The staff here is absolutely amazing, it’s the epitome of a safe space for children who have no place to go. They cater to everyones needs and prioritize the emotions of the children, they believe and listen to you and most importantly they provide themselves as a stepping stone to put you in the right direction and a permanent source of guidance in life that you’ll never forget.

I have to disagree with some of the latest post. I attended sorensons for a long period of time. Not only did I benefit from the expertise from the many qualified staff. I can tell you first hand that while I was there for 4 years, I did not experience any abuse. Quite the opposite actually, I finally found people who listened to me, people who showed me tough love. I truly believe that was the best thing to happen in my life and Im still in contact with the staff there and it’s been years. Alot of the staff there take a personal intrest in the students. I know I could call Grandma, Jill or Layne if I ever needed anything and they would help. All I can say some of the kids DONT want help.. or to change.. coming from a child whom suffered a lot of physical abuse before getting to the ranch, the consequences they issued like mucking stalls and doing workouts built my character and weren’t abusive, and I’m beyond grateful for this place.

After a hard decision, I sent my son to SRS in 2020, 4 years ago. It changed his life for the better. It took him 2 years, but he did it. Was he 100% different, no, probably 80%, it's a work in progress. Your entire life you will work on your skills with your mental illness and behaviors, but he definitely came home so much better then when he left our family. Life was so much better, and we were able to have a relationship that we haven't had before and the sibling were too. The therapist was fantastic. He even did family therapy with one of the siblings at home that was having the most trouble with my son. He had a genuine interest in the entire family and having them be able to all work together. The entire staff at Sorenson's was wonderful and caring. His case manager would call weekly and update me with what was going on. They made sure he always had doctor and dentist appointments made when needed. If he was ever hurt, they would notify me and take him to the doctors. His favorite things were the campouts and the horses. Yes, you did have to earn them through your levels, which meant you needed to do your work and stay on task with your program. And if you weren't or got in trouble, you lost your points, and you started working on yourself again to earn them back. Things are a privilege and you learn that and you work for them. Yes there we're some people that may have been rougher than they needed to be with the kids but the kids figured out, don't misbehave, Get yourself in gear. My son made great friends while he was there. He even moved back and went to college in the area and was room mates with one of them. He also went back and wanted to work there to help the kids out, but wasn't old enough. Unfortunately almost a year after he graduated he was killed in a car accident. Some of the boys (friends) from the school came to his service, I didn't even know about them, and they shared wonderful stories about their experiences at the school with me. Some of them check in with me online just to see how I'm doing. There's a lot more good things that came out of the school then bad I can say. I highly recommend Sorensons Ranch School.

Long story short but I was first dosing and then ended up switching from the other methadone clinic to here (other one was horrible) let me tell you this place is TOP NOTCH. They actually care about your recovery and will work with you if you are having issues with payments or anything that is holding you back from getting your methadone. The program director is new her name is Lauren and she ROCKS if you have any issues go straight to her and she will listen and get you answers. She is a straight shooter no bs Director and I appreciate that. As long as you’re 100% honest with her she will work with you. In the beginning of my recovery I was sick and not in the best head space and made some poor choices over a spans of 2 days and I was welcomed back with open arms because HONESTY and MAT works!!

My daughter is a patient here and she had some issues with her treatment including her medication that is currently keeping her SOBER. My daughter has a hard time speaking up and communicating her feelings. When I went in to try to help her get this sorted out I realized that the new director is a young lady name lauren who was also one of the therapist at my daughters previous treatment center. She got all of our concerns taken care of FAST and advocated for my daughter to get her medication fixed and she got it to the right place very efficiently and didn’t give us the run around took care of it right on the spot. My daughter was very stressed about this before and had been nervous but Lauren fixed the situation efficiently and couldn’t have been more kind it’s rare to find people in these places that actually care about addicts. She also provided us with some much needed education on what medication assisted treatment is and how it works. She is very knowledgeable on this stuff and is able to break down things in a way that we can understand which I appreciated. Thank you Lauren for everything and helping keep my daughter sober!!!!!!!

I was nervous to go here because of the reviews. But once I did, I did NOT regret it. The ladies at the desk were super nice and patient when the need for rescheduling or anything else arose. The counselor I see is awesome and not judgemental which is very important when in this industry and has been hard to find in the medical field in Utah not being an LDS member. Give them a chance. They have more than one counselor if the first doesn't work. I've also got my son into counseling here and I think he will do very well.

I had two of my children seen there for several months. Recovery was not on a slow, we need money basis like I've felt at other clinics. Through the years I've had one of my 10 children go to 6 different clinics for one thing or another while dealing with death, divorce, blending family and other things and our experiences here were top of the centers.

Not only is he clean and sober, he is motivated in every way to better his life. The support and encouragement that he received at Diamond were unmatched by any other organization that he has ever dealt with. I truly owe my life to Chateau! I have been to Chateau twice after severely struggling and ended up spending almost three months total there. I was very anxious not being a first responder or veteran and much younger than many of those there. The second I walked through the front door, I felt safe. Clients and staff didn’t not care that I was neither of those things.
Through the help of Chateau, I found the motivation and will to stay alive and sober. I started to discover my authentic self and be happy with who I was. Chateau helped me in so many ways and will never be able to express the amount of gratitude I have for the facility, staff and clients.
They are accommodating to all needs and are truly there to help you become better.
I highly recommend this amazing place to anyone who is struggling!

A place full of people who don't even want to be there, they do not take it seriously. I know some people who ended up back in their addiction because this place is a joke. Food is scarce and in general no one contributes to a healing environment for recovery.

Steps was the first place I've ever gone to treatment and it was well worth it, so far it's saved my relationship with my wife, my family and myself. The staff is extremely kind and caring and just wants to help however in order for them to do so you have to be 110% open and willing to put in the work yourself.
If your looking into treatment this may help you so you know what your going into and what you can bring.
Blankets and pillows from home.
You can vape and smoke (don't flush vapes down the toilet or you'll lose your privileges for everyone it almost happened).
You can have food and candy (no energy drinks).
Family nights every other week on Tuesdays.
Black out period is 5 days (no phone calls).
Very scheduled, you'll be going from 8am to 8pm every day but it passes time quickly.
Just a few things that made my time easier, so if your looking into becoming a better you, this is the place to start.

This program is amazing. I've gone to 4 or 5 different places trying to find what could help me stay sober. This time I found the Lord and really paid attention to anyone and everyone's experience and advise. Pomarri has different times to accommodate everyone's schedule. If you get sick or something happens that you can't make it to group they really work with you because they WANT you to succeed! I've been sober for two years on October 3rd and I give mad props to my savior the Lord Jesus Christ and Pomarri!! Couldn't have done it without them!

I first found Pomarri in 2016 and it truly helped me though one of the hardest times in my life. I am currently getting help again from them and honestly I don't know what I would do without them. Tara is so caring and goes above and beyond to help me and make you feel like you can do it. All of the staff here does. Coming to Pomarri is a bit of a drive for me so I know I could find help somewhere closer to home however I don't think I would have stayed like I do at Pomarri because of the kindness and caring you get from the people at Pomarri. I have done multiple Types of treatments in the past couple of years. And they all seem so repetitive and focus on substance abuse. Pomarri actually has figured out a way to treat my drug addiction by helping me learn about a variety of other factors, including, but not limited to things to do with my childhood trauma. The underlining reasons why I do the things I do and the classes are very positive and interactive. I’ve been going here for almost 4 months now. They make the process very smooth and easy. They are very friendly, kind easy-going, and the doctor in House helps with all of and any medications that might be needed to make a smooth, lasting transition into what I would consider a beautiful new outlook in life and a sober, spiritual loving Environment. Thanks for everything you guys do!!

I was admitted here during the height of my Manic Episode. Every single employee is there to listen to what your story is and is non judgemental. They listen.
This is exactly what I would have loved to have during my first hospitalization 4 years ago. They have a structured day full of outside breaks and plenty of free time and resources to express yourself anyway that is safe to you and those around you. There are non-negotiable rules that they have in place, that said, it is for the safety of everyone in your unit.
I will never forget how well they treated me and got me the help I needed during the hardest month I was experiencing. 10/10 would recommend this facility for anyone who is struggling with their Mental Health.

This review is actually directed towards Valley Behavioral Health in SLC be is relevant here as well. Im sure they do a great job with the tools available to them. However, being mentally ill is exceptionally difficult to make money. My mental health illness symptoms increase drastically when I have no money...I feel that as well as prescribing me $2000 a month for medications, I feel $1000 a month in medications might be enough and/or $1000 a month in extra money for houesing etv. would DEFINITELY decrease my mental health illness issues and be money better spent. I went VBH for 17 years.My medications cost around $300.00 dollars 17 years. I took all those medications but I live in a trailer that I have a loan on, "thank you stimulus check for a down payment" I have no money and the credit union wants my trailer in 10 days. I'm past due. I'm not sure if $300.000 for medications might have done more good if it included a prescription for meaningful financial cash assistance.

When you are serious about recovery come to Deer Hollow. It will not be easy, but it will be worth it. I am a Paramedic that came up in the time of “stuff those emotions down”, I’m here to tell you that does not work. I've been going here almost a month and so far so good not any problem other then I have a service dog and she has all paperwork only thing that's hard sometimes is where everyone just brings there dog to the clinic that's not a service animal going in building sometimes makes things difficult cause other animals aren't trained and that makes things hard for me and my service dog... If they could just fix that problem the place would be great in my book.

Not my first rodeo. I have been through a few rehabilitation programs with several local treatment centers in Salt Lake City. Recovery Ways at Brunswick was equipped with staff that has experience and multiple tools to assist in the recovery process. The step down progression and support is second to none. I have memories and friends from my short time that I will carry for a lifetime. I am sober today in part because of the staff and resources I was gifted on my day of surrender. Highly recommended and even though the commitment seems daunting, the experience will enhance your life skills and provide ample suggestions to assist in a fight for life outside addiction.

When I left treatment in 2013, I was encouraged to get into a sober living house. I fought this tooth and nail, however, things just fell into place and Mike Brown went out of his way to really help me out and make sure I was taken care of. This place saved my butt!! Being fresh out of treatment I was quite panicked once I was out in the "real world" again. The structure and feeling of a safe place I could come home to with a bunch of like-minded gentlemen made the world of difference! Still to this day I speak with Mike and considering how many people come in and out of these houses and people he deals with he still remembers me and is always genuine and loving. Love this organization!

A little over four months ago I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Deer Hollow Sober Living and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). I had actually attended a different residential treatment facility in Salt Lake for roughly two months and was informed that their sober living was being closed. This turned out to be one the most impactful and positive things that happened to me in early recovery as it ultimately led me to Deer Hollow. I now have just over six months sober and can attest that their entire team, from ownership to clinicians to program coordinators to house managers, genuinely care about the well-being and lasting recovery of their clients. They maintain a long-term focus to help ensure every client has the best chance of ongoing success after you leave the structured environment of sober living / IOP, which from my past experience is a rare quality among treatment programs. I was admitted here during the height of my Manic Episode. Every single employee is there to listen to what your story is and is non judgemental. They listen.
This is exactly what I would have loved to have during my first hospitalization 4 years ago. They have a structured day full of outside breaks and plenty of free time and resources to express yourself anyway that is safe to you and those around you. There are non-negotiable rules that they have in place, that said, it is for the safety of everyone in your unit.
I will never forget how well they treated me and got me the help I needed during the hardest month I was experiencing. 10/10 would recommend this facility for anyone who is struggling with their Mental Health.

This review is actually directed towards Valley Behavioral Health in SLC be is relevant here as well. Im sure they do a great job with the tools available to them. However, being mentally ill is exceptionally difficult to make money. My mental health illness symptoms increase drastically when I have no money...I feel that as well as prescribing me $2000 a month for medications, I feel $1000 a month in medications might be enough and/or $1000 a month in extra money for houesing etv. would DEFINITELY decrease my mental health illness issues and be money better spent. I went VBH for 17 years.My medications cost around $300.00 dollars 17 years. I took all those medications but I live in a trailer that I have a loan on, "thank you stimulus check for a down payment" I have no money and the credit union wants my trailer in 10 days. I'm past due. I'm not sure if $300.000 for medications might have done more good if it included a prescription for meaningful financial cash assistance.

Utah Trauma has made a lasting impact on how I see myself and the way I treat the world. The amount of knowledge I gained from my stay at this treatment center is unreal.
My initial intention when I landed at Utah Trauma was to create a much needed foundation I could grow from. Im writing this 2 weeks into the real world so the afterglow is still very strong from everything I gained from my experience at this house. I expected a very surface level of foundation than what I actually have now. I was more seeking a physical security rather than the emotional structure I now have. I feel more confident shaping my future with the tools I learned at Utah Trauma than I ever planned.
Fully immersing myself into the world of self growth that this place had to offer opened my eyes to more truths about my past than I really imagined. Jumping into an inpatient treatment center has a ton of variables. The way this house is setup makes for so much more actual real world life lessons than the previous program I sat thru. I always felt a true level of compassion from the people that ran Utah Trauma during my stay no matter how hard it was for me to face whatever truth I was being presented.
I couldn't have asked for more from this treatment facility. No matter the drama within the clients there was always a deep level of respect for how each patient felt about what was happening within the culture and I cant emphasize this enough. It's difficult to see passed the emotional lenses when drama is faced head on.
Jeremy had an awesome approach with every person at this facility during my time here.

I would have rated 4 stars but at the end of the day they're a business so you will be treated to their standards and I was treated well. Other than that I had a mixed, complicated experience. You should know about the type of residents who reside there, mostly severe drug addicts, convicts and people with severe trauma and suicidal tendencies so living with a bunch of strangers who mostly are there because of legal issues and not so much that they're truly trying to turn their life around is going to cause drama. There's a lot of house and client issues that it interferes with group therapy. There's a lot of needy, complaining, immature clients that make it difficult for the ones who are willing there and committed to the program and truly seeking help and change. Every now and than there's also favoritism among the clients, therapists and interns who put in hours there. They don't hire people for chore duties or meal cooks so clients have to participate in all that among other activities such as going to AA meetings and gym time along with the strict rules they ( which nobody follows, rules are broken, people are held accountable but there's no disciplinary action until it's reached totally out of control than you're kicked out) but I found all this truly beneficial trying to also have some order and discipline in my life. It's a fairly, decent, classic type of home, nothing modern. They have equine horse therapy in which they have 2 lovely, friendly horses and my favorite a donkey named Nacho. On the bright side, it's a lovely home, beautiful landscaping all around the house, beautiful views of Eagle Mountain, Saratoga and UT County Lake which I found very therapeutical. The owners did a very good job in designing and constructing the home along with it's location. Shout out to the staff who work there (Darron, Callie and Avery) in which they're family but they're very nice and professional and you will be taken care of no matter what you got going on. Try to make sure you're type of insurance is "in network" first especially the Medicaid plans cause it sucks to get admitted but have to leave because you're insurance didn't cover the stay but they will still try their hardest to make things work out. I especially want to shout out my therapist James. He truly cares, he handles himself professionally but yet he's laid back and super funny. Apart from him being my therapist I found his groups more enjoyable and knowledgeable. Also want to mention that this type of program is mostly based on "group therapy" rather than the one on one personal therapy with the therapist. Shout out to Jeremy as well, life changing experience with the EMDR therapy and truly inspirational therapists, I myself have always loved psychology and working with them truly inspired and motivated me to perhaps get into this type of field. Much love and respect on how they orchestrated the program. My family and I see and feel the change and how I've grown and learned but recognize that it was just an awesome stepping stone towards my journey to continue on a successful recovery.

No you don’t. You have rescheduled me every week since November. Zero cares given. Keep trying to reschedule me during times I’m working. AVY is nothing short of a failure to help people and take care of people in the community.
If you truly cared you would stop the same copy pasted reply and actually help others in making sure the therapist can even make it to an appointment.
It’s a joke that AVY thinks this is even acceptable.

The staff are amazing they all care and didn't allow me to cross boundaries which is what I needed to start living in my values. Like any program u will get out what u put in.
