My experience with this particular facility has been nothing but a positive situation for me. The staff, all the way from the Director down to the office girls have been almost like a family to me. The compassion that I have been shown means so much to me & out of all the programs I have encountered, this one is by far the BEST. My councilor has also been a positive force in my life & really gone to bat for me. But most of all, although everyone remains very professional, they are all very caring & treat me with respect. I'm very grateful for this place & I just would like to say "THANK YOU". Sincerely, Jeff Butterfield

Located in the southwestern corner of Utah, in the small town of Virgin, is the Liahona Treatment Center. This is a residential treatment facility for boys who are struggling with behavioral health challenges, have co-occurring mental health disorders, engage in at risk behaviors, or have struggled with substance use. The residential treatment prog
When I sent my Godson to Liahona Academy, it was the hardest decision that I ever made. He has recently graduated, and I now know that it was also the best decision that I ever made. He struggled in the beginning, but once he finally understood that I only wanted him to become a better person, he started making changes. He is now ahead in school, has great grades, and an excellent relationship with anyone that he wants to have a relationship with. I can guarantee that if you sent your son here and you give him time to figure it out, he eventually will, and you will never regret your decision. My Godson came out of Liahona academy as a completely transformed man. He was a child with all kinds of manipulative “techniques”. Now he is a reborn man, a man who is honest and sincere, a man who you can count on to be a positive leader and have a great attitude. I am grateful for all the staff at Liahona academy, and especially for his therapist Benjamin Haslam, the program director, Richard May, and the case manager, Beverly Carayas. THANK YOU 🙏🏻

I was sent to Liahona Academy on September 20, 2019. I graduated on May 7, 2021. This placed changed my life. If I was not sent here, I would be either dead, homeless, or in jail. I was skipping school nearly every day and my grades were terrible. My relationship with my parents was terrible. I was smoking weed almost every day. I dreaded every aspect of my life. Now, I am a year ahead of my regular grade, with a GPA of 3.78. My relationship with my parents is fantastic. I don’t ever want to go back to my old life. I love this new life. I recommend that any parent who is struggling with their teen to send them here. It will be a very hard decision, but I can 100% guarantee that it will be worth it. Haris Husetic

Liahona was our last hope and nothing short of a miracle for saving my son’s life. The Liahona approach allows customized care based on timing of each boy’s willingness to embrace the opportunity for real, lasting change. The Owner Clay along with Rich, Bear and Beverly were wonderful to work with! The Liahona Virgin campus team have built an amazing program with a successful track record and long-term results at treating the whole person, not just the symptoms of bad behavior/substance abuse, but dares to dig deeper uncovering root causes of the problems. My son was a complex case as he exhibited erratic and dangerous behavior along with lingering effects of substance abuse which could have ended his life on multiple occasions prior to admittance. The highly-structured environment with set “wake” and “lights-out” times, allows the boys to get into a healthy, balanced and predictable schedule resulting in a solid foundation to become the best versions of themselves and make the most of the program. The well-regulated agenda culminates dependable sleep patterns, individual and group therapy, chores, healthy and consistent meals, with time built-in for exercise, school, homework, faith (of any kind or none at all), personal growth, journaling and reading. Based on progress, working the program and meeting milestones, the boys can earn group outings that may include volunteering a chance to give back to the community, or a fun outing like bowling, hiking or trip to the lake, etc. The staff at the Virgin facility were simply amazing! I can’t thank Rich (Program Director) and Bear (our son’s Therapist) enough for their vision and “lead by example” approach to earn credibility, respect and have such a positive power of influence over the most challenging of behaviors. Bear was very honest that our son was one of the more complex cases he had seen and that he wasn’t sure if Liahona would be the “best fit” for him. Bear was absolutely remarkable in treating my son, from day 1, as a fully 100% capable individual and he saw through the façade of substance psychosis, anger, low self-esteem, manipulative and self-centered behavior. The value of the Liahona program incorporates a loving and supportive environment, patiently allowing each boy to come to their own realization and choose to begin the journey-cycle of initiating progress, resulting in gaining confidence, motivating them to work harder, embracing the courage to face adversity and proving to themselves they are capable of setting goals and exceeding expectations. The Liahona program results in building confidence, fueling motivation for more continued growth and is the recipe for achieving not only success in Liahona but prepares each boy for a successful life outside of Liahona in the real world. My son entered Liahona as a troubled boy and graduated the program as a confident young man, eager to work hard, face adversity, exceed every goal placed in front of him, fully equipped with the knowledge and desire to help others along the way. We couldn’t be more proud and are forever grateful to the incredible staff and program at Liahona for doing God’s work here on earth!

We are very thankful that we found Forte Strong for our son. Forte taught our son the skills to grow and develop so that he could become independent. Prior to FS, our son was not gaining these skills on his own at home or at college. The structure, discipline and accountability, combined with coaching and therapy, created an environment where he could grow and gain confidence. While we as parents had to step back and allow our son to rely on himself and the program support, by the time he graduated our relationship was much healthier. A weekly webinar for the parents is a key component of the program. Brook (program director) does an incredible job providing insightful and valuable parent education. He connects with the parents and helps them understand the underlying principles and processes of the program. We are grateful for the dedicated staff at Forte Strong and what they are doing for the students they serve.

There are too many reviews that have 5 stars. Forte deserves 6. Let me tell you why. I am Isaac Bradford-Feldman. I am 26 from Vermont. I came to Utah, August 2024 with dire need for support. I left Forte May, 2025 a changed man. About me pre Forte: During covid, I played video games for 10 hours a day. I had no friends nor interest to talk to friends. I had no independence, I couldn't buy my own groceries. I had no accountability. I had almost a gram of marijuana every single day. I lived in a state funded 'adult foster care'. I needed help bad. My parents realized the direction I was going. I came to my dad and said I needed help. I was ready to leave for Utah in two weeks. I was watching the movie, 'Dances with Wolves'. I was imagining Utah had bison and was something like that. I was nervous but excited for a change. My dad and I promised One critical thing that throughout my stay put me above many of my peers. No matter what, I would not quit the program prematurely until I was ready. My problem avoidance problem: How Forte Helped me with avoiding my problems: It was hot as hell in August. My forte was messy and my roommate was a jerk. Why am I here? Why am I doing this to myself I thought. I was blind to my sense of entitlement. I pleaded coach jake to switch forts to avoid my problem with my roommate. For the first time in three years, I had to face my problems. Paraphrasing here, he said, "No. You're going to have to put up with people you don't like and learn how to manage those kinds of relationships." I was very anxious. Confrontational. Serious. Reactive. And I thought my roommate was the problem. My roommate and I worked through it and ultimately, I was surprised how many common interests we had. The books: Forte will have you read many books. One of my biggest issues was accountability. A navy seal captain, Jocko wrote a book on how to take, 'extreme ownership' of any given situation. My dad would always tell me, "honesty is the best policy." How am I to be honest when its not my fault? I would think. This book helped me learn how to take accountability for my mistakes. Another book I read was The Slight Edge. This book taught me a new perspective to small habits and there benefit on my overall well being. Dave Ramseys Total Money Makeover helped me learn to manage my finances, not get into debt and save for an emergency fund. The Four Agreements helped me simplify the small things stressing me out and look ahead optimistically. The books I read in Forte were insurmountable to my development. My jobs: In Forte I struggled with employment. Its ironic looking back because now, I love going to work. Back then, It was like my parents were asking me to do chores. Culvers, Kohls, Natural Grocers. I worked in three businesses and quit all three. I could say this guy was a jerk or the management was this or that. Ultimately I was unable to make those jobs work. I was kicked out of the forts and given the blessing of homelessness. After I spent a night in the wild in a very cold night. I will never allow myself to miss work or be late unless I'm dying in bed. My current job: I currently work at a small family restaurant, Saint Hellen's where I love to show up every day at my job and fell in love with serving It is an absolute blessing to work at such a great place. I prove to myself every single day I'm there I am worth it by working hard and making my customers happy. I am proud of that. I cant write more in this review. Unfortunately there's a word limit. Shout out to Brook Price for helping me man up. I'm a changed man. I love my life, my job, my friends, my fitness, my money. Email me at isaacbfut@gmail.com if you have any questions about the program for yourself or your son. I am not affiliated with Forte and can give you first hand answers. Kimball, Sariah, Jake, Mikey, Sam, Elliot, Rodney, Kim, Addy, Ammon. Eric, Brook. Thank you. I owe you guys the world. Tell your kid to trust the process. I wanted to quit prematurely so many times when it got hard but that's life. I promised my dad.

My son was just discharged after spending three months at Embark. We tried other treatment facilities with very little results. Our son appears to be a changed kid for the better although that is yet to be seen, the true test will be when he gets home and some time passes. All the staff at Embark have been absolutely amazing! They are quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we have had and truly seem to care. I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you have any questions and are thinking about this place for your son feel free to contact them and ask for my number I would be happy to share our experience. We have had a long road and can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel! Thank you Embark staff in Hurricane Utah! Cindy Swan

I was in Acqua October 2024 and the staff was amazing. They listened to what the clients had to say. The one thing Acqua offered that not a lot of the other places did is dual diagnosis. Not only do they treat addiction but the helped me get on meds that worked for me. I loved that I didnt get the 12 steps shoved down my throat. I liked my counselors and the staff helped me get everything lined out to go home in another state. I'm been sober for 9 months now.

Pretty good place. Staff take’s care of you. Case manager was great to work with. Food could be a lot better. The kitchen staff has a bit of an attitude problem.they do take out on Saturday night but didn’t ask if anyone has any allergies to certain foods and someone only got 2 wings for the night and the staff gave that person a you’re SOL look they rolled their eyes like they didn’t care. However besides that the groups are fantastic and sometimes we got to go off site for AA/NA meetings. Rooms were in great condition. Low key they should put in a soda fountain. 10/10 highly recommend going here.

The Nestled is a drug rehab facility accredited by the Joint Commission. They offer medical detox, residential and outpatient programs in a luxurious mini mansion in Las Vegas, Nevada. I visited Nestled Recovery Center last week and was really impressed with the personal attention I received. Alex and the team are truly outstanding! They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and felt welcomed throughout my visit. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients and aren’t just waiting for time to pass. The nursing staff were incredibly qualified and professional, which gave me confidence in the level of care provided here. What really stood out to me was how personal and flexible everything felt. There’s no strict, stingy corporate atmosphere like you might find elsewhere. It feels like a place where individual needs actually matter. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained, and the grounds create a really peaceful environment. I came away feeling like this would be an excellent choice for anyone needing quality care in a supportive setting. Highly recommend taking a tour if you’re considering your options.

You’ll find Pathways Real Life Recovery less than 30 minutes from Salt Lake City, in Sandy, Utah. Since 2007 this private treatment center has provided comprehensive care for adults and teens battling mental health conditions, substance abuse and other addictions. You can access a full continuum of care through their organization, including detox
The Pathways inpatient facility gave me more than physical safety and care—it gave me something I had never truly known before: true emotional safety. The entire staff worked together to help me grow in the three areas of life that must be engaged—mind, body, and spirit. I walked in carrying a heavy prejudice against all men, but it was three men in particular who ended up aiding me the most, showing me that at our core, we really are all just human. My main therapist, Daryl, guided me through reshaping my mindset and digging into my past to uncover my deepest wounds. He stood by me on one of the most emotionally painful days of my life, and I will never forget Destiny—one of the incredible nurses—literally running after him as he was about to head home, just so he could be there for me in that moment. Dr. Sellers provided me with the best medical care I could have asked for. He never rushed through visits, always taking the time to explain not just what he was doing, but why—making sure I understood and felt safe with my treatment. I also want to thank Dawn, a powerhouse nurse who believed in my strength even when I couldn’t see it myself, and who pushed me to rise to the challenge. Michael Ryan gave me the gift of faith and clarity in my higher power. He challenged me in ways I desperately needed, helping me confront the destructive core beliefs that caused me so much suffering and turn them upside down. He gave me the tools to question my own thoughts, and to approach them with both curiosity and compassion. Somehow, even in the middle of facing the hardest truths, he still managed to make me laugh and feel safe. I would also like to thank Lonnie, whose powerful meditation sessions left a deep impact on me. His encouragement meant so much because it came from a place of such authenticity. To all of you—thank you not just for changing my life, but for teaching me how to truly live it to the fullest.

There are many wonderful organizations and people in service to helping others with treatment and recovery. For me, the right fit was, is, and will continue to be Pathways. These folks are authentic in their desire to help change lives. They are some of the most remarkable humans I have been blessed with coming across in life. They are talented and skilled, and well equipped to meet mental health and substance abuse needs. They are particularly experienced with integrating well-rounded trauma focused treatment, using a variety of evidence based treatment modalities. Pathways staff AND clients create a safe space of healing and growth, and a place of acceptance and belonging, and without judgement. As a pathways client, I feel a sense of unity, community, and unyielding support. Pathways has LITERALLY saved my life. They have helped me find healing, and open doors to change my life. They have equipped me with the confidence, strength, tools, and understanding of my root influences to my recovery needs to live a new life, my best life! Wasatch was my first treatment center. Some of the staff that are not as versed in mental health have a very dangerous and possibly harmful way of “treating” clients. That being said most of the staff really cares and went above and beyond for me. Dekard and Dee stand out the most their positive and encouraging attitudes inspired me and pushed me to keep going. I can credit them for how far I’ve come (90 days). Like any place Wasatch has its short comings but all in all if you’re struggling with addiction it’s a great option 🖤

My name is Daniel Tapusoa, I started using at a young age, not realizing at the time that it was a way for me to cope with deeper issues. I got sober in 2001 but relapsed in 2008 and continued using until March of 2023, when I was dropped off at Wasatch Recovery. That moment changed my life. Wasatch didn’t just help me get clean—they helped me understand myself. The staff, the program, the support—they gave me tools I never had before, and for the first time, I found peace, joy, and real purpose. It’s emotional to say, but I’m actually grateful for my addiction and everything I went through, because it led me here. I’ve hurt people along the way, and recovery hasn’t been easy, but Wasatch helped me build a life worth living. I’m now two years clean—and even more meaningful, I work at Wasatch Recovery today. This place didn’t just help me heal—they gave me a second chance, and I’ll be forever grateful. 🤟🏽

Look no further, this is the place. Coming to Wasatch Recovery was the BEST decision I ever made. For years I had been desperately trying to change my lifestyle and pull myself out of addiction without success. Wasatch changed everything for me. The therapists are extremely qualified and very intuitive. I learned so much from them and the rest of the staff. They taught me how to align myself with the best version of myself, to love myself, to practice integrity, to be honest, to serve and uplift others, to be accountable, and gave me so many tools to grow and heal not only while I was there but things I still use now 10 months out of rehab. The staff are passionate about their jobs and about the mission of Wasatch. You can feel that their hearts are in it. I had never been to a treatment program where the owner shows up as much as Mark does. You can feel that he has a deep love for all of the clients and he and his team work hard to provide the best care possible. I could go on and on, this place relight the fire inside me to create a life that I will never give up. Thank you 🙏 💞

Our daughter was at the New Haven stabilization for about a month. She improved so much that she was released about 4 weeks early and she is now enrolled in an RTC in Montana. We are very grateful for the care and attention our daughter received there .We want to give a special thanks to Kristin her counselor .The medical staff did an excellent job also .

FFR has literally changed my entire life in the present moment and has given me a future that wasn't available to me before. They are a community that I belong to and I have never belonged anywhere or with anyone in my whole life. But now thanks to FFR I do. They are a welcoming community of like minded individuals all providing support to one another and changing the world for the better. In addition to these spiritual needs, they provided me the support I needed financially to get out of homelessness and the PRSS training program to provide me with a future.

I was thinking about my time at Reflections today and realized I’ve never left a review. This place is a god send. It truly saved my life, multiple times. The staff genuinely cares about your well being and they push you to do things that you never thought you’d be able to accomplish. They gave me hope and love when I felt unworthy of either. For the rest of my life I will be thankful for everything this amazing treatment center and the loving people that work there did for me in my darkest days. If you are lost, tired & need help getting sober, this is the place to go.

This was the best treatment experience I’ve ever had and I have been to several other ones in Utah. The family atmosphere and the amazing staff who genuinely care and always had my best interests at heart, the case management team were amazing at helping me to figure out a safe place to live and aftercare, the medical staff especially Sarah!! were amazing at helping me find the right medications and make sure I was sleeping well and feeling good and I can’t say enough about the clinical team!! I changed my life at reflections and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to get real solid treatment and not just a vacation!! Thank you Dustin and all the staff!!

I recently moved from Arizona and before I came into this house I moved to another sober living (not this one) and that house did not work out for me so I luckily found this one. The reason I say that because unlike other houses, here at New lyfe solutions the house manager works here at the house meaning he's actively involved helping you in your recovery and making you self sufficient. He will guide you to your meetings show you were they are and not only that. Push recovery upon you. If any parents or family members is reading this review wondering if this house is right for their loved ones. I can say that they won't be just on vacation here Carlos pushes recovery onto the men here. Not because he has to but he truly wishes the best for everyone here at the home. If ur anything like me and need real structure to have the best shot too regaining your life back. And start living not surviving. Come give it a shot! Nothing but great things here. Oh yeah Carlos the house manager helps out with grocery runs weekly which goes long way so you don't carry heavy water, soda, fruit, watermelon, etc back on your own. Great location too meeting down the street, fast foods, haircuts, smoke shops grocery stores. Bus stops. Won't regret this house one bit. Thanks for New Lyfe Solutions running a solid house and program. shout out to Carlos for helping me out as well.

Lab technician GINAMARIE is the best. I requested her because I am a "hard stick". Despite being a hard stick, she always hits my veins on the first stick. It diminishes any anxiety I may have if my PTSD flares up. Her conversations are calm and soothing. Please don't transfer.

Past client here, I spend almost two months at JMCR and during that time I was able to make so much progress to become the person I always wanted to be. JMCR allowed me to see my strengths and find love for myself, It taught me just how compassionate I really am and the impact that I have on others. Reggie and his team are experts in their field and work tirelessly (with love) to affect positive change in their clients. I remember on one occasion some of the staff were just reflecting on the emotional energy of time and tears started to well in their eyes. They told us how they just want the best for us and truly were expressing just how much they cared. Where other treatment programs might be punitive, JMCR takes a different approach to build you up with respect and compassion to help you find your strengths. Nothing could have helped me more than how JMCR helped me. I will be thankful for it for the rest of my life and I will never forget the people I met along the way! It’s important to note that I tried other treatment centers and they didn’t quite work… GO WITH JMCR you won’t regret it!

It has been 2 years since my time at The Phoenix. I can honestly say they saved my life. I didn’t know how they could possibly help me since I had already done some extreme treatments for my debilitating depression and SI. I started in residential and altogether spent about 5 months in their care. It took me working the steps and being accountable along with their care and I know I would not be here if it wasn’t for the help I received from their awesome staff. I still implement the skills I was taught there and refer back to the workbook we used. I would recommend this place to anyone.
