This place has been a magical, healing, life changing experience. I have struggled with addiction to serious drugs for over 20 years. I also struggle with mental health. I have been to 11 different treatment facilities. Some of them really good. This place blew them all out of the water. The setting is phenomenal. It’s located on 70+ acres of the most beautiful mountain setting that Mass has to offer. The sunrises are breathtaking. It’s like an enchanted forest. The bunnies and chipmunks and baby dear are adorable and amazing. I stayed in the ‘poets’, these amazing, spacious log cabins with cathedral ceilings. When I walked in the first time I cried in gratitude. The beds are comfy, you have plenty of privacy, and it’s a space I would stay at on vacation. The food is top notch. I don’t think I was served a single bad meal. The head cook, Matt, is so accommodating. It feels like home. You always have the option of a delicious salad bar, leftovers are available until 11 at night. I couldn’t asked to be better taken care of. Most of the RS staff are in recovery which is amazing. They are the most devoted caring staff I have ever had the privilege of knowing. And you do get to know them, their personal struggles and victories, they give you hope that this is possible. They were inspirational. Thank you to all of you: Chris, Justin, Lisa, Owen, Jess, Andrew, Steve, Brandon, Tim, Courtney, Moe, Ryan, Pete, Greg, Alina, Mark, Jamie. I hope I didn’t forget anyone. And of course I can’t forget the RS supervisor, John, who does an amazing job managing an amazing staff. You guys never ignored me, constantly asked how I was doing, and knew me well enough to know when I was down. I didn’t have a single request that wasn’t immediately dealt with in a kind way. Down to wanting printouts of watercolor painting ideas. I got ridiculous. Thank you. The classes were also amazing. We had groups six hours a day including women’s groups and process groups. I really thought that as much treatment as I have received that there was nothing left to learn. This place disabused me of that notion. Sarah’s groups were always fun and informative, plus she’s the best Clinician I’ve ever had. Thank you! Marcus, the family counselor, was like an injection of hope. He also does amazing family sessions. The man is a miracle worker. All of the case managers and clinicians are amazing. My case manager, Kelley, along with Sarah, helped me to set up aftercare that included IOP, a recovery coach, primary care appointments, MAT and psychiatry appointments, they helped my come up with a relapse prevention plan, deleted and block all dangerous contacts on my phone, disable my Facebook account, etc etc. I have never felt so prepared to go back to the real world. The executive director, Colleen, knows every patient by name, knows what your going through, and interacts with everyone on a regular basis. The nursing staff is also top notch. Headed by Kayla, they do a tremendous job. My favorite nurse was Scott but every one of them was endlessly available and truly stupendous. My needs were met in a timely and empathetic way. I was made to be comfortable and I’m so grateful. Then the clients, I don’t know what it is but the quality of client was truly wonderful. Everyone looked out for eachother, everyone was determined to grow and learn as much as possible. We had so much fun playing games, doing karaoke, riding horses, playing corn home and ping pong, hanging out at the fire making s’mores. It was truly like adult summer camp that saved my life and gave me the tools I needed to go out into the world and thrive. I cannot say enough about this place and it’s wonderful people it’s wonderful setting. I am forever grateful in a way I cannot express here.

Some of The counselors there are EXCEPTIONAL. Rob, Mike, and Peter really made a HUGE impact on my recovery. They are true believers in their groups. Sharing their personal coping skills relating to their sobriety which was detrimental in finding my own. True inspirations on how to be sober and stay sober. Great groups and authenticity to their work. They shared from their heart. They kept each and everyone involved and inspired. Some of the nursing staff were very attentive and helpful as well. Kim, Joe, sue, and Ben were ones that stood out to the most. Kim was caring and truly cared about each patients needs and feelings. The RSS’s were great as well. Calee, joann, Leslay, and Niana were all great to deal with. Calee went above and beyond for everyone in my unit. She would put the patient first before anything else which was very thoughtful of her in a situation that is not easy for most. I have been to RCA Danvers and I can say my experience at Westminster was much more therapeutic and beneficial to my recovery. Sincerely, Jason Dewar

I appreciate the excellent care that was provided to my family member by the caring staff. The staff made my family member feel comfortable along with activities and the groups that were led and provided by multiple workers . Excellent establishment and also the care coordination that they assisted with in regards to follow up care and post d/c transition was exceptional. This facility should be noted for anyone who has a family struggling or patient seeking assistance with help. I have so many staff members that were so supportive to my family member. Especially whom was Peter Gregory whom per her report did groups and was the Best. Thanks again for making a realistic difference.

I cannot say enough good about Aware Recovery Care going back to February 2023. My first involvement was with their In-Home Detox team consisting of RN Jenn Aguire and nurses Tabitha and Krystal who came to my home for at least seven straight days to get me detoxed. This was critical to me as at the time I was unwilling to enter in residence detox having had a negative experience in the past. I credit them with saving my life. Their kind and compassionate care showed me that there was indeed some hope for me going forward. Following detox Aware counselors Sam Hayes and Amber Gelinas continued home visits working very closely with me in keeping me on the road to sobriety. I also received monthly assessments by an RN and a session with a Psychiatrist. After six months my insurance lapsed but thankfully I was eligible to enter their Alumni Program consisting of multiple Zoom meetings during the week with Aware professionals. In addition they also host various events in different locations with other Alumni of the program. You always feel that Aware is right there with you every step of the way. I could carry on much longer but let me finish by saying that I consider the Aware professionals I have dealt with to be more than just counselors but as friends as well. I am welcome back in the lives of my children and most importantly my Grandchildren. On November 24 I will be collecting my Nine Month sobriety chip at my AA Home Group. I credit a great deal of my success on Aware Recovery.

I’ve been with Dr. Michelle LeClerc at Harbor Care Health for 7 years & she is the most caring, intelligent, compassionate, real, and most genuine doctor I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of doctors throughout the years. She’s the only one that stuck with me through my bad times through me missing appointments, several health scares, and despite not even being my primary care has done more for me than my actual primary care doctor has. The staff and nurses at Harbor health go above and beyond for you as a patient, and I never met a group of people that truly do care about the patients that go there. They don’t just brush you off or say they’re going to do something and not follow through, everyone at the clinic is persistent, caring, trustworthy, real and absolutely amazing! I feel blessed to have found this practice and will miss Dr. Michelle LeClerc when she retires, she’s never let me down, and I don’t even think she realizes just how much she’s helped me maintain my sobriety by being there, being supportive and being a genuine guardian angel!!!

Gatehouse Treatment is a drug and alcohol addiction treatment center located in Nashua, NH. It specializes in various addictions and substance use disorders by providing comprehensive and evidence based treatment to individuals seeking recovery. With a team of experienced professionals, GateHouse offers a range of levels of care and services design
Based on my personal experience, I would 100% recommend GateHouse to anyone struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders. I've been struggling with substance abuse for many years with bouts of sobriety in between. I've seen my fair share of treatment center. None, in my opinion, compare to GateHouse. 1. The clinical team is top notch and go above and beyond to help educate clients and teach them new coping skills to ensure their success in recovery. Hunter (my clinician) met with me weekly and was a rock for me during times of uncertainty. She listens without judgement, shares based on experience and offers suggestions on new ways to improve my mental health. 2. Josh (Clinical Director) is a prime example of his profession. He has successfully helped my fiance and I work through past traumas, stemmed from our use, in weekly one-on-one Couple's Therapy sessions. There have been times where I've met with Josh when I was unsure of something and he's eager to be helpful. He leaves the door to his office wide open for clients. That says so much and I have a lot of respect for him and what he does for this community. 3. The curriculum is outstanding. It's informative, educational and absolutely attainable if put to use. Clinicians facilitate these groups, breaking the information down so that everyone has an understanding of what is being taught. I always leave Brittney and Geno's groups with a different, more positive perspective and new skills to practice in my daily affairs to better myself as a woman in recovery. 4. GateHouse Case Managers advocate for their clients and take time with each one in setting up aftercare plans and relapse prevention plans. They truly care for the success of their clients. Marcus (my Case Worker) has helped me attain appointments that better served my health. He has educated me on sober living and my options all while encouraging me to make choices that will be best for me. He's an amazing person and I'm grateful I was assigned to him upon my arrival at GateHouse. 5. During my stay at GateHouse, Couple's Therapy Group was formed, held once a week and facilitated by Geno. This group was crucial for my fiance and I and our road to healing. It was a safe space to connect with other couples who have gone through similar situations as us and gain new perspectives. Geno taught us new coping skills, constructive and healthy ways to communicate with one another, boundaries and how to ease ourselves back into our children's lives in the most caring and loving way. GateHouse's decision to incorporate this group into their program has benefited my fiance, myself and many more clients. 6. The BHT Staff are the absolute best that I've ever encountered. They too are working their own programs in recovery and have a personal understanding of what clients are experiencing. It's much easier for me, as an alcoholic, to listen to a fellow alcoholic rather than someone who doesn't have personal experience with substance abuse. Every staff member has their own amazing, unique qualities that make them an absolute asset to GateHouse. There's not one of them that isn't helpful, personable, and (most importantly to me) willing to hold you accountable in a loving, caring way so that you have the opportunity to better yourself. Personally, I believe they deserve a raise. They offer so much more to GateHouse other than their job duties. They have the ability to connect with clients based on their experiences inside and other side of work. Each one is a walking symbol of Hope and that the program does work, if you work it. All in all, I've had an amazing experience with GateHouse and feel that I have the tools that I need to start the next chapter in my recovery. Thank you GateHouse friends! You've truly made a difference in my life and will be dearly missed!

My name is Kenneth Caudill, I entered GateHouse three months ago. In that time frame I learned more about myself and my addiction then I ever thought possible. I was scared and nervous at first with me being a first time treatment guy. Upon entering gate house you meet the caring and in touch ppl you'll ever meet. They don't look at you like a dollar sighn, they look at you like a human being and a person. The respect and kindness is unbelievable to say the least. I was just an addict and alcoholic who messed up and came thru there doors, but they made me feel right at home and like a person. The staff there will walk you thru the steps explaining everything to you as you go. They help you get comfortable and really at ease in the halls. They make sure they help you with all your needs from dentistry to EBT to eye glasses and so much more. They truly are an amazing bunch of genuine human beings. The instructors there are all well qualified and for me geniuses far beyond what I can see. There not only there to help you recognize your addiction and how to deal with it on an everyday basis. But to lend yiu an ear when yiu need it, or talk to you when things aren't going well. The techs are just as super amazing, friendly humerous and always willing to listen or poke jokes to make you smile. From transporting to UAs to just being genuine human beings the techs rock.... My thoughts " I said to myself. Im scared and I cant do this" Collin said "bro you can, I got you " Tab sealed the deal by saying we're happy your here, this is where you will get better" I believed them both. I hold the house staff aka techs high up there not just be ause I was a client but because I had a band of brothers willing and able to help me when I was lost" Between all of the techs at the houses and clinical, the instructors at clinical to the upper management all around I could not be more genuine then screaming "THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME" I will never forget any of you and I appreciate you 10,000 percent... Much love and admiration Ken Caudill Jr.....

I have had amazing experiences here, I’ve learned new ways and skills to cope my addiction to alcohol. I’m still in treatment here, and I would like to share with you all how I’ve been treated and how I will continue to be treated. The staff are amazing they are always there to help with anything; talking about things, if u need to get it off your chest, getting you what u need to be successful. I have a few favorite staff, those people include; Kyle Haskell, Collin Darby, and Wayne Theriault. These staff members have helped me on my journey to recovery, and will continue to do everything in their power to help me get to where I need to be to be able to stand on my two feet.

I love this clinic. I had the pleasure to be seeing by Dr. Austin, Dr. Castro and Dr. Garay (General Dentistry). They are excellent professionals and very caring. The front desk people of Dental Department are always loving and proactive. I had to go to emergency this week with a horrible toothache and they took really good care of me. I am thankful for their services!!!

I have been at Heywood Hospital for the past 3 days with an acute pancreatitis attack. The staff has been incredible as soon as I stumbled in the ER doors, with the worst pain imaginable. I am six weeks postpartum and being away from my newborn has been terrible but the staff made it bearable. Shout out to Therese, my ER nurse! Thank you EVERYONE!

The doctors nurses and staff at Heywood are just amazing. Twice ive been laid up in the hospital for several days and these people just enjoy taking care of people. Nicest people very friendly and they'll listen and talk to you instead of rushing out. They're very concerned with your every need and assist you the best they can. I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable stay. Thank you Heywood staff.

This is a review I should have written a LONG time ago. This review is for Jaclyn and Kristen. Jaclyn works directly under southbay, I believe. I hear about some of my peers’ experiences with early intervention, and while it’s always good, it still really illuminates how above and beyond Jaclyn went for us. She was always available, she always listened, she was the water that surrounded our stone. She listened when we needed her to and she advocated loudly when we needed her to. We’ve been out of the program for a YEAR and not a day goes by where we do not think or talk about Jaclyn. My son still asks for her. He has since been diagnosed with level two autism and we couldn’t haven’t gotten that diagnosis or help without her guidance and support. I was at the end of my rope and without tools, I feel that my child, despite my devotion and love and patience and empathy, probably would have been traumatized with out her because I simply did not have the tools to help or cope. Or the hand on my shoulder to tell me it’s okay, I’m doing a good job. She was always on time which was great for my sons very big need for punctuality, even as a baby. She was so personable and loving and was truly apart of our family. She intuitively picked up on small nuances and evolved accordingly. I wish I could have done more for her as we parted. Jaclyn was one of the best people I’ve ever met, and the world is better for having her in it. Kristen was also amazing. She was my sons behavioral therapist and she offered a lot of truly helpful insights. ABA can be quite controversial these days, but I never felt I had to change my son with Kristen, or make him fit into another mold. Though I’m not exactly sure Kristen did ABA specifically, I felt we all knew that’s what she was there for. She helped me to analyze what made my son tick and why. She didn’t try to change him, she helped me to anticipate his wants and needs and translated his special language to me. Jaclyn and Kristen worked phenomenally side by side as a fantastic team to offer us the support that every parent in my situation dreams of. I have often fantasized about attending a town hall or public forum to advocate for early intervention to be extended to children over 5 years of age. If you’ve made it this long, thanks for reading. This review was the least I could do for these people who have done so much for us.

Gorgeous serene location. Not sure many walk down to the pond/lake. Outdoor picnic tables for contemplation. Privacy is a Huge plus adding to focus. Haven't been there in over a year. I hope it hasn't lost its "run down summer camp" vibe I read in the other review that it's new (renovated) because a lot of charm is in the larger room with books. Casual with Excellent Experienced Highly empathetic dedicated counselors. They've seen it all. The composition of "Patients" is quite varied. You can have a Professor making buddies with a plumber. I mean this in the best way & you already know that's how it works ideally. I just want to encourage people to not stereotype it as one socioeconomic group or another. But yeah mostly white. Great place.

This a very protected environment where you can focus on your treatment with no distractions. The groups are beneficial, the therapy is superb, and the staff is second to none. The facility is new as of writing this and provides a calm and relaxing environment to focus on your recovery and self. As with all programs like this you get what you put into it. Cant speak highly enough about the staff. They will be there for you anytime and guide you threw the hurdles of addiction and mental health issues. Thank you to Neakaug and their staff I cant praise you enough. I hope this this program doesnt depart from an excellent program they have working. If you want to stay sober commit to coming here and working their program.

I see all the negative reviews, and I'm astonished. Having been both a patient and a family visitor at SHNMC more than once in the past 43 years, I have nothing but good things to say about the ED, about surgery and the PACU, and about the wards. My wife and I have always been treated professionally, with kindness and honest concern, by all around us. I just brought her home after several days in hospital for spinal surgery. Nobody did a song and dance routine in the corridors for us 😆 but otherwise it was as good a hospital stay as I can remember. The only negative comment I can register is about the food, which seems to be designed to be unpalatable. (Once upon a time, SNHMC had an award-winning kitchen.) As for long waits in the ED waiting room, I don't like to wait any more than the next person, but that's the way life is in every ED I've known. The whole point of triage is to ensure that the people most in need of urgent care are taken first. Your bump on the noggin probably doesn't trump the multiple compound fractures or the heart attack of that other person. There's another good hospital in town, but my choice always goes to SNHMC.

I was brought to SNHMC on May 15 by ambulance and was in the ICU for 11 days. I was unconscious then and would be for five days. I had pneumonia following a seizure. My husband, who sat with me for all 5 of those days, said that the care of the nurses and doctor was extraordinary. When I woke up - confused and disoriented - the staff was amazing. I could have been left alone that first night but I wasn't. Nurses came in regularly to check on me and see if I had questions or concerns. I believe I received incredible care from the kindest staff I have ever met. I simply can't say enough good things about the way my husband and I were treated. While I hope never to need their services again, SNHMC was absolutely amazing and I would gladly seek service there again if I should need it.
