Avenues was great they saved my life. Before I came here I was only drinking alcoholic beverages other than the glass of milk in the morning. I was only eating a small amount of food and would go multiple days without eating at all. Now I drink lots of water and eat three times a day. I would recommend Avenues to anyone that wants to get clean and sober.

I cannot say enough good about Aware Recovery Care going back to February 2023. My first involvement was with their In-Home Detox team consisting of RN Jenn Aguire and nurses Tabitha and Krystal who came to my home for at least seven straight days to get me detoxed. This was critical to me as at the time I was unwilling to enter in residence detox having had a negative experience in the past. I credit them with saving my life. Their kind and compassionate care showed me that there was indeed some hope for me going forward. Following detox Aware counselors Sam Hayes and Amber Gelinas continued home visits working very closely with me in keeping me on the road to sobriety. I also received monthly assessments by an RN and a session with a Psychiatrist. After six months my insurance lapsed but thankfully I was eligible to enter their Alumni Program consisting of multiple Zoom meetings during the week with Aware professionals. In addition they also host various events in different locations with other Alumni of the program. You always feel that Aware is right there with you every step of the way. I could carry on much longer but let me finish by saying that I consider the Aware professionals I have dealt with to be more than just counselors but as friends as well. I am welcome back in the lives of my children and most importantly my Grandchildren. On November 24 I will be collecting my Nine Month sobriety chip at my AA Home Group. I credit a great deal of my success on Aware Recovery.

They also provide treatment options to individuals who are experiencing a co-occurring mental health condition. Their center relies on a range of evidence-based clinical treatments
This institution is affiliated with Harvard and one of the best in the entire nation. I was at the Betty Ford before this, and it was absolute garbage in comparison, both in quality of care and quality of the property. Every single staff member at fernside absolutely cares about patients and the staff outnumber and patients - which is extremely rare. Betty Ford was something like four patients per staff member. Here there’s typically 3MD’s, 3-4 nurses, multiple therapists, and an amazing private chef. At fernside you have industry leading experts with resources directly from Harvard meeting as a team to diagnose, underlying health conditions, and treat various addictions. You meet with them all individually multiple times per week and they speak with each other to discuss mental health, medications, etc. It’s like the show house. They have the time to do so because there are typically 4-6 patients and a maximum of 9. If you want a full breakdown and evaluation with individualized care, this is the place for you. I cannot say enough, kind things about this place; The only con is that it is $70,000 a month and they do not accept insurance.

In the past I have visited Haywood Hospital at the Gardner MA location for Xrays, ultrasound and CT imaging. Heywood Hospital in my opinion is a Gem. Unlike other hospitals, Heywood is perfectly located away from chaotic traffic and congested busy streets. Including one-way streets as is the case in Boston or Worcester. In addition, Heywood provides plenty of free parking with cover for it's patients. The hospital is very clean, updated, and well maintained inside and out. The restrooms appear to be cleaned on a regular. The staff here have always been polite, professional, courteous and willing to help. Today I had an Xray scheduled and while at the patient registration I met Alice H. Alice has been working here for fifty-five years and was so friendly, kind, and helpful. Instead of given me verbal directions to the Xray department (It's been a while since my last visit) Alice H got up from her desk and accompanied me to the Xray area. Great lady I wish all staff were as kind and helpful as Alice H. I would also like to note the gentleman who preformed my Xray was equally as nice. 30 seconds to a minute and the entire process was complete. Conclusion: In the event someone needs imaging I highly recommend visiting Heywood in Gardner MA.

Amazing customer service. My insurance company was fighting with me about seeing my PCP who I've been seeing for two years and continuing medication that I am currently stable on and have been on for two years. The company (CHC) does take my insurance and I was unsure why they would not allow me to see a specific dr in the same clinic but allowed other ones. Doug the call reprisentative, agreed and confirmed the company does take that insurance he took it to the manager of community health connections and got things handled for me, CHC delt with the insurance company directly. And I have the most amazing provider there, she fought for me to be covered on the medication that I am currently on and it is working amazingly. Shout out to Krystina Bonilla.

Gorgeous serene location. Not sure many walk down to the pond/lake. Outdoor picnic tables for contemplation. Privacy is a Huge plus adding to focus. Haven't been there in over a year. I hope it hasn't lost its "run down summer camp" vibe I read in the other review that it's new (renovated) because a lot of charm is in the larger room with books. Casual with Excellent Experienced Highly empathetic dedicated counselors. They've seen it all. The composition of "Patients" is quite varied. You can have a Professor making buddies with a plumber. I mean this in the best way & you already know that's how it works ideally. I just want to encourage people to not stereotype it as one socioeconomic group or another. But yeah mostly white. Great place.

Cant speak highly enough about the staff. They will be there for you anytime and guide you threw the hurdles of addiction and mental health issues. This is a review I should have written a LONG time ago. This review is for Jaclyn and Kristen. Jaclyn works directly under southbay, I believe. I hear about some of my peers’ experiences with early intervention, and while it’s always good, it still really illuminates how above and beyond Jaclyn went for us. She was always available, she always listened, she was the water that surrounded our stone. She listened when we needed her to and she advocated loudly when we needed her to. We’ve been out of the program for a YEAR and not a day goes by where we do not think or talk about Jaclyn. My son still asks for her. He has since been diagnosed with level two autism and we couldn’t haven’t gotten that diagnosis or help without her guidance and support. I was at the end of my rope and without tools, I feel that my child, despite my devotion and love and patience and empathy, probably would have been traumatized with out her because I simply did not have the tools to help or cope. Or the hand on my shoulder to tell me it’s okay, I’m doing a good job. She was always on time which was great for my sons very big need for punctuality, even as a baby. She was so personable and loving and was truly apart of our family. She intuitively picked up on small nuances and evolved accordingly. I wish I could have done more for her as we parted. Jaclyn was one of the best people I’ve ever met, and the world is better for having her in it. Kristen was also amazing. She was my sons behavioral therapist and she offered a lot of truly helpful insights. ABA can be quite controversial these days, but I never felt I had to change my son with Kristen, or make him fit into another mold. Though I’m not exactly sure Kristen did ABA specifically, I felt we all knew that’s what she was there for. She helped me to analyze what made my son tick and why. She didn’t try to change him, she helped me to anticipate his wants and needs and translated his special language to me. Jaclyn and Kristen worked phenomenally side by side as a fantastic team to offer us the support that every parent in my situation dreams of. I have often fantasized about attending a town hall or public forum to advocate for early intervention to be extended to children over 5 years of age. If you’ve made it this long, thanks for reading. This review was the least I could do for these people who have done so much for us.

I can't say enough good things about this facility and its incredible staff. My experience here was truly life changing. From the very beginning I felt welcomed, understood, and supported in a way I honestly wasn't prepared for. It was my first time seeking therapy for addiction so I wasn't entirely sure what it would look like- but now 6 months sober I can say with confidence this facility goes above and beyond. What truly stood out for me was the therapy. Every day felt different which kept things engaging and meaningful. It never felt like "one size fits all". Over my time there, it became more than just treatment- it felt like being surrounded by a close group of friends whole truly cared about each other's growth and healing. And I loved how much the facilitators were always so willing to pivot based on the group's needs. When the weather was nice, nature walks were awesome to clear my head... and group outings were so important in early recovery to start doing the "normal" things again, but with help ready at the standby. And when I say this was a judgement free zone, there was never even a second I felt uncomfortable sharing things I might not in a different setting. Recovery isn't easy, but being in an environment like this made a huge difference. This place helped me get my life back and I'm so incredibly grateful for the staff, the program and the connections I made along the way. If you are considering getting help, I could not recommend this facility more.
