Family therapy involves sessions where members of the family discuss how addiction has affected them individually and collectively. Therapists can guide families in developing coping strategies that help support their loved one's recovery while also focusing on their own emotional health.

Developing life skills is an important piece of addiction recovery treatment. These skills help you succeed in day to day tasks and live a healthy, independent life. They include communication, critical thinking, problem solving, self control, and resilience.

This clinic and staff has made the biggest impact on my first week here in Phoenix. They have gone over and beyond to help me and make sure I am taken care of. The staff and Dr really has already made my heart smile. When everything went wrong they did whatever they could to help and make sure I am mentaallystable as well!! So appreciated

To tell you the truth, the staff at this Clinic are simply amazing. Each and every one of them.they honestly do care for your sobriety and I want you to succeed but it's ultimately up to you. And to those who gave a bad rating, the world doesn't revolve around you. Just follow the rules. Plain and simple. So stop acting so entitled.

I got a blood clot in my lung, so I was In the hospital for a couple days. it simply was because I didn't drink water for a year at least, except when I dosed, lol. Anyways, im perfectly fine now. In fact, I just started weight lifting again. So its no issue, but this clinic kicked me out cuz they were worried about being responsible for me. I started using again, up to 6 grams a day. Yeah, it is my bad choice, but their rules and sorry excuse of so called help is designed to make you fail. We make mistakes, yeah, but this place is there for the money only I guess. Cuz they sure screwed me up. now ive cut my abuse into a gram a day and im looking for another clinic. So thank you so much for absolutely nothing. -5 stars.
