Matr isnt a ordinary rehab program ..although 12 step program is in the curriculum it is a small portion of the rehabilitation process ...the staff and counselors have all been patients or in recovery themselves. When first walking thru the door u feel as if u just got to ur favorite aunt or relatives house u would visit yearly..you know the ones who never judged u but always made sure u knew when u were *€!@&÷? Up and gave u wisdom and advice to get thru it..jeanie is the sweetest REALEST people ive ever met..no matter the issue if ur genuine and u give 116% she will have ur back and shes saved alot of lives .kept alot of people from dying ,and serving life sentences in prison.shes known world wide and people listen when she speaks..hasnt been like that always if u know her story.but she spoke up for recovery addiction and other important issues and has gotten alot of laws and bills passed.you work with horses the environment is beautiful..not to mention the mind body and soul work ..its amazing what you learn..this is where u want to be if you want to change ur life..and u can smoke cigarettes .lol..

Four Corners Behavioral Health begins all treatment with an assessment to determine whether a client should parti | Treatments Programs Payment Options | The reply to this review may say, "Never had record of this patient," because they didn't have the competency to get her through intake after arriving. One of our adult children suffers with mental illness as well as high functioning autism. After days of working with admissions, detailing her behaviors as well as special needs, they said they specialize in bipolar and borderline personality disorder. That seems to be untrue. Upon arriving she was compliant and wanting to attend the program. We followed protocol and brought her in at the scheduled time. The front desk acted as if they had no idea why we were there. Staff supposedly helping with intake just stood there while we were wondering next steps. Finally, we left our daughter assuming they knew what they were doing. She became fearful as they began to shuffle through her personal items and told her she would be there for months. She was there for less than one hour upon telling staff she wanted to leave. She insisted they give her bags back and said she was leaving. They let her stroll outside stating they can't keep someone if they want to leave, then called the police to follow her. This young adult has special needs. They sent her out to the street for police to take elsewhere. They did not allow her to call us. Having legal guardianship they are able to speak freely with us without violating HIPPA. New Roads called and left a message saying, "They no longer have her". I was able to contact them several hours later. The therapist Jessica, giggling nervously, told us she didn't know exactly where she was. She said she gets confused with the names of facilities where they are sent. She looked at her report and said she thought she might be at Utah Valley something but wasn't sure. They seem to be a low budget Cirque Lodge Drug Rehab wannabe, not equipped to deal with those suffering from mental illness. Unprofessional. Disappointing.

I was nervous to go here because of the reviews. But once I did, I did NOT regret it. The ladies at the desk were super nice and patient when the need for rescheduling or anything else arose. The counselor I see is awesome and not judgemental which is very important when in this industry and has been hard to find in the medical field in Utah not being an LDS member. Give them a chance. They have more than one counselor if the first doesn't work. I've also got my son into counseling here and I think he will do very well.

Through the years I've had one of my 10 children go to 6 different clinics for one thing or another while dealing with death, divorce, blending family and other things and our experiences here were top of the centers.

I came to MATR after getting arrested at 42 years old. I had been using since age 19. I was a patient in 1999 and celebrated 18 years of continuous sobriety this last April. I am looking forward to my 19th birthday in April. I have my children and grandchildren in my life. I have been employed full time since getting clean and sober. The information I learned at MATR has given me so many new coping methods to life's problem. I have had several family members go to MATR also. I would highly recommend this treatment center to any one with an addiction.

Before MATR, my addiction imprisoned me in the deepest and darkest corner of the worst kind of hell imaginable. I wanted nothing less than to cry myself to sleep. Only I knew once I closed my eyes I would be able to see the monster I had become. The idea of facing this monster was absolutely paralyzing. At MATR, I began to look at within. With MATR’s unique multiple approach I began to heal myself. Now, I love what I see.Today, I believe in myself. Now, with the new outpatient facility in Orem, Utah, I have been able to return home with a solid aftercare plan and continue a successful recovery.

I cannot say enough about how Deer Hollow has changed the trajectory of my life. After years of intense trauma therapy with little progress, I had reached such a low point that our fire department’s mental health team recommended I come to Utah. When I agreed, I had no idea how I was going to get through six weeks of residential treatment—and by week three, I wasn’t sure there would be enough time. Clinicians and admissions worked together to ensure I could continue the work we started with their PHP and IOP programs, which I feel were crucial.
After years of struggling with pain and confusion of trauma, on and off the job, they were able to listen, hold space and help me begin to understand, heal and grow.
Deer Hollow takes a truly holistic approach to wellness, incorporating nutrition support, physical exercise, yoga, and community service alongside group and individual therapy. The structured, intensive schedule helped me build a routine that I still follow today.
An amazing bonus is the ongoing alumni support—weekly online check-ins, group meditation or yoga, and the meaningful connection with peers who continue to walk this journey with me.
I am forever grateful for the amazing clinicians, techs, admissions team, and support staff who have given me a new outlook on life.

My daughter was admitted from January- April 2026. I want to start by saying my daughter really struggled academically and behaviorally and my biggest fear was sending her to a place that would cause more harm then good. I researched and researched to make sure I found a place that I knew my daughter would be safe in. One thing about New Haven is the family support from other parents. New Haven was recommended to me from another parent who’s child was currently in the program and I am so happy I chose this placement. The first month was the hardest for both of us, her behaviors increased and so did my anxiety, however her therapist and the staff kept me well informed and walked me through all interventions! By month two we saw so much growth and stability from my daughter. The family therapies really helped us learn what she was feeling and how we can get closer as a family. Nursing was exceptional, they are very quick to respond to my questions and I had LOTS of questions regarding medication. They really listen to what my daughter was saying and did everything they can to help her with her symptoms of her diagnosis. The school portion was also amazing, my daughter struggled with school avoid and they worked with her and got her on a path where not only is she going to school and is doing the work and passing! She is very excited to go back to her school and show all her teachers what she has accomplished. The other thing that made me feel very comfortable with this transition to programming was the was the way milieu was ran. When you have 16 girls with 16 different reasonings of why they are admitted can easily create cauois but the staff really created an environment where the girls can grow safely and effectively. But also not to forget the girls really were their for eachother like a sisterhood. The only reason why I chose not to give 5 stars to New Haven was because it is not finaclially maintainable if insurance runs out and have no other source of funding it is very expensive. Although her therapist really advocated for her our Insurance dropped us and we had to leave before the program was completed. If I had to recommend a RTC for your daughter I highly recommend New Haven.

My LO never had the opportunity to receive treatment here, but I can't say enough good things about Natalia who works at intake. My son was arrested due to his mental illness. In a frustrating system, Natalia was a shining light who worked hard to help my son get treatment instead of prison. She wrote multiple letters to the judge, New Roads came out and did assessments and validated my questions and concerns. If the actual facility listens and cares like she did, I am sure the place would be amazing. It came highly recommended to me from various parents whose loved one's were able to recover, thanks to New Roads. I truly wish my son could have received the help that he needs from a place like this. Unfortunately, our country still has a long way to go in the criminalization of those suffering with a serious mental illness. Thanks New Roads for all that you tried to do and especially Natalia.

Springville, UT | Embark Behavioral Health - Canyon Road Springville in Springville, Utah, is an accredited residential treatment center for mental and behavioral health, based in the foothills of the stunning Wasatch Mountains, right in Hobble Creek Canyon. Support here is available to teen girls, nonbinary folk, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Flexible payment is availabl | Treatments Payment Options | My experience with Embark has been wonderful. My daughter was mentally unstable when arriving to Embark. I called several different facilities and Embark was the best option. Intake Specialist, Financial Rep, Therapists, Drs, Nurses the entire team was supportive as especially being 19 hrs away from home. Family sessions were conducted as needed, the open communication and emails were great to keep me updated with progress. This is the first place that was supportive of my decision not to rush to put my daughter on Meds as soon as possible. My daughter remained at Embark for 4 months and I can say she has matured, developed more self esteem, improved respect and has showed tremendous improvement in her mental health. She currently only taking meds that’ she actually needs but eventually can be winged off. Therapist Ray and Beth has checked on my daughter and means so much to us. My daughter talks about how she’ misses the mountains and all the kind people she met while there. My daughter experienced good days with peers and bad days but every experienced was needed for her growth. I appreciate everyone that was apart of our experience. As far as price holy crap it is pricey lol but there’s payment plan options (if you qualify). Before my daughter was released, a ceremony was held. Now that she’s home, she’s still apart of Embark online Therapy which was also another option. I love it bc her progress and growth continues. My daughter misses the chef that’s at the house, the trail walks and 24/7 care. Thanks so much.

i stayed here from 6/16/22 to 9/6/22. i really liked my stay here. i have so many positive memories from embark, like stealing an ice cream bucket and eating it in a closet with broken hangers with my roommates, bug hunting with my favorite staff members (laura and carsen), and so many more. one thing i did not like here was how every time i would level up, a rule would change and i wouldn’t be able to do that certain thing. for example, the “transition room” for the clients on transition, was automatically no longer the transition room when i leveled up, and another example, also while i was on transition, parents could take out their kids for a few days AND overnights while visiting, but as soon as i hit transition, guess what? they took that away. other than that, my therapist cameron was amazing and helped me in so many ways. the staff that worked there when i was there have moved on with their lives and i have too, but i still think about my embark days.

Embark is a wonderful residential treatment facility for teenage girls. My daughter was spiraling out of control for two years and after trying everything we could, I researched places all over the country and decided on Embark. The entire staff was amazing. The communication we received weekly about the progress was so detailed. The building is comfortable and homey, giving the girls the perfect environment to work on their mental health goals. The therapists were phenomenal. It was three months of intensive individual, group and family therapy. They also provided the structure and routines to help develop character, resilience and responsibility. I can’t say enough good things about Embark. I will be forever grateful for how my family was able to repair our lives with the guidance of Embark.

I had an excellent experience at Willow Tree receiving help for alcoholism. The staff was incredible, the facility was clean and comfortable, and the administrative staff did wonders with my insurance company so that the whole experience was possible. I was nervous about going to treatment, but I couldn't be happier that I did, and Willow Tree exceeded my hopes and expectations. Thank you, Willow Tree, for all the help, friendships, guidance, support, and for my sobriety!
PS- about to celebrate 6 years. 🥰🙏

Loa, UT | Legacy Outdoor Adventures is a residential treatment center located in Loa, Utah. They’ll work with you to get your treatment preauthorized. They’ll often take a downpayment instead of the | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Best decision I ever made. Being out in nature and having to overcome fears that you wouldnt experience in a normal rehab setting taught me a ton and gave me a different perspective on life & recovery. I went to 2 different places for treatment before Legacy and the people that work at Legacy care so much more. It was the hardest thing I’ve had to do, it definitely wasn’t easy. I wanted to leave everyday for a month but sticking through it benefited me so much and I grew to love all the badass stuff you get to do there. I have the most sobriety now since trying to get sober, most likely wouldn’t be the case if I didn’t go there

Choosing to enroll in a program like this is a significant financial and emotional commitment, and I hope my experience can help guide others facing the same decision. I waited to write this review until several months after our son John completed his time at Legacy, since the real measure of a treatment center is how a child fares after discharge.
There aren’t enough stars to rate Legacy, nor enough words to express how profoundly their treatment benefited John. Before Legacy, John was struggling—depressed, anxious, and lacking direction after high school graduation. He was caught up in computer and phone addiction, using marijuana, and eventually experiencing suicidal thoughts. Despite years in traditional therapy with caring counselors, nothing seemed to help. With the help of a consulting firm, we discovered Legacy.
At 18, John had to make the decision himself. Initially, he resisted and was upset by the idea, convinced he could recover at home. Chris in admissions and Derek supported us, helping us communicate with John. During a particularly difficult period, we persuaded him to try Legacy. The wilderness portion was tough for him as he doesn't enjoy being outdoors, but the staff’s kindness convinced him to stay for the full three months.
We visited John during the family weekend workshop two thirds of the way through his treatment, and saw remarkable progress—he was more patient, optimistic, and confident, discovering joy in small things and learning he could overcome fears. The staff was compassionate and informative, and the group activities, (run by Mike, Troy and Justin), went much deeper than traditional therapy. Brody’s caring attitude, along with his dog Nemo, made a lasting impact, and Amber, John’s counselor, worked tirelessly to equip us all with the tools for John’s lasting success.
John returned home just before Thanksgiving. While we still take things one day at a time, we are amazed at his transformation. He’s regained his spark—earning praise at his new job, attending school with perfect attendance, working out daily, and independently managing his appointments.
We’re beyond grateful to see his joyful self again. I hope our story offers encouragement to anyone considering Legacy for their loved one.

I felt extremely comfortable working under Mike Hinkle, Kyle, Bek, and Jake as directors. Jake was wicked smart and poetic, challenged people, Beks a fantastic listnener and lax human who I wish I got to work with more. Kyle is very in touch with reality and intelligent, great with boundaries. Mike Hinkle is one of the best humans at connection and compassion I’ve witnessed. Brody is a great guide too, especially at building relationships, true role model human. Ted as well, that guy has a ton of experience and really enjoyed my week with him and Bek. I had some very difficult challenges before I made the tough decision to leave back to Arizona and felt loved and supported by all of them. I’ll certainly miss interacting with these stand out people.
